Hi Jeffixx
Read my PM please.

so far so good
stripped most of the excess rubbish out (can i suggest making a lite version) - seems solid and relatively quick.
Nice to have a bit of themeing action to freshen up the menus.
Stock launcher is snappy, a little lag in transitions but otherwise.
Nothing major to report back as yet.
Will give a good test over the course of the week ........well i'll try.
Sorry should say im using Msticninja Veno o/c @ 1.5g / sio / interactive

Just to say that this Rom really rocks. Coming from AOKP, got tired of no ntfs support and many other things not in those builds. This (I know is based on asus rom) is way better and now everything work again.
Some suggestios:
1. Please, remove all the asus apk garbage.
2. Add Power Menu.
3. Include an OC kernel. (I'm using guevor test15 with no issues.)
Thank you!!

Can you explain your self why you want a rom that is as close as stock possible with out asus "garbage" ? If you dont want it use an AOSP build. I like that "garbage".

aosp base is completely different to the Asus base. Some of us prefer to have the Asus base as in some circumstances the Aosp base can be a little less stable or encounter its own set of problems......
Asus apps and Gapps are 2 different things. Dont mind Gapps but some manufacturers go overkill with some of the other junk they add in. Personally i dont want the junk working away in the background using up ram or taking up space.
The devs also have different methods for doing things with the roms so its good to test the base out then add in all the other junk later if you want or need it. Or stick to the Asus Stock build for your region.
Its up to the dev at the end of the day, no harm in asking for a lite version to go with the bloated version.

rom sounds good
anyone tried it yet?
and the main question is, does it suffer sOD and random reboots also?

havent had an sod or reboot as yet, its solid so no harm in trying it.

Soooo why can't you just add them back in then? Lol
And I did say I removed the rubbish myself
Great examples are Revolver with revolver parts, krakd/frozn with upd8r......you choose what junk you add back in.
Anyway, the shy boys don't get the sweeties if you don't ask.....

[MOD][BETA][DEPRECATED] - HC 3.0 DEODEXED ROMS ONLY | Power Options

I'm looking for Beta testers running a deodexed 3.0 ROM to try out my latest mod, this is NOT for 3.1 users!
What is it? It's an experiment to see if I could add an option to reboot into recovery in the power off screen that appears when you long press the power button.
I don't like having to do the Power & Vol -, Vol + thing so I created this instead.
It comprises of nothing more than a modified framework-res.apk from PRIME! 1.3r2
I have successfully tested on both PRIME! v1.3r2 and MoDaCo's Hr5 but have a ROM ready on your sdcard just in case you experience any issues.
I'm looking for feedback as to whether this works ok and whether it is a useful feature. Currently it is only available for 3.0 ROMS but may be ported to 3.1 at a later date.
Once it's ready I'll be doing a guide detailing how the mod was achieved.

Update - 3.1 versions now available from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052380
This needs to be ported to 3.1
I guess its because Prime 3.1 is only partially deodexed?
Wish I could help with your testing but I won't be going back to 3.0.x
Between Roach, Netarchy, Clemsyn and Blade (and all the other developers), I think we're in very good hands here. I almost feel back at home on the EVO threads
I would love to get this on HC 3.1 as well, I'm running your Primeordial 3.1 rom and like you think that that single option in the shutdown menu Asus "offered" is a PITA. Crap, it doesn't even offer a reboot option...
Nice work on this. Will try it out and leave feedback as soon as I can download it. The first time I tried, the file was corrupt. Now been trying to d/l for last hour, but the file just won't download..
Ok, has anyone else managed to download this file yet? When I finally do manage to get it to download, the resulting file is only 1.2MB, not 7.65MB, and when I open it in WinRAR, I get the "Unexpected end of archive" message. Needless to say, attempted flashing of this file in CWM gives a "(bad)" error message

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Since Honeycomb 3.1 has now been fully deodexed, I have made these mods available for for PRIME! v1.4. THey are in the OP. I've also fixed the bootloop issue I was having with them.
I tried this on Prime 1.5 and got a bootloop.
Why did u use this ?
Prime 1.5 comes with this option built in so no need to flash again

(Rom Customs) Ice Cream Sandwich for LG O3D !!

Here it is a brand new Rom Custom that i find on the net. It's not the official Rom but still, looks amazing !! I haven't installed it yet, but i planned to do it tonight and i will let you know how it goes ;-)
Here it is the presentations and also how to install it ! Enjoy guys !

