Hi,
I just noticed, that when you swipe with three fingers from left to right or bottom to top the setup for media link hd app will be launched.
Has anyone else noticed that? And, even more interesting, is there any chance to launch custom app with these gestures?
Don
If I have that option turned on then Input Benchmark registers only two simultaneous fingers whereas if I turn it off it suddenly registers 5 simulaneous fingers.

well....it's to set up the media link....it's meant to do that....you didn't know about it before you bought it? it's not like a hidden secret thing or anything
once you set it up, you just do the same and it mirrors to your tv half a second later
How do you set it up? Do you need wifi on your tv for it? Looks like a cool feature but haven't really read anything about it yet.

All you need is this device (and a TV with HDMI, obviously).
Is there anyway to "emulate" that device on a PC?
Like XMBC or VLC accepting this stream?
Bump for question ^

zMooth works on rooted Droid's with rooted android 2.2+.
zMooth lets you use gestures to mimic your device's hardware keys (back, home, menu and power(in Pro)), you will be able to use very intuitive gestures to navigate your device.
zMooth is unobtrusive and uses minimum amount of screen space but very easy and intuitive to use. If you use for couple of days you won't even think about using the buttons.
After you install the app you will see a blue area at the bottom of the screen, swipe left on this area to go back, swipe right for menu, gesture a up-arrow(^) for home and gesture a lightning strike/thunderbolt to power off. Please check the screen shots and video for more info.

Support is built-in to the app, "Preferences->Help" will resolve most issues. If not resolved just contact me through "Preferences->Help->Contact Support" and I will be happy to resolve any issues.
Thanks.

This is a great app! Sometimes it has trouble picking up back and search, but that's only because it will only pick up gestures to a certain degree of crapyness.

Thanks for feedback, updated OP with info.
Still using this and just bought the pro version so I.could.customize more. Now to get my button lights to stay off.
EDIT: Really like the turn screen off with the paid version. Don't have to use any of the hard buttons anymore, I don't use the search except when in stock recovery.

I'm using this app since the first versions and now I can't live without it!
I have just installed in my galaxy tab and it runs like a charm!
Five stars in the market!
Thanks!
For me, a perfect solution (after trying Button Savior and Softkeys). I came from the Incredible, and quickly learned to dislike the hardware buttons of the DroidX.
Zmooth solves the problem and really speeds up operations. Stable and configurable, too.
I was browsing the forums and I came across this thread and the software is awesome. You can lock any app you want!

I had an issue with the same thing and this seemed to fix it:
The most accurate recognition will be achieved when all the training images are taken directly from front (i.e. no profile images etc.). Also, you should take training images in different illuminations (in those environments where you usually use your mobile). Sufficient amount of images per person is about 5 to 10.
give it a shot and see if it changes!

It doesn't seem to work on a rooted Evo. Every App I lock goes to the face program then the app starts anyway.
been using this all day here and i must say im impressed. now i just need this to work with the "stock" lock screen (take the place of a pin pass or pattern). that would be amazing.

Im rooted running synergy rc1 and it works fine. Try wiping the app data and uninstall and then do a fresh install and see if that helps.

I was thinking the same thing! That would be a kick ass feature.
I am running the latest MIUI and this works fine. Awesome application. My only complaint is that on MIUI you can drag applications to the top of the screen for an uninstall. If you do that with the app, it will remove it and then you can access whatever you want on the phone. Obviously nobody is going to really know that they can do that unless they are familiar with MIUI, but still something to nag about.
Awesome application.

Same here so what I did was place it in a folder and selected the HIDE APPLICATION option that way it cannot be found
That's what I ended up doing as well. Worked really well since you can't delete the folder with something in it, but you can't find what's in it.
Also, I found that if you hit the home key while the app is loading, it cancels the protection out.
Say you have it protecting messages. You click on messages and while the screen is blank for a second or two (The camera security is loading), hit the home key. Now open messages again and it doesn't lock you out.
Just me or others too?

Hello I was wondering if anyone knows of a mod or an app to swipe your fingers across the screen to change apps (like on the ipad 2). Not asking to be flamed or anything just trying to maximize my user experience on my asus transformer. The way in which the ipad 2 switches back and forth between apps by swiping seems a bit more seamless than having the click the button the bottom left and selecting an app every time. Thanks for your help.
Download an app called SwipePad,it is free from the android market, you will like it

While this question is not directly related to Nexus 5, but since it is one of the few devices running KitKat, I'm posting it here. Its been more than a month since KitKat has launched, but even today the "immersive mode" (which I feel is SO important!) has not been translated to many apps that I use regularly -- Kindle, Pocket, Feedly etc. Its not like these apps haven't updated in the last month or so (they have). Is there any reason why these companies have not considered putting immersive mode as a priority item?
Stability is always the priority. Ask the developers of each app if they plan to support it. We don't know the answer in that, we cannot read minds

There is an Xposed module on these forums somewhere, that enables immersive mode everywhere. It has a few flaws though, as some apps just don't work right with it, or once the navigation bar pops back up, it cuts off the portion of the screen.
However the ones that did work with it, it worker great. It would be nice for someone to make an app or tweak to force selected apps into immersive mode, while allowing the navigation bar to stay where needed.

I still use expanded desktop + PIE controls. I think it works better than immersive mode. I turn it on when gaming.
I used the "Immerse me" xposed module, but it had some issues. Fore example in the AOSP messaging app, when the keyboard popped up, the last message received appeared inbetween the keyboard and where I was typing the message, but only partly. part was behind where I typed teh message. I found that disorientating. Also in tapatalk, which I use a lot - when the keyboard came up, teh top of tapatalk (the tapatalk toolbar) disappeared and I couldn't scroll. Really tricky to use with Pie as I had to keep backing out of the keyboard to do things within tapatalk when typing messages.

Could you elaborate on this? A quick play store search couldn't find expanded desktop, but I found something called pie control.

Hey man thanks for this! This is pretty much what I've been wanting. Now I can use the full resolution of my nexus 5! Great for streaming my PC games. Woohoo!
Would still be nice to have some sort of way to choose what apps go full screen, cuz it would just be easier to already have the nav bar for apps that are better suited for it, then go away on ones you want full screen for, but this is still a lot better than the immersive module for xposed. Thanks again.

Hey no prob, happy to help. It kinda breathes new life into the phone, doesn't it? This mod saved my N5 from being tossed in a drawer. I use it more than my Moto X now, just because of gaming on its 5" screen.
Is it just me or can I not customize the order I want my apps in on the smartwatch 2? I press the menu button and the only options are alphabetical and frequency used. Is anyone else having this issue or am I just missing something?
Thanks!

Only thing you can do is use Frequency, and keep tap the app you want to order and the home button. You can also tap it when watch not connected to phone.
Yeah, this seems one of the strangest missing features IMO. I don't see why you can't simply re-order them in the Smart Connect app, either - would that be so hard? Either way, the favorites thing is not so bad until the watch goes and forgets the order you had them in, which can be mighty annoying. It's happened to me only once so far but, like aseeme555076 says you can sort of force it to order them how you want.
sw2 extension: "This is the official Sony application for SmartWatch 2 SW2. It enables you to utilize all the powerful Android benefits of this innovative smartphone accessory*. With this app, you can decide how your smartphone interacts with SmartWatch 2, what app extensions are available for your watch and how they are arranged. "
I tried several times to arrange them, "click and drag" but it was impossible, they didn't move
Anyway, I miss this feature. It would be great to put them in a certain order. I wonder why Sony didn't make it possible to arrange them from the phone in sw2 extension app.
