[ROM] CWM Flashable - T959VUVKD1 - DEODEXED[05/11/2011]

Here you go guys. Credit for the base goes to Whitehawkx, luckyduck69, and joedev for KD1, I just took the tar, re-deodexed, and made it CWM Flashable with unters deodex program.
If you have the update.zip (CWM Beta1) on your sd, please upgrade to Beta2.

Here it is.
T959VKD1 fully flashable through CWM

No, you need the Clockwork mod in order to flash the update. Check out the CWM thread and it will explain how to set it up. Once you have clockwork, all you need to do is go into the Clockwork recovery and select the zip to flash it.

Yes, you do... you place the Update.zip in the root of your SdCard and then boot into Stock Recovery and select Reinstall packages (this will install the update.zip which is CWM Recovery)(U should check the Beta2 Thread for more info)

I had issues with market and any version of KD1 (Odin/Heimdall or CWM version). Found out my extra 1500mAh battery was causing me headaches. Are you running the stock battery?

CWM Beta2 semi bricked phones, re Odin it and try Beta3
When I flashed the rom I lost root and my phone would reboot when I hit the power button to lock the screen. Reflashed whitehawks deodexed KD1 will try it again with CWM beta 3.

[Q] what recovery is use

for my phone i try the CWM from rom manager, but my recovery have the samsung recovery ? @[email protected]? and i has seen other talking bout cwd dont work and then im not sure but something call kG4 ??
i rooted my phone with the superone click but i cant get a recovery so i can flash ROMs on my phone ??
I recommend you to ODIN one of the customize ROM or KERNEL in the development session first to get the CWM ( most of the case it was integrated to the ROM or kernel) then you can flash any ROM you want.
Or use the cwm final thread in the dev section.

Hey im new to atrix 2 because i had nexus one and samsung infuse in the past and there flashing instructions where easy but for me this seams complicated. So far i rooted my Atrix 2 and ive installed bootstrap. MY goal is to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1584505 but im not sure what to do because i was reading different threads and some people say you need cwm on boot others say you do some other stuff.... Can someone expierienced give me step by step instructions of what to do next thank you.
Sonya comes with cwm on boot. Just download the zip and extract it to the cwm folder on your sd card, then do a full wipe, and then restore it.

Yes. We don't have a way to actually flash an alternate recovery image, so doing it this way helps prevent softbricks.

Cwm not working on 2.3.6 properly

Whenever I try to install a zip file in cwm, it says the installation has been aborted. And I know the zip file is a good one. Why isn't it reading my files?
I currently use rom manager and cwm 2.5.1.2 runs by default. At the bottom of the application, it offers to change the cwm edition. it offers 2.5.1.4, 2.5.1.3, and 2.5.1.1. When I select 1.4 or 1.3 it can not be downloaded. For 1.1 it can be, but when I boot into recovery, it only runs 2.5.1.2, which does not load any zip files. Do you think there might be a difference if I tried to download the touch cwm recovery? Or is there an entirely differnt recovery to use? I'd be Willing to pay a few dollars.
Also, when I open cwm, it says there is an update for clockwork mod recovery, but have no clue on how to actually update cwm.
Thanks

Go to ROM Manager and click on the top option. Pick i9000 to update your CWM.
I did try that and every time I do... it says the installation has been aborted. It makes it about 1/3 of the way on the progress bar then it is aborted for some odd reason.
All I want is to be able to flash

Why use Rom Manager at all? You could just use Heimdall to flash an unsecured kernel with CWM built into the one-click package. The first 2 posts in this thread will tell you how:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524081
I have read that maybe flashing a new kernel would solve the cwm issues. Just not sure exactly where to Get a decent one. I have the app sgs kernel flasher to help simplify the process as long as i have the kernel on my phone.
I'm new to the flashing sort, but have gotten used to cwm and don't want to abandon it. I have been success with it on other devices... just not with this infuse on 2.3.6
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
Entropy's dd kernel should work fine. There's a heimdall one-click for it too.
Sent from my sweet & buttery Infuse
Is it red Cwm? Was it red? You need to get back to red if not.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
I flashed entropy's kernel and cwm is now red. And by red, I'm assuming the letter colors?
It didn't say "error installation aborted" when I booted into cwm, which is a good sign. Haven't tried to flash a rom yet though. Pretty sure it will work now
Thanks

Also, have you tried a different ROM, or just the same one?

Basically what the first reply was, but wanted to add in so you know,
If you used ROM Manager to do basically anything, you need to NVFlash CWM and than always use CWM to flash anything. ROM Manager does whats called a fake flash of CWM.
And than yes, which ROM(s)?