Screen Captures of ICS 4.0 on LG Optimus 3D:
Screen Captures of ICS 4.0 on LG Optimus 3D:
Procedure to update Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 on LG Optimus 3D:
First up you need to download the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 Firmware Zip to your computer. Once it’s downloaded, you will now need to proceed to connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase.
So, once you are done with the downloading, you need to copy this downloaded zip file as it to your phone without modifying or renaming the file. Once you copy the same, you now need to download the ROM Manager application in your phone.
The ROM Manager can be installed from the Android Market Place. Now, once you downloaded and installed the ROM Manager application, you need to open the same and then select the option of “Flash Clock Work Mod Recovery” to flash the same.
Once you are done with this, you now need to create a backup of your current ROM which you can do by selecting the option of “Backup Current ROM” in the ROM Manager so that you can then revert back to the Stock original version just in case if you face any issues with the new Ice Cream Sandwich ROM as its in the beta stage.
After this select the option of “Install ROM from SD Card” and then you will have to choose the zip file of “IceCREAMSandwich4.0_for_LGOptimus3D_KingROM” after which the process of the firmware update will be commencing.
After a period of around 5 – 8 minutes, the firmware update process will be finished and then you will see that the device will be restarted on its own, if not then you need to select “++++ Go Back ++++” to get back to the main menu and then choose to “reboot system now” to restart the phone.
Just in case if you are facing issues like the Force Close errors then you need to select the options Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe Cache partition and then choose reboot system now to restart the phone and to enjoy this all new firmware.

I don't get it! Is it a custom rom based on ICS or a froyo/gb themed with ICS looks?
Sent from my LG-P920 using Tapatalk
I'm guessing that it will be froyo with a ICS theme on it if its the King3d rom...
That's actually a good question cause it's not mentioned in the article. I just shared it with you guys.
Anyway, i'm gonna try it tonight and i'll tell you if it works or not.
I'm actually with gingerbread in my phone, so i update my baseband of course ;-)
Tried to download the file through androidadvices website. Zip file is corrupted.....
If it were ICS rom, kingrom probably would have put the file already on xda ;-)
Looks too me just like:

No doubt about it Froyo with ICS theme.
Yep i think you're right...
The website where i found it didn't mentioned that and i didn't realize at first that it was the KingRom 3D V2.2
So basically, even on our GB rom, with GO Launcher + ICS Theme, we can have the aspect of ICS....
My mistake ! Sorry guys !
This is a BIG FAKE
This is Ice Cream Sandwitch theme created by me, for our rom (King_3D_ROM).
It's froyo!

CWM-flashable stock ICS buttons

I am running the Android Revolution HD ROM by mike1986 found here, and found that it uses the ASUS buttons for back, home, menu and recent apps but I like the stock ICS buttons better so I made this.
This is a CWM flashable zip that will replace the ASUS buttons with the stock ICS buttons on your ICS ROM. It works for me on ARHD, however it might not work on your ROM. I took the SystemUI.apk file from ARHD and so I'm not responsible if you use it on any other ROM if it changes more than just the buttons.
Please report if you have any problems using it with the Android Revolution HD ROM for the TF101.

Can't install either of these on Revolver 4.0.4 RC3, both abort with an error.
[EDIT] Got the ones from the link above to install after flashing the new Rogue XM Touch Recovery, but this one still aborts with an error in the .zip (Status 0).

[Q] What ROM have folks settled on ?

I have been running the latest stock JB for a day and would like to know what other ROMs peeps have had a good experience with. I see folks on Clean Rom and Cyanogen 10. If your using one of those I would like to know how well they work any broken features?
Cheers,
Feend
Why don't you add a poll to make it easier for folk?

CleanROM Inheritance 3.0.4 also

Didn't think of that good idea!

