Anyone else getting Tapatalk force force close, while trying to read some received Personal Messages? The PMs in question, seems to be the most recent.. But not always.
I'm not sure if this is related to any other app changes?

Thanks, but didn't work. I can read some pm, but when I try to open some.. Tapatalk app & same with XDA premium f.c. AND it's the same pm in both that cause the f.c.

I had the same problem using the xda premium app just a few days ago, actually its what made me go to tap talk. I never could figure out what it was.

It only started a couple of days ago for me.. And it's not all pm (just can't type PMS... Doh), just some.. I find that it's the same pm on both tapatalk & xda premium. At first I thought that it may happen chronologically.. So being of that "older generation" I sent myself one.. No problem opening it, but still had the problem opening those (most likely in VIOLATION of the Terms of Use, in xda ) that I was never able to open?

Yes tapatalk fc's pm's on xda. It only happens on the xda forum, though. It doesn't always happen but it happens a lot. The other forums all work fine, it's only xda for me.

Yeah... Getting too old for change.
Don't know about you, but I find it's a bit more difficult to scan for the threads that have new posts.. Maybe if you could substitute the white for some other colours?

I hear you, but the new threads being highlighted feature doesn't even work correctly most of the time anyways. New ones wont be highlighted, or ones I've already read are still highlighted a lot of the time. So that doesn't even work right to begin with. And you just missed it, right after 2.0 upgraded the unread ones were highlighted orange, and a day later they updated tapatalk again and replaced the orange highlight back to the original white.

Nothing, I just don't like it. It's thicker than you'd think, impossible to get off and from the front it looks like it's only half a case. Other people seem to like them, I am just very picky when it comes to cases. And I buy a TON of them and never use them. Hence why I'm doing these giveaways. Gonna do the next one this weekend, and then maybe one a week for the next couple months till they are all gone lol. Every case I'm giving away is brand new and has only been on my phone once, for no more than 5 minutes.
Here's hoping I can win one. Not able to buy one myself, it's a long story involving a back injury...

Ditto, the only problem I have is most cases are black so they don't look good on a white phone Imo. But honestly I'm sure 99 percent of people use some sort of a case so in the end it really isn't a huge deal.

If you check the international GSIII Accessories forums, people have threads about cases and often times the white phones have very nice cases. I actually have seen since nice combos there.

so I figured this little trick out by accident actually. while it's pretty useful to know, I'd suggest not using it unless you really need to. basically don't abuse it or it'll get 'patched' (for lack of a better word).
STEP 1
have AT&T give you a new SIM card.
* going into any AT&T store and saying you're having signal issues will get you in and out the door with a new SIM in 5 minutes, free of charge.
STEP 2
you're all done.
* if you want to check to see that it worked, open your dialer, press *3282# (*DATA#) and hit call. in a free seconds you'll receive a free text message from AT&T updating you on your data usage. you'll see two lines, one of which will read (DEACTIVATED), and your data will be back at 0/3GB (*screenshot related)
anyways, try not to abuse this. it should really only be a last resort thing. so only use it if you really need it!

Notice how it states your data twice but only once is deactivated...nowhere does it say 0mb used out of whatever...your current data usage is about 2900 mb, don't go over!!!!

Well I apologize, I just found it hard to believe you used that much data so quickly...based off me assuming you only did this recently. Of course its entirely possible to use that much data fast -one hd movie will put you close to there....but it was just so close to the other one I assumed it was never reset...really should take my moms advice on never assuming things as half the times when you assume you end up being wrong

As for the topic at hand, don't you think it's a little devious to have your data reset like that? In the long term its gonna create more bothersome questions for the rest of us down the road when we do have realm SIM issues
So today I heard that ppl were able to upgrade and keep unlimited data thru vzw. So I tried it, considering I have three lines with unlimited and due for an upgrade. I was able to upgrade my wife's line to 5s ( yeah I know iPhone) and ordered myself a s4. and got confirmation. Emails that confirm that unlimited date was included

Yes, I just did it this morning. I have 4 lines with unlimited and talk n text $20 dollar discount. 3 of the lines I upgraded before unlimited ended to GS3.
The fourth line was on an iPhone 4S and due for an upgrade. Got the iphone 5s and everything seems to indicate that its still the unlimited and my discount will be retained.
From what I've read online, some people were able to do store pickups and their receipt did show unlimited being retained. Only problem for us is that the 5S doesn't ship for quite some time and verizon can always end up cancelling.

Saw an article on droidlife about it. It could be worth a gamble. But they might take it away. Either way, good luck.

They said if I put my order through Id end up with 2gb or something like that.
Im sure you dont want this to happen to you. So thts why I suggested you contact them to make sure you can retain. Id be pissed to lose it on a technicality like this.

There was no way they were going to continue unlimited data at this point. I upgraded two summers ago and kept it, but I believe they only offered that because so many people grumbled.
I switched from a family to a single user plan shortly after renewing and they cut my contract in half without me prompting them. I went from two years to one and kept the same monthly price. They're trying to get rid of unlimited data as fast as they can. I'm grabbing a nexus 5 and switching to t mobile this December when my year is up. Verizon's service isn't as great as it's cracked up to be.

Your much better off searching yourself for the features you want. Your posting this question on a Verizon S3 forum post, where most users browsing it are S3 users and most users don't have a lot of experience with other devices.

Thanks for your response. I currently have the S3. So many choices can't make up my mind.
Well just got the S4, will try it out for the next two weeks.
But have been looking into the LG G2 < any thoughts

did you know SwiftKey has a beta with a number row on top? It's about time it's so much better than AOSP keyboard. Here's the link.

Yep been using it for a few weeks. It was the only thing I didn't like about SwiftKey. Now it really is about as perfect a keyboard you can get

Now if only they would implement this into the full version I'd be a happy camper, although I am use to being able to have it on the left/right side now.

.......... I believe this is a newer version then we tried before Shapes, it was released on the 14th. Didn't you have an issue with the last beta? or am I wrong?

Yea your right. I didn't like the fact that things were left out of both but I want back to the full version and occasionally see what beta has to offer

They put out a 2nd beta I believe. This newest 1. The spell check or word predict is terrible. Been using it for weeks and words I use 2 to 3 times in every sentence it doesn't get right... lol. Plus the pink trail on pitch black is just awful. I guess every kb has it's downsides. It is a solid kb though... :thumbup:

Wen installing it said my trial period ended wierd so i ignore it and still let me set it up maybe thats y i didn't see a difference it didn't installed properly

The beta versions typically have a trial period where they are only good until a certain time. They are always putting out new ones

I had that too but found a place in settings to turn it on.

I browsed the settings and couldn't find it or I had it checked and it still wasn't working. Which setting was it? And were you able to get flow to work as well. On a side note, after enabling flow trying to get it to work,I finally noticed the warning/reminder that said swipe back to delete would not work. Guess I missed that when I used swiftkey previously

I can't find the setting now either but I think maybe it turned on when I hit the emoji prediction.

I can't seem to find it either. I looked under settings, advanced settings, text correction since that is where the emoji predictions setting is. But it doesn't matter which way you set that. Best hunt down the web site...

This is from the swift key thread.
"Had the same issue.. Galaxy s4 however I in installed the beta version and reinstalled from a link tapper posted in this thread and it now works.. All predictions are back as well as swipe and all updated emoji."
