There are some:
Look under the themes section.. there is a guy who makes them bit he'll need ur ROM to set it up correctly.

nOOB questions for someone new to rooting/roms/etc

so. the other night, i got alot of help from teh roxxorz...and im now successfully running 2.3 gingerbread on CM7. only 2 things i have to do is get the radio update previous to the current one, and flash it...as well as go back to version 1.5.2. of facebook.
im computer smart, but rooting/rom flashing stupid atm lol...soon to change.
questions:
1. how often do CM7 updates come out?
2. are there more stable, 100% undoable, ROMs out there that are better than CM7? if so what are they and are the steps the same as unrevoked3+CM7 flashing?
3. whats the best app launcher? or app launchers? also how to install em.
4. as far as themes go, should i venture out and try to create my own using templates (giving credit to the one(s) who created the template ofc)...or download ones off the forums? And of those ones (such as those here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948109 ) are they all cut n dry as far as puttin em on the Evo? or no?
I didnt kno where to put this particular thread since it encompasses a multitude of areas, so i apologize if it needs moved.
thanks.

[Q] Gingerbread look

Can we get a rom or theme that has a Gingerbread status bar (bars/WiFi bars/battery icon etc.) and similarly themed drop down panel?
I see tons of roms but they're either tacky or stock. The theme in the theme/apps section doesn't work with the T-Mobile USA Sensation 4G stock rom and the dev is completely uninterested in fixing the issue nor does he want to outline that flashing it will get you a soft brick because of the quick settings mods.
So, I'm wondering if a dev is nice enough to take the time out to offer a theme or rom with a GB look that works with the T-Mobile USA rom for the Sensation 4G.
You should just have to flash a Sense ROM and then replace the battery & 3G/4G icons with the green stock gingerbread ones

[Q] Drop-down menu widgets?

Hey guys. I switched from my slow, glitchy, and just aging captivate to the nexus S a few days ago, and I love it.
There are a couple things I miss though - the big one being the quick setting widgets in the drop down menu. I don't care if it's an app/widget from the market, or something I have to flash in to the rom. I just want those settings up there.
Is there a way to add those without flashing another rom? I like stock gingerbread (and I'll be switching to ICS when it comes out OTA for 9020A) and I don't want to flash a custom rom like CM or something. I'm rooted, but other than that I'm stock 2.3.6.
Other things I miss are a predictive dialer, and swype. If you can help me out there too I'd be greatly appreciative!
Edit: Oh, and the music controls shown in the menu would be nice too! (but only if it will work for google music)
When I moved to the NS from a Vibrant I felt the same way. There is no way to do it without some modding and I don't remember ever seeing a simple flashable zip to add it to GB. I ended up having a love hate relationship with CM7 but have moved to ICS and there is a mod to add it to some ICS roms in the dev section. I have yet to bother adding it.
Anyway, yes it can be done but not without some flashing or modding but if you aren't wanting to do that you are out of luck.
You can get similar functionality to pics with widget locker or extended controls, you get an icon or space in the status bar though. GB doesn't support it.
Music widget as above is available in stock ics too.

I really like stock, but I can flash if I *have* to... I've had a love hate relationship with CM myself, I felt like it took a little too much effort to keep up and running.. With the Google apps packs, and the nighties and constant backing up and flashing, you know. Is CM up to ICS for the Nexus S 9020a yet?
I also recently came from the captivate. I was also determined to stay stock and wait for the ics ota but....
The development for the ns is light years ahead of what you and I were used to and i am impressed after flashing a pretty much stock ics rom with a custom kernel. No toggles in the drop down but it sure is nice having everything working like it should. Fast and smooth! Peter Alphonso's ics

[Q] Whats the best ROM for i9020T

Dear friends,
I have Nexus S on t-mobile ICS 4.0.4, i would like to know which one is the best of best room for my phone.
I want a rom that i can count on and theme.
i have found two of theme here on site..
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1483033
2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1425344
Which one can i use for my t-mobile i9020t
Well, everyone will like a different ROM. This is mostly a personal question and you will have to test a few before you decide which one you like more.
Bedalus benchmarks might tip the scale:

Now, if you ask me, I really like MIUIXperience since it offers nice theming over MIUI (loving Xperia launcher and other stuff). Haven't had any problems with it (except for some known bugs that the DEV is working on).
koush isnt making roms, not for the nexus s at least. you probably meant cm9, which is not koushes work. plus there are many more roms out in the dev section, some are more popular than the roms that you listed.
Where is Bugless Beast on poll!?
Like stated previously, it is all completely up to you. Just try them all until you find the one you like
I'll tell you about my experiences though with CyberGR v10 (previous ROM) and Bugless Beast (current ROM):
CyberGR was great but there were too may mods I didn't personally need. Also, different applications would lag at times like email, facebook, or even the T9 dialer (sometimes it would up to 5 seconds to pull up my dialer and contacts which was ultra annoying). I tried many different kernels and overclocking options but it still lagged or even rebooted. Thus I decided to change.
I switched to Bugless Beast and I am very happy with it as my daily driver. It is very simple mod and close to stock ICS and I just applied my own additional modifications to suit my needs like the kernel change to support BLN, BLD, and voodoo. This ROM is very snappy, has a great battery life, and everything works as far as I know even with my modifications.
May I ask, how do you edit the image files of a custom rom to remove few applications and change the language files

explain modems to me plz!

So I just got my s5 coming from a s3. From the very first week i got my s3 I installed an aosp rom and kept aosp till two days ago... never really heard any "modem" talk on that side of the forum. Now that I got an s5 and aosp roms are not really an option (I have a kid and need a working camera). Im looking at TW roms but all this modem talk is confusing me... also odex and deodex?? What?? Ima root soon so plz help out a newb! Thx
Modem is one part of android that controls the in and out signals from mobile networks, and switching of different types of mobile signals. MOAR is awesome TW ROM. Deodexed is basically a rom where apps are made easier to modify and theme by changing the way the java code is read. Odexed would be a totally stock Rom that's supposed to load faster and run smoother, which in my experience even on deodexed, after 1st few power cycles, runs and loads about the same.
