I used SuperBackup from market to backup my sms, contacts and call logs.
Because i installed ThiaiZ O3D, i had to delete everything. I re-installed SuperBackup and it dosent seem to be restoring. Does anyone know whats happening?

If you 'delete everything' and the default backup location of SuperBackup is in /sdcard, the backup will most likely be deleted because /sdcard is where the system files are. You should backup the files into /sdcard/_ExternalSD. I doubt there's anything you can do if my guess is correct, but you could try looking into the directories on your phone to see if the backup files are still there.

I received a picture in a text message the other day and didn't save it to my sd card, my bad. I have since did a nandroid backup and wiped data and cache and flashed a new rom. I restored my messages with sms backup+ but the picture didn't get restored. I used Root Explorer to try and find the pic with no luck.
My question is, if I restore the nandroid backup I made, will I find the picture in there?
Might be in the folder named messaging on your sdcard? I've found many pictures left over in that folder that I thought I deleted!

Reason is, that backs-up and restore SMS, not MMS Yes, there's a difference.
If you did a nandroid restore, it should have restored EVERYTHING. In fact, you shouldn't even have had to restore your SMS using another tool, they should have already been there.
I didn't restore with the nandroid backup yet, wanted to make sure it was going to be there before I went through that process.
I'm going to hunt for the messaging folder now to see if it may still be there.
I don't believe pictures are downloaded from MMS until you tell them (or save them).
I have taken a backup of all my apps and data on Revolver ROM using TB, saved it on my MicroSD. Flashed Megatron , installed TB and tried restoring the apps but TB still doesn't pick them up.
I did point to the right backup folder in Preferences, but still to no avail. Flashed back Revolver and tried restoring again, but same issues. Copied the TB backup folder from the MicroSD to the TF internal SD, changed the backup folder location again in Preferences, but still TB doesn't pick up the apps and restore them.
Anyone else facing the same issues ? Need help here. Thanks
Maybe the rom you were coming from stored the apks differently like odexed or some nonsense and now megatron can't see them? Idk I'd wish I could help... bumb to find the answer
hey guys i recently rooted my phone and one of the steps included me making a backup of my data. the root resulted in me losing all my contacts info and the app i used (Superbackup) did not save any of my contacts. i was wondering if there was a way i can access my backup file in order to retrieve my contacts or if there was any other method of restoring old contacts after a factory reset?

select backup
hey it wont let me select my backup? do i need to set up the path for my backup (located on my sd card)?
Did you make a nand backup through CWM or TWRP? or did you use Superbackup to make your backup? If you made a nand you can use TB to retrieve contacts from it.
Now that I'm reading this again it seems like you didn't back up all of your phone only used superbackup. I this case unless superbackup can restore your contacts I'd have to say your starting fresh.
Unless maybe you used kies to back them up or have a copy on your sim card.

Never heard of super backup. Use titanium backup and dig through your backup and pull out the contacts.

backup
hey guys thanks for all the help TB restored all my contacts
thanks everyone
md5 is just some kinds of verification code for the files. You should look under data or something. Either titanium backup or appextractor should work.

hi everyone, I'm wondering how I can make sms backups on titanium backup with the hangout app. I backed up hangouts, and dialer storage or whatever it's called, and nothing worked still. I deleted a thread, and it didn't restore even after a reboot and a cache clear. any help? Thanks!
Has anyone had the problem where when you restore your apps and data using Titanium Backup the notifications dont come through? It seems like when I do a restore of my apps I dont get notifications anymore. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall it.

If you're talking about system apps, they shouldn't be backed up / restored. It can be done, but you shouldn't restore data, and it can still be problematic.

Whoops should have stated user apps. I never backup system apps. I only use the Titanium ones for things like bluetooth, wifi, messages.
