Hopefully HTC will release the source code soon and if we are extra lucky they will release something for the ImageSense chip too!
Been busy lately but I really want to work on this.

xkonni is doing a lot more than me for the moment, but Im hoping to find time to work on it later this week. I figured its better to get all other stuff squared away so that I can sit down and focus on this instead of trying to do everything at once
good news!
i just saw that the kernel sources for the one v are on htcdev.com ready for download ... i guess this means that we shouldn't have to wait too long for the one s kernel sources

maybe but i would not bet on that.
the one v uses the 8255 chipset, for that there are already many devices out while for our msm8960 the one s is the first.
they might keep the source back because of that.
but of course i hope they dont

so you think that htc doesn't want to "help" other manufacturers with their kernel adaptations?
possible but i can't imagine what htc would gain by holding the kernel code back on purpose. actually i think that since the community is always fixing their bugs and issues they can only profit from an early release of the code ... but let's see and hope that you are wrong

BUGS
--Camera is still not working.
--HDMI isn't working like usual
--Wireless tethering isn't an option
--I'm sure you guys will find the rest.
Screenies
Build 39
AOKP Changes
added ability to change host name (settings > dev > device hostname)
added ad-hoc network support
added adb over network
added AOKP stats (you can opt out, Settings > About > AOKP Statistics) www.stats.aokp.co
added bluewall firewall - RC > General UI > Less Notification Sounds
limits the number of notification sounds an app can play per X seconds
so like 1 GTalk ping/30s, but notifications will still be coming in
added "Device options" link in Settings for devices that have an app to tweak device-specific settings
right now I believe only tuna/aries/p1c have these, all credit goes to CM trees where these apps came from
improved weather code, shouldn't bother you everytime it updates weather now
added "copy to clipboard" option in "Share" dialogs throughout ANdroid
added ability to toggle to "new" and "original" music controls on the lockscreen
as always, tons of other device-specific and internal changes, find them all at http://gerrit.sudose...atus:merged,n,z
devices changes
p5: removed OTA assert, shouldn't be any more problems flashing
tuna: fixed vold.fstab file not being added properly, which led to MTP issues, core FCs
tuna: looks like the CM9 kernel was included with this build by mistake (due to the buildbot using inline kernels and some misc testing). It doesn't affect anything, just letting you guys know we know! Enjoy their code
added showcasemtd & mesmerizemtd
ville: YOU MUST WIPE!
misc other device changes -- ask your device maintainer
credit note: we try and preserve all proper authorship on git commits and the like, if you want to know who wrote a feature or where we got it from, check out git or gerrit and just browse through the commits!
Personal Changes

Sorry, haven't read that thread yet. But awesome, this is my favorite ROM currently. ^_^
I can't wait till you guys get Camera working, then I'm gonna use this on my friend's Triumph as his DD (currently using Cm7 G60 style final ). I use AOKP on my GNex and it's the greatest ROM evar IMHO. A lot of those AOKP guys were from the Fascinate kangbang and pool party roms and they were my favorite prior's
Awesome, glad to see this being continued, really like this rom can't wait till I can use it as a daily rom, running cm7 g60 final.mobster tweaked, also a [email protected] rom thanks for the work y'all do

Right now it's one the list of things to fix but no ETA right now. rivs from AF (Android Forums) has been working on it.
Maybe its just me but do anybody else have to activate their phone after flashing AOKP Bulid 39? I flashed back to CM9 and I'm no need to I just though I'll point it out.

Personally haven't flashed it yet. I'll try reproducing it right now.
I've been messing with the nightlies a lot lately. So a few of them are bad (not everything working). Working on a stable build

You this the CM10 situation with our phone function is also not normally use this I have to repair the flashlight function.https://github.com/poppy1/htc-villec2--jellybean
Tested
Rom Tested already.
Working:
Wifi
Phone
GPS
Sensors
Google Now(mic)
Audio(goes away when pickup a call)
Not Working:
Bluetooth
Camera
3G/2G Data
Wifi-HotSpot(I can turn on AP, but PC can´t connect)
Rom is pretty fast. I like it. When Audio and Data connection Works, i will change.
The following bugs were noticed by me:
1. Camera does not work at all, third party apps don't help.
2. Flashlight also does not work.
3. Call audio does not work.
4. Games are laggier than before, also antutu benchmark shows lesser gpu scores than sense based jb roms.
5. Samba server video streaming lags a lot in bs player, sometimes video does not start at all.
6. Usb storage is buggy, disconnects from pc after sometime.
I could not test bluetooth and data so cannot comment. Other than that, I did not notice any bugs and a really lag free and smooth app drawer and rosie experience. Thanks a lot for the hard work you are putting in for bringing us our first aosp rom. Really appreciate it.
Re: [S3] Cyogenmod 10
Any DEV to fix all this bugs?

I think it is time that moderators make us seperate subforum section, I would call it One S C2 android development, and locate it into HTC One S forum section. Now that we have some custom roms and CM develepoment has started, and more and more people want to cooperate, it would only make sense.

Camera needs lots of work in the kernel, which is my current focus. Right now it crashes the board hard.
If people want to help, unless they have development skills, the best course of action right now is to pester HTC to release JB kernel source.
And pester them HARD.
I am well aware of all the bugs, but there are only so many hours in a day.

