can i install 2 whatsapp at the same device ? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

hi
i have galaxy note
i won' to install 2 whatsapp i have 2 sim card
i did this on my iphone in the past
can i do it with note ?
thanks all

i don't think its possible. u need to re install whatsapp i guess and register with the mobile number you are using. but since u had two whatsapp on iphone then you can have it on android also. let's see if someone replies.

If you're rooted you can use Titanium Backup (TB) to create a separate user profile and then using the backup/store feature in TB you can then choose to make whatsapp a "multi-proflie" app.
Sent from my GT-N7000 running CM9 - The "Perfect ROM"

doesn't work :\

I dont think so
I do not think so, unless you can change the apk somehow to install two different whatsapp programs on the same phone.

May be you can by renaming the app.

I'll try it later.

Titanium Backup with Data Profiles works for me!
You can create two Profiles: Private and Work.
Now you can Switch the Profiles over the Titanium Backup or over the Titanium Backup Widget!

yes you can :-
1. root your note
2. factory reset
3. wipe cache
4. wipe dalvik
5. wipe battery stats
6. restore contact/emails
this ensure storage is sufficient for 2 profiles
7. install switch me app
8. install whatsapp with your main number
9. create a new profile in switch me and switch to the new profile
10. install whatsapp (still with main number in phone) and use another phone to get the whatsapp verification pin
11. enable quick switching for both profiles
switching whatsapp is as easy as pressing the switch me button. i am still figuring out how to run 2 whatsapps concurrently. so far no major issue with switching profiles except apps installed or photos taken with a profile is not available with anothet profile. did this since 12/12/12

It works with 2 devices though.. find a way to duplicate MAC/SN (combined with mobile number) of device (emulated). Not sure if this answers your question.

You need to be rooted to do this
There's an app in the play store called ((switch me multiple accounts))
By using this you will have 2 phones on 1
Just like multi boot
Install the WhatsApp after creating a new account
And complete the rest.. After that u can switch between the user's and use it normally

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=es.chorrasoft.twolines.android

It has already been stated.
Titanium Backup.... create 2/3/4 or however many profiles you want
choose profile 1... add whatsapp to that profile.. (to make it a mutli profile app)
configure with your number....etc
choose profile 2
launch whatsapp..and it will ask you to run mini setup...add number...etc...
do that...and then go back to whatsapp 1
I have this setup for the past 1.5 years...and use 2 different whatsapps /viber / skype / tango to accomodate if i'm in UK or at my overseas place of work

You can go to Colonel Zap blog to search for the rom. I believe he has a rooted firmware for the HDC branded one. If yours is the Star or Tinji brand, just search for tinji i9300 in XDA and you can find the rooted firmware for it as well.
I just got a bigger version from fastcardtech.com and they call it the HDC Galaxy note II clone. This is a really new model just released this month in September.
I just completed a review on it so you can check it out on youtube.

I hope someone can make a rooted firmware for this as well. I have to settle for stock for the time being.

Hi
I've bought one s3 clone yesterday in Singapore. No brand.
It's a 6577 dual core with 1gb ram and 2gb rom.
The screen is 1280x720 PX what is quite nice.
I've rooted it with the spark tool and it worked.
But I can't access to my sdcard. It's not mounted.
Does any one know how to use it ?
Cheers

