hi guys,
I am so pissed at HTC about the screen resolution and colors on my MDA II. I think we all have the same problem. Does anyone know how to contact HTC to ask for help, or some fix or upgrade?
We should do something about that!
Does anybody have a solution, of how to change that screen colors? it's worse than my xda I.
HTC-guys, i'm really disappointed at you guys...
Ive never found my XDA2's screen to be of poor quality, its much better than all my previous colour screen devices, including the SE P900's which was a nice screen.
People moan how some images have patches of what look like mono colour, or a colour thats been used to fill in the space. That is because the screen is only 65k, the colour of the image is higher than what the XDA2 can reproduce. All 65k screen phones and PDA's have the same problem. Wait until PDA's have 16.8 million colours, then you'll be happier !
Maby you have a faulty unit, my screen is one of the best I've seen so far... much better then any other mobile I've seen todate. Maby you should try and get a replacment unit or get a new screen installed through warranty...
Hope you get your issue sorted out..
The XDA has a reflective screen while the XDA II has a transflective screen which is much brighter and looks better. The backlight of the XDA is actually on the side of the screen while the backlight of the XDA II is really at the back. This makes the XDA II screen brighter. The colors on an XDA will not exactly match the colors on an XDA II simply because the XDA II has a brighter screen. I've had two Pocket PCs with reflective screens before I got my XDA II. The XDA II screen definitely looks better.
it's not the brightness that i'm talking about. of course it's brighter than the xda I. it's just i compare to my ipaq 4150 and i see a huge difference. the colors are so much darker on my device. it's got to do something with the contrast maybe. i read on this forum that the himalaya units don't use their full capacities when it comes to the screen. there must be something to change, right?
now what??
resolution or colours ?
because i never heard anybody complain about the res before
Maybe you should compare your XDA II with another XDA II. Your unit might have a defective screen.
screen
i have had pocket pc`s since they have come out included are all the ipaq range from 3600 to my present one the ipaq 3970 which i still have i find the screen on my xda2 much better than my ipaq 3970
i think that the xda2 screen is a bit better then xda1 but imho it's fare from 16bit quality of my other lcd displays
Hi guys.Yesterday one of my friends observed a difference between my desire s and his desire s.
I'll tell you the difference between my and his phone (strange that mine is made in china and his is in Taiwan....why?!?!):
Audio jack is lower and smaller.
My front camera has a bigger and larger opening.
Front speaker has a bigger covering.
All my buttons are more protruding.
SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH!
P.S. My DS is original(i bought it from vodafone).
As far as i know there is only 1 model
perhaps you could upload some pictures?
i guess these are small variations that exist in the same model made in different places. One of you may have gotten the device from some other country, or it may have been imported to the store. The model is the same, the differences you mention are no reason to worry
i have a weird question.
assuming i know perfectly how to change and replace the phone's screen and price isn't a factor, is there a way to get same ratio and resolution 4.3" regular RGB instead of the pentile for the one s, and connect it to the phone?

Long answer: Dont think such a display exists, i mean sure for other phones maybe but many things would have to match even if you disregard physical size and shape, like connectors and assorted chippery. You would want an SAMOLED+ I guess since most of the time whether the digitizer is integrated in the display or front glass differs between AMOLEDs and LCDs thus you need AMOLED to make it work and SAMOLED+ specifically to get RGB subpixel layout. Dont know of a phone with a 4.3" SAMOLED+...
Short answer: Sadly no, learn to love the AMOLED
Literal answer: Sure if price is not a factor then have one made for you by Samsung/LG/Sharp
Anecdotal evidence: The Desire was first made with a Samsung AMOLED panel, then they switched to a Sony LCD panel because of AMOLED shortages. The displays had different connectors and IIRC correctly from when replacing my AMOLED the LCD one would not have fit. Check Ebay for pictures of both... and this was before they started integrating the digitizer in AMOLEDs so one less thing to worry about even.
Hi guys! My xperia z3 after 2 months of using, the screen become a bit warmer comparing to my friends xperia z3 and his display seems better to me . The screen takes also a bit time to procces the black colors. i did a frimware re.-instaling and im still facing thes problems. My white balance setting is on 0 and x-reality and vivid settings are off. My question is what is the problem with the phone? do anyone facing same problem?
same issue
I'm hoping to fix this on my z3. actually, with my z3 I'm just noticing a horizontal yellow stripe about an eighth of an inch up from the bottom of my screen.
Guys, your screen issues can't be fixed via software. Go and get a replacement or get it repaired.
Hi recently i change my Display in S6 because original display broken.:crying: 2nd screen now i have is not like original one. some color problem. repairer said this is a super amoled display. but i can feel the difference. can some one tell me how to calibrate or adjust my display like my original one.
Coz its not amoled from samsung. Just a replacement part or clone.
