ok near to finishing rom i little problem please help

i want to put a file for example "test.Tsk" in Kitchen package so when i finish the new rom it will have that as a theme in the back ground as it load up for the first time and if i do a hard reset.
how can i do that if anyone could explain
thanks to all who has help i am one step on finish this rom if some can help

for your information mate that thread was to do with Battery problem which to some good people on this thread help me out and done the job,
this thread is to do with TSk files 2 complete diffrent thing, instead of
criticize people on this forum who need help you have post over 200 hundred post problem half of them are probably sensilase what you trying to gain more post make you super mod mate you never get there.

ok man, this is what you do:
put the .tsk in the Theme - Default package
make sure that Theme-Default is selected when you cook the ROM
open config_operator.txt from the Theme - Default package
replace this line:
Code:
EXEC:\WINDOWS\cusTSK.exe \WINDOWS\BOGUS.tsk
with this:
Code:
TSK: \WINDOWS\the_name_of_the_tsk_that_you_put_in_this_folder_goes_here.tsk
now save it. if it tells you that you can't save it, make sure it is not read-only, then save it, then make it read-only again
also, look around your OEM folder for Config_PT.txt, Config_operator.txt, Config_AP.txt, and Config.txt and delete them if you find them

While the poster to which you are replying may have been much less tactful than he should have been, that does not mean he is incorrect. You have been here not a very long time, and in that time you have posted 13 new threads out of 58 posts. If one looks at the types of questions that you start each thread with it becomes abundantly clear that you have ignored one of the most basic rules around here...post in an EXISTING thread before creating a new one if possible. There are numerous other threads where misc cooking questions could be posted.
It seems to be that if you don't understand what provisioning xml files do, and how to provision in setting, then you need to do a lot more reading and searching before you start posting a new thread with every new question you have while cooking...
You said it best above, respect everyone, and this "cool site" by following the rules that were designed to make this site better.

thnak s for your advise, tell me something if thread heading mean "help with battery" would,nt that be just be for battery, the next problem i had was "tsk" if for example someone had help me with "tsk" problem in the same thread that would be kool, but if newbie had the same problem as me in "tsk" he would,nt look in there thread that say help with battery would he,
he open a new thread and the cycle recycles again,

To change wallpaper follow this intructions:
hold on the screen ( like you would add a widget) , click on "settings" than after the second pop out comes up, click on "desktop background", than other pop out will come out and than click on "background management" when the pop out screen comes "Alarm" click on "cancel", than other screen will pop out and click on the top of the screen where it says "select background image" click on "select" after that click on the second folder , and a "image folder" should pop out. now post all the wallpapers that i post on the download below and on your sd card there should be a folder all the way in the bottom of the root of ur sd card call " windows 7 " and an "image folder should come out", drag the "wallpaper link below" and draw it to your root of the sd cards of the folder call "windows 7 / images" and paste right there, and now follow the steps that were giving in the beggining and you should see all the new wallpapers and choice any that u like. and enjoy​

Great work! It looks good, but to be limited to one screen and also not being able to use widgets, seems like it is a very limited. More so then even an iPhone!

The original developer is http://www.joymms.com/English and Samspoon was assisting with the translation because the developer was delayed in getting the English version published, but it looks like the developer has the english version on his website now. I had an e-mail conversation last night with [email protected] and he had just downloaded the English version.
aalopez pdf looks VERY similar to the Readme.htm file you get when you download the app from the following site, http://www.joymms.com/English/. WOW!!!!

and i made this new thread to keep everything simple, from the old post wit the chinese version.
im just sharing for others who doesnt know about it, and doesnt want to go 50 pages later from the original thread to find a english version.
if you dont have nothing good to say dont say it,
not to be negative to everyone but it seems some people dont appreciated, when i shared something cool and start posting negative things about it.
if it wasnt for ME NO ONE WOULD OF KNOW ABOUT THIS APP.
im pretty sure next time i find something im guess ill keep it to myself.

I'm also showing you some love. I've been following this app since the beginning. I think it's awesome. Would like to know what particular features get unlocked with paid version. Meh, I was excited, but didn't really like it after using it. I couldnt figure out how to put it in landscape. Im sure it will get better with updates though. It reminds me why I preferred my phone over my loptop. It is something new and innovative. Im sure the dev will make some good money off this at 10 bucks a pop.

Just leave GPS on, it uses no juice when it is not active.

