Hi, Hope someone can help.
Sorry if this is covered in another thread - I tried to search and failed.
My HTC Touch Cruise seems to have lost the HTC Today Plug-in.
Where does WM6 store the plugins? I just want to restore the original one that came with the phone. It seems to have been broken when I restored a Sprite Backup.
Do I just need a specific file?
All I've found is freeware links to replacements, but i'd rather avoid any more 3rd party software breaking my phone..
Thanks in advance.
David
Go to Start > Settings > Personal > Today > Items > HTC Home. It should be there and unchecked, just check it and it will (should) be back.
How to Restore HTC Today Plugin
Umm. Sorry - I do know how to make things appear on today if they're available. That's my problem - the plugin is not there in the list.
As it happens I went and got a 3rd party version with extra features, so the problem's sorted, but I'd still like to know what file it was that I had to restore.
Thanks
David
Hi guys, I'm hoping one of you can help me before I go mad. I am new to Android (I'm running the HTC Desire Android build on my HTC HD2) and I remember selecting an option (can't remember if it was in an application or the phone settings) that said Remove Application from Marketplace when unistalled (or words to that effect). Anyway, I buggered if I can find it again because I want to leave these apps in MyApps list. Can someone tell me where I can get to this setting
Many thanks in advance for any help guys
Hey Guys,
Has anyone managed to figure out how to get Google Maps to be the default navigation tool on the Sensation?
It seems that HTC are forcing people to use their own navigation tool.
E.g.:
In the calendar, if you have a location in an event, you click to navigate, and it opens up the HTC app.
There does not seem to be any way of changing it. Has anyone figured this one out?
From HTC themselves:

Thank you for the reply. I have done further research regarding the issue, HTC navigation is the only application which is linked automatically to the Locations. Google Maps is an independant mapping application on the HTC Sensation.

Bah, just noticed that there's another thread with the same issue. Couldn't find it in my failsearch. Please delete thread
In the good ol' days of my WinMO HD2, a small app was created by a helpful XDA-er to make it possible to add locations (such as mine) that apparently 'don't exist' when trying to add them to the stock weather widget. I seem to be having the same problem with my new Sensation - apparently 'Kettering' in the UK doesn't exist. The weather app finds it when I'm *in* Ketteirng by using GPS, but I can't seem to add it as a location when I'm elsewhere
Anyone know if there's an app, or a fix, that will allow me to add my home town?>
Thanks guys
I think it requires root to edit the database
Think I'll bump this, seeing as we now have root!
I'd love to add other places too...any solutions anyone?

Weather Database
Thanks for the links.
Actually my phone isn't rooted - so I guess I'm stuck until I've done this
Hi everybody,
Trying to apply a modified update in my desire 500, something went wrong and now, my city list is totally empty.
This affects actually the weather & the clock application.
By empty, I mean that I try to add a city, but there aren't any. I believe that somehow, the related database was corrupted. I searched other forums for this, tried many different ways to restore or to find the db and somehow fix it, but no luck. Can somebody assist ?
Thanks.
