Stock kernel for TMOUS Sensation 4G - HTC Sensation

Hi
I installed faux's kernel and I'm getting terrible random reboots. Can anyone point me in the direction for a complete stock flashable TMOUS Sensation 4g kernel ? All the ones I'm finding are either overclocked or for the xe.

Anyone ? I found the default kernel boot.img from the ruu but have not idea how to flash it without breaking anything...

Well after much trial and error, I have made my own CWM flashable kernel. Link is below:

Your sensation should handle stock ce kernel (1512). Regular sensation is no different to xe hardware wise.

What are the best kernels to use with Coredroid 2.4 ?

Just flashed Coredroid 2.4 to my Sensation a couple of days ago and it's working great and just wanted to know what Kernels are Compatible with Coredroid 2.4 for the Sensation.

I have tried most of them but not the latest ones. For me the bricked kernels were the best of all of them but I eventually reverted to stock.
Remember to always come from a stock kernel before flashing any of the kernels on coredroid for the best results and avoid boot loops. Nandroids are your best friends!!
Have fun!

I did the same, I was running Bulletproof but now I'm on stock.
Bricked kernel is pretty fast and makes everything smooth.

I always use bricked. Works with most custom rooms out there. I even changed custom rom that bricked kernel doesn' work.
With coredorid 2.4 I use to have bricked 0.91.
Now I 'm trying latest insertcoin with latest bricked after energy with 0.91.
Why did you guy's go back to the stock what was wrong with the other kernels

I'm not sure what their probs were but mine would freeze up (white screen w\ Htc logo). I personally would stay with stock no probs to speak of with it.
I've been running CoreDroid since ver 1.4.
To install the stock kernel do I just download it and flash it?

Custom Rom for Sensation XE

I just want to ask if there are already some Custom Roms for Sensation XE? I don't mean Sensation Roms based on XE!! But Roms developed special for XE!! If not: is it possible to use for example Insert Coin based on XE with my XE?
It's the same phone. The sensation was released with the kernel undrclocked
The only difference is the bigger battery and fancy head phones..... Gutted eh?

I'm using this one in the moment "virtuous_sensation_xe_v.2.1.0", because it's using the XE rom as a base

Hey thx....I'll try that one ...I know XE is quite the same phone as regular Sensation...so the CPU is just software-based overclocked or is it really 1.5?
IMO the XE runs CPU up 1.5 and the Sensation is downgraded to 1.2.

Has anyone ran a matrix, endeavor, vivid, herc or a tuna kernels.

If anyone has ran any of these listed kernels could you tell me which ones are more better for battery life and which ones for performance.Im just wondering if these different kernels are any good.I would appreciate any information on any of these kernels if you have any experience with any of them. Thanks in advance...

I meant atrix not matrix. Is it true that tamacore and Sebastian kernels are better for battery life than bricked kernels?are only faux kernels built for performance, speed, etc?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G with Beats Audio using xda app-developers app
Running kernels made for different devices can usually result in two ways: 1. your phone won't boot / 2. it will, but with a lot of errors.
Maybe a kernel for a HTC device close to the sensation will work eventually, but chances are next to 0.
Since Bricked and Faux has better core management and Sebastian's kernel is almost stock - then it is false. Faux's & Bricked kernel can be configured either to save battery or to perform fast.
I personally have only gotten great speed out of faux kernels.and great batt life out of bricked kernels.I have seen that tamacore kernels also provide good batt life as well.I was just wondering if anyone has ever ran any of the different kernels that I have listed and what kind of rests that they experienced with them.

So basically the only kernels that I should run on my sensation is faux, bricked,Sebastian and tamacore kernels?how about vivid kernels?any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated it.

What does sweep2 wake mean on bricked kernels?and cmdline means what as well.are any if these Sebastian aftermarket kernels any good or should I just not even mess with Sebastian kernels? Thanks!!!

The Vivid is HTC's codename for a different phone, IT IS NOT A KERNEL! Its like htc named our phone the "pyramid" so flashing a kernel for the vivid is not a good idea.
The kernel devs that are active on sensation are, Show-p1984 with Bricked kernel, faux with faux kernels, sebastian with his kernel and tamcore who does CM/AOSP kernels only so dont flash tamcore kernel unless you are running an AOSP/CM based ROM.

Sweep2wake means that your screen will turn on and off by sliding your finger across the capacative touch buttons at the bottom of the phone.
Unless you are a dev, you really dont need to know what the kernel cmdline is or does.
Thank you very much for clearing up my kernel qwestions.