If you have developed a ROM, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
It is NOT the place to post your question because it gets higher traffic, or because more experienced users frequent it. Doing this just annoys those who are working on the device, and drives them away. Developers don't want to wade through 20 threads of "Help me urgently" to find their threads for porting and fixing camera issues etc. Similarly, if a thread is designated as discussion for developers say, porting a camera fix, please do not post in there asking "When will it be ready?", "Can I flash this yet?" etc. This is both completely disrespectful to those working on the project (you evidently haven't read the important posts in the thread), and also is making it harder for developers to find comments from other developers or testers when required.
Similarly, don't make loads of "Thanks for your work here" posts in an active development thread. It's just as annoying to developers as asking when something will be ready. If a ROM is complete, then go ahead and thank the developer if you wish, but don't go into threads for devs only, and interrupt it to post "thanks". It's basically spamming, and is treated as such.
If you are posting in development, you should have read every sticky and notice there, and should be actively developing or helping in the development of something. Developing isn't installing a ROM, or using a tweak, it's creating a ROM or other hack or tweak. If you haven't read for several days before starting out on XDA, you are likely about to ask something already solved. I registered on XDA when I first wanted to post, and that was to join in a discussion on something. Sure, join up and ask a question, but read the information available in General and Q&A first, as your question will have been asked before. Search is your friend here, become familiar with it.
Regarding when to post in development if you are not actually developing something, there is one occasion where it's acceptable. If you find a leak of a new ROM, which isn't already posted, and you verify it's legitimacy via either running it, or based on the source you obtained it from, then this is assisting in development, and should be posted in development. If you want to ask when a leak will be available use search first, then if not already in discussion, open a thread in general or Q&A.
If you have a problem flashing a ROM, this is NOT related to development. It's up to you to determine if it is specific to a particular ROM, and post useful information in that developer's existing thread for the ROM. If it happens on more than one ROM, and isn't a known issue (remember you should read several times more words than you post), then find out what you are doing wrong. Check guides written by others, try to repeat the problem and see if it happens every time. Something needs to be reproducible to be fixed effectively.
Once you have identified what you need help with go to the device Q&A forum (general if device lacks one), and make a clear, informative thread that explains the issue, and what you have tried doing to fix it. Did you re-download the ROM? Did you ask a friend to flash it for you, to reduce chance of user error? What steps (exactly) did you follow? What errors did you see (exact wording)? Did you double check all the steps? Did you do a wipe or hard reset?
If you make a clear, concise, yet detailed post, you will find help forthcoming, and should get the problem sorted very quickly. If someone suggests you try something, report back on what happened, did it work etc. Then, next time someone has this issue and searches, they will find this and have a verified and tested solution.
So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing. If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?

Why don't you just uninstall it and install it again. That's gonna solve your problem for sure

go to data/data then launcherpro and delete all file you find in folder
but don't delete folder just file and restart launcher you got it by default

[idea][question] xda app market

I know this isn't a new idea or question. But why isn't there a (free) appstore for xda where developers can upload their apps all in one place. Similar to what dividgiga did in his thread (found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=720944). But would have categories for more devices. Even specific ones. Could have apps, ROMs, kernels, games, mods, anything downloadable. With xda's support they could even implement a feature on the site that when a developer makes a thread and uploads his work on the forum it will give a prompt and ask if he wants it automatically uploaded to the store. I have searched for similar ideas and found that's one place where they failed. People not uploading enough items to the database. Having a prompt for it to automatically be added to the store would [in theory] fix that issue. Also this would raise awareness of the appstore and generate more users and in turn more developers wanting to add their work, another issue I've seen with other appstores. Having everything in one place would also make finding awesome things for your phone so much easier. Cause let's face it if u don't know EXACTLY what to "search" for how are you going to find it? And before someone says it, no I'm not one of the people that is too lazy to search the forum. I actually spend hours searching the forum and Google before I ask for an answer. This would just make it faster and easier. And what's the purpose of technology if not to make things easier, faster, and more efficient?
Anyways these are just my initial ideas. Have many more but I wanted to get some input on this first. Please comment with your opinion or other ideas.

A project like that should cost a lot, and even if someone wanted to realize it, they didn't find investors. I also think the appstore doesn't have to be completely (free). Why not to pay Rom's authors for their work...the cost of a beer from everyone downloads the rom should be enough to thank them. p.s sorry for my English

I agree but in order for xda to back it I'm pretty sure it would have to be free. (If the same rules apply as from the forum). There would definitely be a donation button though. Don't get me wrong on that. And like I said these are just basic initial ideas. By no means is my post a complete plan for an app market.

If you put it in this way, then of course it would be a successfull idea. So who should we fight to have the store?
I've just watched the introduction video...so take my "thank"

I feel like if a detailed more complete plan for this app store was wrote up and presented to xda and enough developers agreed to back it. and help develop it there would be a good chance they would agreed to implement it on their website.it's impossible to not be heard if you make enough noise and present an educated plan. sorry for the brief reply.II'm going into work right now. I will get back on later when I get off. And we can talk about this more. We need to try and get more people to comment on this thread though for sure.

As I said in a previous post. In order to be backed by xda it would have to be free (as stated in forum rules), however their would be donation buttons for people to say thanks. If developers wouldn't upload to the appstore simply because they don't get paid per-app only from donations then why would they load stuff on the xda forum? Because the same rule applies here.

Its definitely an option I'm not saying it won't happen. Like I said before make enough noise and you can't be ignored =P any other good ideas? Remember no idea is a bad idea so start brainstorming!
And definitely help try and get more people on board with the idea! The more people that back it up the better chances we will have a stable long lasting appstore and not one that'll be here one minute and gone the next!

Anyways these are just my initial ideas. Have many more but I wanted to get some input on this first. Please comment with your opinion or other ideas.

How should I remove a post, a reply or something I wrote and want to delete ?

I think I missed something but every time I can't find the simple answer ..... then I leave the message with nothing in it ...... removing or deleting my writings ...
any hint is very welcome ! Thanks in advance ...

Only mods should delete posts and even that I don't like. Threads same deal.
Censorship kills forums and thought.
That said, member post editing is privilege not a right... don't abuse it.

Anyway your answer is that removing own words is impossible once posted ....

That's what I do. If someone doesn't like what I posted, I got a pocket full of napalm.

To delete post use report button and explain reason why u want it deleted or u can PM a mod like @woodman @TNSMANI

You can't delete your posts yourself BUT you can edit the content of your own posts though. I mean you can edit a post of yours by removing its content and write "Deleted" for instance.
And as said by Austinredstoner, you can also use the report button on your posts. Moderators will receive such reports and they will act accordingly.

Removing posts is not about censorship in our case, it's about allowing mods to enforce the forum rules of our private site. And forum rules are not only about spam that is not allowed, there are other things to handle.