Hey guys,
Thanks for this informative thread. I am interested in a similar phone, the Hero 9300+. Any suggestions?
P.S. that S3 clone is sexay, but too fat. Lol
This is how I rooted my S3 i9300 mtk6577 android 4.1. U can try this process for any mtk6577 device but do this with caution and at your own risk. I haven't flashed the ROM bcoz it's too risky with these Chinese clones.
*Install the MTK6577 usb drivers http://www.4shared.com/rar/0MvyztbR/usb_driver_MT65xx_Android_ZTE_.html? cau2=403tNull
*Download the rooting .rar file (v2) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
*please note that no apps must be open or running during the process.
*Connect the phone- should have the USB-Debug option enabled in settings.
*click RunMe.bat file and selectthe "Other" (option 4)
*click Restore option on ya mobile to backup ya data and then wait for the magic.
*Mobile should reboot twice and the command prompt on ya PC shows this msg: "Successful, going to reboot your device!"
*After completion, command prompt should state if phone has been rooted and superuser n terminal emulator apps automatically installed on ya mobile*
*After rooting my phone, I didnt see the superuser.apk file and just installed the superuser app from play store. U can also use any root checker apps to confirm that ya phone is rooted.
*To delete Chinese apps and anything u don't want, I used "Root App Delete" from play store. This app shows which system files u should not delete so PS do this with caution.

Yes! I'm using the phone here in London on giffgaff ad lebara Sims. Try removing the battery and simcard for a min before placing them back. The giffgaff similar should reset to original settings. Have u also tried a giff gaff goody bag, its much cheaper. If alI fails, I think u should safely back up ya data and do a factory reset.

Download MobileGo for Android on winXp
Open the application on your PC and connect ya phone via USB. make sure USB debugging is enabled. the computer automatically searches for ya mobile phone to the last detail. It may show a diffierent make since its a clone. so no worries about that.
Then click back up and it will back up all ya contacts, sms, all downloaded and system apps. so in case u need them later, just connect ya fone and click restore. no apps must be running during the back up or restore processes.

I created my whatsapp account with the SIM I was using before. I didn't change my mobile,
But I changed SIM(number). Still I am using the same whatsapp account. So changing sim doesn't
change account.
So here is my Theory. Create an account with one sim card in one device.
And take out the sim and put in other device and login to the same account.
So later you can change sim, still you will be using the old account.
I have only one Xperia Miro. So this is not tested !!! Please post the result if you are trying this...
Thank you. I'll try!

Make a backup of WhatsApp (data + app) on the device with the account on with Titanium Backup & send the backup to any other rooted device that you wish to install it on by importing the app & data & also make a back up of the WhatsApp folder from the phone that you have setup with the acct on & install that folder on all the devices that you plan to use WhatsApp on.
This works 100% & I've got it installed on my GT-i9100 (acct phone), HUAWEI Ascend Y600-U151 (slave), & a el-cheapo tablet. XD

Thanks for your suggestion. It will really helpful for me if you had implemented this successfully on your devices. But I have here some confusion, it didn't ask you for the account verification ? And here you say 'importing the app & data & also make a back up of the WhatsApp folder from the phone that you have setup with the acct'. I am not getting what you want to say. Please help me, its really needed to me.
I try below steps. Please let me know if any thing is wrong.
1 - Taken backup of whatsapp (app + data) on source (rooted) device.
2 - Send backup folder to destination (rooted) device via blue-tooth .
3 - Uninstall whatsapp on destination device if already exists.
4 - Restored whatsapp on destination device using Titanium backup.
Please know me if something wrong.

Hancom Office from Note Pro

New and working version released on Samsungs AppStore. Old "dump" files deleted.
New version is working great so far.
ianbbaa said:
Here are the files from the Note Pro dump needed to get run the viewer functions. No flashable zip - put files manually into system as it is in the file.
Works as a viewer of PDF, and lots of Office documents.
It looks like also editing functions and all sources are in those "viewer" aps itself, but Samsung probably do not allow to launch Hancom from "HancomOffice_Shared.apk" - in order to get editor suite to work(check AndroidManifest of both apks - one is INSTALL_ONLY!!)
- but "eMeeting_HANCOM.apk" its manifest states to get Hcell, Hword launched - but this doesnt work for me.
If someone more skilled with some spare time try to edit "HancomOffice_Shared.apk" in order to install and launch the Hcell, Hword - they both have almost identical "shared" smalis inside but eMeeting has some more Samsungized sources for some kind of e-colaboration/meeting sources.

