I just want to ask if there are already some Custom Roms for Sensation XE? I don't mean Sensation Roms based on XE!! But Roms developed special for XE!! If not: is it possible to use for example Insert Coin based on XE with my XE?
It's the same phone. The sensation was released with the kernel undrclocked
The only difference is the bigger battery and fancy head phones..... Gutted eh?

I'm using this one in the moment "virtuous_sensation_xe_v.2.1.0", because it's using the XE rom as a base

Hey thx....I'll try that one ...I know XE is quite the same phone as regular Sensation...so the CPU is just software-based overclocked or is it really 1.5?
IMO the XE runs CPU up 1.5 and the Sensation is downgraded to 1.2.

+1 they wouldn't sell a device where the cpu is running to high

Hi, any xe users?
Can I treat it as a sensation as far as modding goes, not sure about the battery support in the kernel or that the XE is already "overclocked" please anyone in itching to get rid of all this stock tosh and get me a nice clean build :-*

well i have xe and i flashed insertcoin all is great, battery life runs out fast when im using it lol and im underclocked to 1.2ghz as i have stock kernal. so you can mod it but just look for what you want 2bh.
Is someone working with this combination? Is it a good one? Does it even possible?
I have sensation Z710e....

no one using this combination? whats the best kernel for IC so?
tinky1 (who worked on the stock XE 1.5 kernel with LeeDroid) is using IC and it works fine apparently
works the stock xe kernel with htc amazing cam???
Are the differences in Sensation models (e.g., XE, 4G) terribly significant? For instance I'm interested in flashing Virtuous Inquisition but I just noticed that they only list Sensation and Sensation XE as supported devices on their site. Should I avoid this ROM since I have a Sensation 4G?
No your cool dude they are the same phone but xe is stock clocked at 1.5 where as ours is stock at 1.2 but it is the same chip set and xe has beats audio which you can have too by flashing a xe ROM like ARHD your good to go man don't worry

Everything in the last comment i made, i'm looking to root and rom my HTC Sensation XE i'm getting tommorow, but i can't find a forum for XE
Everything that works on a normal sensation will work on a sensation xe. This is because they have the same internals. So in conclusion if there is a guide that explains rooting a sensation that will work for an xe.
That is why there is no seperate thread for the sensation xe.

Are you sure... what do you mean they have the same internals...
The sensation is 1.2 and XE is 1.5, a sensation can be overclocked to 1.5 but can a XE be overclocked to more than 1.5?
also in cyanogen site downloads there are official sensation roms, are you sure i can use those exact same roms for XE?
Yeah man, I'm certain. The processor in the sensation is the same as in the xe but underclocked by HTC so that they could bring out the xe.
So yes any rom, mod or kernel designed for either phones will work on both.

Yes, you CAN. If the normal Sensation can go over 1.5 then it makes sense that the XE would be able to as well.
I have my 4G at ~1.7Ghz... and since it's the same processor... you could too!

Show off.
The phone is on 4.0.4 ICS, is it worth putting Cyanogen just to overclock? doubt there is anything that will not work/lag at this point y?
I see that there is a zip file of cyanogen mod 10 for the htc sensation but is it also use able on a htc sensation xe with beats audio without losing beats

you can use it in XE but if the rom hasn't beats audio then you won'r have
check in the roms thread for that
but you can always flash a mod for that
I also see that my xe has a 1.5 ghz dualcore processor and a normal sensation a1.2 ghz dualcore processor. So my question is when I instal this rom does my phone than only work on 1.2 ghz or can it still work on 1.5 ghz

the ofspoky
i know you guys hate to answer to that question
but should I go for
CM10.1 or Frankestine's AOKP
which one worked the best for you?

probably the rom contains custom kernel so you can choose cpu frequency during the installation through aroma installer(if it has)
but it is better to ask it in the rom's thread
surely they will know better

Both phones have duel 1.5 GHz processors. The Sensation (not XE) just wasn't set up to clock up to 1.5 stock so it was sold as 1.2. But it is the same chip in both phones.
The only difference between the sensation and sensation XE is software. The hardware is identical. All ROMs will work on both phones.
As long as the kernel in your ROM is set up to allow it, you can clock your Sensation to 1.5 or higher.

Frankinstine aokp is more stable than cm10.1 with all the features working but cm10.1 is almost just as stable now especially with the constant updates and hard work by albinoman....I'm always back and forth between the two
What is the diffrence between a stable and a nightly build??
Who can tell me