I'd been on the stock rom for ages... only took the plunge to unlock this week. I'm using:
TWRP 2.3.3.0
I first installed surdu_petru The Ultra Fast Rom V03 (I wasn't too keen on the new icons)
Then installed Cleanrom Inheritance 3.04 (Keeping surdu_petru kernel)
Having root and being able to delete anything I want has been great.. I was going to remove the stock browser and install Opera Mobile and re-map the keyboard dock key to Opera. I didn't needed to as the stock browser works great now. Really impressed with the rom  .... I've used m TF300T more in the last week than I have in the previous 6 months.... it really was a slow piece of crap before (I'd tried everything to get this thing running smoothly before unlocking).
I have to say Asus REALLY needs to look at doing something to make the stock rom workable. No one should have to unlock and flash a new kernel / rom just to be able to use the stock browser properly.
Both roms worked great just prefer sbdags theme more
I have tried most of the roms and without a doubt at the present time its clean rom 3.0.4 for me. unters first tf300 kernal at 1.6 ghz overclock and 520 mhz gpu works great and i did not find any thing at all that didnt work as it should. unters 4.4.20 is what i use and that breaks the front camera but has a slightly higher 1.7 ghz overclock and 600 mhz gpu. the clem kernals work on mine but i get fc on occasion and they also break the cam and do not support some micro sd cards. imho you will not find a better rom atm period though all the roms are very nice and people worked very hard to make them so try em and see what suits your taste buds, bud oh and i did find that my gps wasnt woring well but after flashing the agps patch it cleared right up.
Baked Blackbean 7 Tester :good:
I flashed all available Roms so far. Clean Rom is the best by miles.
Cleanrom runs good, nothing to complain about.
Running Blue Android 2.0, and clean fast.. .
Paranoid Android v2.54 with the modified Unter kernel. I've been running it since day 1 and love it!
Sent from my Transformer Pad TF300T using Xparent Purple Tapatalk 2
I am using CM10.1. It is pretty stable and fast, and has new updates every day, adding new features and fixing bugs. Also, it's 4.2.1, which has its advantages. (and disavantages, the new UI sucks)
I've been using CaponmodTF the past few days, though I've tried cleanrom as well but CapmonTF is imo the smoothest of them all.
Swiping a page with the stock browser on this one has the smoothest experience. So I choose none of the list.
i voted Clean, but really miss PA...
incomplete list of choices
I've been running Energy Rom by NRGZ28, clean smooth & fast, have had no issues.
I'm on clean rom mostly so I can try the arch dual booting
Otherwise I'd be on a cm based rom
Probably jellybro

Now CM10.1 Nightlies......patiently *cough* waiting for KA06!
I was on Baked blackbean 6 then to CM 10.1 nightlies. Went to clean rom last night after I got the keyboard ($50 at office depo).
There are so many good things about each one of them: bb has rom control and customizations; CM10.1 with Android 4.2's new features; cleanrom for it's asus feel and keyboard compatability.
I am really happy with the development on this device!
CleanRom 1.8GHz is so sick.

You must use twrp for sure. The two best ROMS out there are cyanogen mod and CROMIX. Also Hundsbuah's kernel for CROMIX is excellent. Pimp my ROM is a good app for modding but only use it on cyanogen or CROMIX.

LOL! Really.
Cromi-X is the easiest recommendation on your to-do list, and Pimp My ROM really does neat things when using in conjunction with lucius.zen's excellent tweaking guide. pjc21 has some great color modifications out there for CROMI(-X) that are really worth tryig out.
And as Tylorw has already put forward -- use Goo Manager to install TWRP and make absolutely sure that you have the latest version! -- as we speak, that'd be 2.5.0.0 -- because CWM seems to have some trouble handling Android versions of 4.2.x properly and may brick your new toy.

I've seen a lively discussion in here somewhere (probably the CROMI thread) in which our guru _that delivered the coup de grace to the ODEX/DEODEX myth -- it only matters insofar as you want to tweak and modify (specifically: theme). Once booted, the same code is run by both versions -- the boot of one of them (I believe DEODEX, but I may be 100% wrong there) takes longer because the code to be run has to be generated first. As in the end it doesn't matter -- and since I have theming options available for both versions due to pjc21's efforts -- I run whatever version comes out first. As long as you do not clean the caches and reboot, there's no speed difference except for placebo.

CROMi will make the device what it is supposed to be. Had mine for 6 months before taking the leap and I wish I had not waited so long, especially given I have extended coverage through best buy, thus making a bricked device covered via insurance. On that note, it may be worth it to look into some type of supplemental coverage for a safety net in case (heaven forbid) something does happen. However, should you choose not to, I have been researching this stuff and reading up on the thread daily (and almost everything on the 3.x thread) for the last 2 months and I have just recently for the first time seen a post about someone possibly bricking their device. Im pretty sure it was because they did not have the right version of TWRP. This speaks milestones to the quality of dev that SDBags (CROMi dev) is. The ROM is stable and fast, and if you follow his instructions vigilantly, you will most likely unlock the true potential of the TF700 and be even happier. Good luck!
Edit: As far as Kernels go, I have seen mixed things about Hunds, if I were you I would go with the stock based kernel by _that2 (as in version 2) and run that for a few days before you decide if you wanna make any kernel tweaks. His is the most stable. Afterwards, you can dirty flash over if you want to switch kernels, just wipe dalvik and cache (not factory reset) when done.
And stick with the stock launcher

There is no need to wipe anything when changing kernels, it's just wasted time.