The only app of the set that gives fc on Note 10.1. On the other hand, on my sgs4 running tw 4.4.2 samy latest firmware ( I mean carotix CarHdrom v 19 or 19.1) everithing, including hword, seems to work flawlesly. The fact that Note 10.1 runs an older op suytem, pehaps has to do with failiure.

Hi, I've tried installing the standalone APKs and the files from the Titanium Backup and all give a Forced Close on HWord. I also have the Note 10.1 (2012). Is anyone able to fix this?

[Q] One Whatsapp, two ROMs, one phone

Hey there. I have two ROMs to boot in my Nexus 4: one is stock KitKat, my daily driver, the other is the MIUI v5 port for Nexus 4 (4.8.10)
The problem is that I have Whatsapp installed and activated in my KitKat, and activating it in MIUI would disable the app in KK. Is there a way to keep both activated, since both will live in the same phone under the same number? I search the forum and Google and found nothing about this, just how to activate two WA accounts in the same ROM.

I'm glad to hear that my friend, just reply if you need any other help
Short question: Does this also work for subsequent communications? Will they also alwas appear within both ROMs then?
And would Titanium Backup provide the same for SMS, dialer etc.?
My last question just got active again since I installed a 2nd ROM - anyone some idea?

Getting the GEAR S2 to work with CM13 (or any custom rom)

To get the Gear S2 to work in CM13 follow these steps:
1) In build.prop edit anything that says samsung to something else (I put "htc"). I only found two, manufacturer and brand. This will now break the app store ability to download the app(s)
2) Download and install the APK for the Gear Manager and the Accessory Service (and maybe the S2 Plugin)
example:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/themes-apps/samsung-gear-manager-samsung-accessory-t3216240
3) You may encounter some app closures and stuff right away (I did) but wait for a minute and try again, eventually things settle down service launch and you can connect to your gear.
*Things to note: It will make you hard reset your watch, but you won't lose your purchases, just will have to reset everything and re-download everything.
That's it. I have my Gear s2, working with CM13 as we speak.
Also FYI, once done, rerooting does not stop the Gear Manager app from working.
I don't need to do any of that. I can get it to work fine with no issues running cm13 on nexus 6p.i can download apps etc. On occasion I need to u install the Samsung software and reinstall it after an update but that is it. The only issue I have is the Samsung watch update which is encrypted. I need to use my note for that

I don't have a nexus/LG phone so I couldn't tell you for sure, but it doesn't hurt to try it out if you are open to the risks involved. Just make sure you have a backup. Keep in mind that loading the update from the app store will then break the app again. So use the downloaded apks.
Worked, Thanks
can anyone tell me how I come to the build.prop? please
I have big problems with cm13 and the connection to my gear s2 classic! The way from you are OK but every 5 minutes the gear plugin break down and I have to delete the gear with titanium backup and flash it again.... That's bul****!

Same here: it first worked but then I updated the ROM (Resurrection Remix to Jun 2016 version). After that I got Gear Plugin FC all the time. It is to do with the "Notification access" which is enabled for Samsung Gear.
If you disable that no FC anymore. Confusing. Sometimes it helped to disable and enable bluetooth. Grrr. What a mess.

BTW op at least give credit to where you sourced your info from.
Hi @ all. I have exactly the same settings like in the first post but every time my gear S2 loose the connection and I have to reset the gear and gear app
What's the problem?
I will use the cm13 but the only problem is that I can't use my gear S2 too at the moment I'm using the Sixperience v3.1 on my Note 4 N910C and would like to use this rom here -> [ROM][N910C/H/U] CyanogenMod 13 - Build 11

Use the one I linked to. The thread the op linked to hasn't been updated. You probably need the most up to date apk's.

Genius! This is awesome! Lifesaver. Thank you!
It was working until now. It seems like Samsung has changed the way of detecting cm 13. The Samsung Gear App says it can not connect because some Gears are not supported with my phone (S4 mini CM 13).
I changed every "samsung" in the build.prop to "htc" (3x).
Can someone help?
