change it closer to 240, since 240 is where its supposed to be. otherwise, youll get that.

Is that the only way to fix it?
I just hate how big everything looks in 240 dpi

The camera don't work at 180, I use 182 and it work fine

Thanks a lot. Haden't this idea so far.

200 dpi works fine
I've been running my Tab at 200dpi for the last month, and so far, no problems at all.
Through a bit of experimenting, I've found that 40 dpi jumps usually work fine. So, 160 dpi, 200 dpi, 240 dpi and 280 dpi all work fine. Anything in between usually breaks some app or other.
I'm running at 200 as well. Most apps work fine, some games don't fill up the screen but that's generally the exception.
182 is max res for cam

Try changing ure density in build.prob rather then using software..
i run 180 with no issues.
Running 220 here, change via build.prop. Camera works fine.

I always edit build.prop to change the density, and with <182 the camera don't work.
Can you try the camera with 180, and if it work can you tell us what kernel/rom are you using?
Sent from my GT-P1000
Has anyone tried a lower density via the build.prop method? I'm aiming for 160-170. I'm using LCD Density Changer app to save settings

Whats the right lcd dencity on lg g2x?

I been using 192 with some app on the market but it was too small on that density. Then i tried 240 and it was to big.
So, whats the best density to choose.
And after that market kept saying in the updates that its not compatible with my device..
Its the density has todo with that??
240 is the regular screen size I believe.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
you believe correctly, it is 240
Edit: forgot to mention to try 220 if 240 is to big. Everything works if someone knows certain apps that wont update, please tell.
Ok yall i would try that.
Sent from my LG-P999
Tell me what you think. I just switched to 220 to see how it is also. Don't really mess around with it much but I think im going to keep it this way.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I iust change it to 220. It looks like the same density as 240.
Have tried any other?
Sent from my LG-P999
I tried manually, some apps just don't
work.
Sent from my LG-P999
I think i would stick to 210, it seems that between default and high ..

Are u sure it didn't change anything? It looks completely different for me. How did u switch density, app or build prob? I used build prob.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
you are better off keeping the density at 240. When you change it, the market will not let you download certain apps because it changes the screen resolution to a tablet type res. It is a bug with the market.

Go to 200. There's an app called font changer that also allows you to conveniently change the screen density, it's what I use.

I had my density at 215 for a while and last month i tried redownloading facebook and a few other apps and it said not compatible with device. It is quite annoying, google responded to users complaining about the issue and they basically said that we shouldnt be altering our phones. Oh well....

How do i make text font smaller

that way when i screenshot it will get the whole text convo.
how do i make the text font smaller?
For the love of God, don't set the dpi to 160 using LCD density modder whatever you do.

Why?
OP: Not sure, some ROMs like CM9 have options for font size under "Settings > System > Font size", maybe yours does too?
Cause I've semi-bricked my phone.apk
Yea I have had trouble with changing dpi from LCD density modder too. I only use that for the market fix.
I change dpi to 180-200 by editing build.prop on root explorer.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but try downloading go sms pro. You can change the font size.
Also you could try to change it to a thread view instead of bubbles to fit more.

Problem with reviews box on play store

Recently I started to have this small annoyance where the reviews box that opens when you click on a review in play store is very small in width.
I'm not sure when it started, i suppose after 5.1/5.1.1 but not sure, I never had this before.
I'm using latest temasek with slim gapps and 320dpi.
Screen attached. Solutions?

Try setting it between 360-480 range, your issue will be resolved for sure.
420 is what I am using currently

I'll try that, however I wish there was a fix for this since i really like having 320.

What DPI are you guys using?

Just curious what DPI are you guys using? I changed Minimum Width to 475 (Default is 411 I guess) and while I like the size...it's not consistent across the system..some notifications comes with bigger font size and some with small font size...
I'm using 496, according to the phone's real density of pixel showed in GSMarena's website.
587 i like my screen small and crisp.
Using 512

OneUI screws many things if you change DPI....I came from Oneplus phones and they didn't have any of the issues when I change DPI
So I changed it to 496.... everything is allot smaller, but still readable.... and wow is it crisp..... Google Earth in 3D is allot crisper too..... I like this allot better than the default of 411.
587? really, I need to see what that looks like.... that must be really tiny.
Does changing DPI to 496 mess up the 120hz refresh rate?
