Hi guys, I'm hoping one of you can help me before I go mad. I am new to Android (I'm running the HTC Desire Android build on my HTC HD2) and I remember selecting an option (can't remember if it was in an application or the phone settings) that said Remove Application from Marketplace when unistalled (or words to that effect). Anyway, I buggered if I can find it again because I want to leave these apps in MyApps list. Can someone tell me where I can get to this setting

Hi, Hope someone can help.
Sorry if this is covered in another thread - I tried to search and failed.
My HTC Touch Cruise seems to have lost the HTC Today Plug-in.
Where does WM6 store the plugins? I just want to restore the original one that came with the phone. It seems to have been broken when I restored a Sprite Backup.
Do I just need a specific file?
All I've found is freeware links to replacements, but i'd rather avoid any more 3rd party software breaking my phone..

Go to Start > Settings > Personal > Today > Items > HTC Home. It should be there and unchecked, just check it and it will (should) be back.
How to Restore HTC Today Plugin
Umm. Sorry - I do know how to make things appear on today if they're available. That's my problem - the plugin is not there in the list.
As it happens I went and got a 3rd party version with extra features, so the problem's sorted, but I'd still like to know what file it was that I had to restore.

I have a stock HTC magic (32a) and have been using the HTC mail app for about 5 months without any probs... until now.
My accounts suddenly disappeared yesterday. I could recreate my hotmail without a problem but exchange was a different story.
When i try to create the account again, the app acts like I'm editing it (all parameters are there in disabled mode). The only actions I've got is save and discard.
To keep a long story short, i've been searching the file system for a config file containing the accounts so i can clear them. After 20mins of Astro'ing , i gave up.
Seeing that you guys include the app into the ROM's, maybe someone here knows where the app keeps it's data?
I really hope someone knows an answer, closest HTC support is gonna get is a wipe...
ps: i tried uninstalling the Mail app but i can't, suppose that's because it's "baked" into the htc ROM.
Did you try Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > HTC Mail > Clear Data?
(I know - Its very obvious - but since you haven't mentioned it in your post, sometimes the obvious is a good place to start)

i recently bought an HTC Wildfire S loaded with android v2.3 (gingerbread). my only issue here is that i am unable to start the GpsSetup2 app which allows one to configure the gps settings in much detail as is the case with Samsung galaxy series.
also i have noticed that gpssetup2 does not work on any htc android phone which i came across.
can someone pls help me find out whats happening here? is there some other code for the HTCs or is it deliberately blocked by htc guys just to prevent fiddling...
ps: i couldnt even find it using the ANYCUT app.

I updated to Mango Final a few days ago but I just realised that a few HTC apps have gone missing from the Marketplace.
Sound Enhancer
Attentive Phone
Connection Setup
HTC Compass
All have gone from the marketplace. I would like to reinstall them but can't find them. Does anyone know what happened to them?
They had some problems on the 1. Gen devices like the musikplayer crashes and so on....
Yeah I hope they resolve the issue...i used all of those before the update and now none of them work...really need the connection setup for my mms to work
I also cant find any that you listed using "HTC Apps" but if i search HTC they start showing up like Compass and Dock Mode which isn't listed if i just hit "HTC Apps".
I was hoping to try Attentive Phone with Mango for i had trouble with it before.
In official Mango Sound Enhancer and Attentive Phone you have in settings not apps list. I think so these applications is not in the market because they are in system (official Mango).

dont look under HTC apps... just use search in marketplace... sound enhancer is pulled... cause crashes...
Many people say they have the sound enhancer built in under settings (also 1st Gen such as Mozart). I uninstalled mine to see if I could install the new version and it has now disappeared. I've tried looking for it every way possible but it's nowhere to be found. I want it back, sound is crap on my Mozart without it! What can I do?!

Hi there, I noticed this app in my downloaded apps section in the system settings. Don't recall downloading it specifically and searched on google and here didnt turn anything up. Can anyone confirm if this is a legit app? Is it the HTC sync that is installed when installing drivers/adb (as part of the rooting process etc)? If thats it then fine, but wanted to check it out as it has access to a lot of information. The app is 1.21Mb in size, whenever I searched it online it only really brings up details about htc sync program for the PC or apk hosting sites which seem a bit dodgy.
Im rooted and s-off'd and running virtuous inquisition rom. Grateful if someone could provide clarification.