I am well aware of all the bugs, but there are only so many hours in a day.

Are there any prebuilt kernels for s3 or are you pioneering it all? I got my hands full but I'll do what I can to help

Changelog
Release 4, Tuesday June 24th, 2013
Kernel Updated to version 3.0.83
GPS STILL not working :crying: (will try more things :fingers-crossed
Fixed a rare call audio bug: Thanks Noiphonehere!
Radio Drops for sure gone
Temporary Google Splash Image for Kernel
CM-10.1 Version Updated from RC5 to Stable
Now should include privacy features
Might have fixed earphone buttons
No Longer "ENG" build!!!!
Release 3, Tuesday June 18th, 2013
Kernel Updated to version 3.0.82 (will work on update to 3.9.x over the next few versions)
GPS STILL not working :crying: (will try more things :fingers-crossed
Added Lulzactive, SmartassV2, and OndemandX governors (because noiphone felt like it...)
Hopefully fixed radio (network drop | call drop | multi-text) issue... Still in testing. Again thanks to noiphone.
Switched to releasetools-extensions... This has nothing to do with users, but the install progress in CWM now looks like it's frozen... it's not. This is something useful for sticking to aries.
More under the hood FFC changes.. Just so it's more clean.
Note: Because I needed more debug options, this is an "eng" build, so some settings changes and the screen unlock causes a red border to appear for 1/3rd of a second. It's not a bug. I promise that I won't do this in the next buld :fingers-crossed:
Release 2, Monday June 10th, 2013

New Kernel Config Which is Much More Stable
Fixed Freezy Boot Animation
Device Settings fixed at the cost of giving up all hope for TV Out

Release 1, Thursday June 5th, 2013
Initial Release
FFC preview rotated
Freezy Boot Animation

I'll try this on my old SGS4G and just see how it is. I don't have service any more, but it'll be fun to play with
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
Front facing camera is the wrong way. Pictures come out fine, just the wrong way. Probably also has the CPU bug that m4xman mentioned in his latest post on the CM9 thread. Other than that and GPS, it looks like everything else works. Great job
I will for sure fix FFC in next release

Awesome work! You should provide a link to your sources (I saw them already, but complying to the XDA rules and all).
Great to see a cm10.1 version of Aries already online. Time for the rom porting revival!

OK holy **** this is the fastest slickest ROM I have flashed in at least 2 months. This has blown every 4.1.2 and up ROM the sgs4g has out of the water IMO. If the battery life is even sort of good I'm going to be using this as my daily ROM. Wow team debug just wow was not expecting this. I mean I don't even feel the need to install nova launcher and I always always install nova launcher. ****ing great work guys

I have no problem giving all cash to noiphone, but you can't say that I didn't do anything.
Look at the github page, then you'll know.
In fact, the whole point of our team is noiphone works on kernel, and I work on device, but we can feel free to make changes to each as long as it's good.
We both worked on it evenly.

I didnt say you didnt do anything im saying he ported over aries which is huge that got us up to date in no time. I mean we were workinh with a gb kernel and he came in and gave us latest aries dude deserves the props

Wow man i give u mad props for coming out with an aries build like it was nothing.... yer manifest back up yet
Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk 2
Hypothetically I could, but it doesn't build properly and will NOT boot unless you change the rom's zip.
so you could just repo init to the standard cm10.1 and add a local manifest with all our stuff on teamuserdebug and build it, but I don't want to update instructions until that not bootable problem is fixed.
well airflup1 we might not always have gotten along. We might have said things or did things in the past we are not proud of. Good work man on the rom and im proud of you. I mean that
Thank You Raver!
I apologize for all the trouble I have given you in the past.
Flash now....

Hey fellow Atrix 2 users, here's my first ROM built from source: Carbon. I realize that there is s port already form the hard working A2EPT (and much faster than myself!). I built this a few weeks ago and thought I'd share it anyway (with their consent). It runs prettys smooth and has been trouble free for myself, hopefully it's the same for you!

It is using CM's kernel but I read that altered was making more changes to it over the last couple of days so I might be missing some of them. My machine is syncing some sources for another ROM at the moment, I'll rebuild it this afternoon and post it.

I ran it with jbx for a bit and it worked fine. I think it's on par with the other roms for battery life. It's hard for me to tell though as my battery is terrible. I ordered a new one last week.

In Apps/Running Services there is a "Carbon Delta" process always running. I don't see something similar in other Roms ?

You wouldn't see it in other ROM's because it's specific to Carbon. I believe it's related to their OTA updates. I just disabled it on my phone and everything is fine. Maybe I can look into disabling it out of the box.
I used Link2sd to freeze it and everything works ok. I'll keep it frozen for a few days just to make sure.

Just posted 4.4.4. I sounds like it's just security updates. Carbon has made some minor changes as well. Enjoy!

Alright friends, I posted a new build. It took a while longer than I'd have liked, I accidentally trainwrecked my data drive a few weeks ago and I finally got the time to rebuild it. It wasn't so much that it took a long time to restore it, work just got in the way Enjoy!
