AFT firmware mod for HTC Dream
This reflash is hybrid build from leaked files and sources of Magic reflash.
* I do not include any radio's in my build. If you are coming from an RC33 build, you can get the latest radio 2.22.19.23 here This is the same radio as the one that came from HTC.

This Build based on the The Dude's Cupcake v0.8 NO WIPE Regular and have some changes:
Changes made by AndroidFan team:
• All packages in reflash had been optimized like in other official Android releases. Due to this the final size of the image had increased. It made us to delete some useless stuff. But this optimization saves approximately 20 Mb of user data and improves system performance and startup time.
• Chinese font, voice dial files and several standard ringtones were deleted to save extra disk space.
• Busybox was also removed (unfortunately there were no enough space for it)
• 2 on-screen keyboards
• Russian language is installed by default and can be switched to English easely.
The most important improvement – is optimization. Dex files (with code) are being extracted from package during its installation. After phone-targeted optimization they are put into cache folder. All non-final reflashes comes with usual packages which should be optimized before usage. During optimization process all non-optized code is being replaced by ready-to-use one. This saves storage space and improves performance.

Is performance the only upgrade to this build, or are there any other functional changes/upgrades/enhancements?

Actually not only performance, we also tried to improve stability and added ‘garbage collector’. We are just at the beginning of our work, further releases are to come. Btw, there is a special thread on our board for English-speaking users.

Good luck with that. It took me 10 minutes to find that thread. I had to find the forum link in the menu through trial and error.
I don't see this catching on much, especially with this kind of support. If a noob can't figure out how to rename a zip file, I doubt they're going to search a russian website for the answer.

I clicked the link at the bottom of his post which was originally androidfan.ru, but has since been changed to forums.androidfan.ru. I must have been wrong assuming the first link in his post was a direct link to the actual firmware, considering that's what it was labeled as.

Either way, that doesn't matter, what matters is that questions and/or troubleshooting should be made here instead of a Russian site where users are definitely gonna have issues posting or even registering to post.

Wtf come down everone. I would had been better i all those custom bulid had come together into one but that would be in a perfect world o well. I will stick with the dude m=bulid intill Tmobile comes out with the up date then i will say see yay sucker JF bulid will be better becouse it uesd the bug free one.

Trust me when I say russians can be quite rude unintentionally but yes some designated 'props' are in order as well as a "spec" list of where the build is.
Haykuro- I would pm this but I have a feeling your box gets overcrowded so let me just say a considerable donation would be made to you if you could produce a build based off the current G build that would allow my wife to switch back and forth between russian and english as she chooses for text etc.

Its great that more and more people are creating custom roms. I love options!

it would be even better if everyone would work together on one build instead of a half dozen different builds....

Dude's G build has Russian locale in it. Look at the screenshots, see if you like it.
There's an option of installing Russian VK (3rd screenshot) into any build, it was on the market at some point... not anymore though. I still have it somewhere. Let me know if you need it, I"ll send it to you. It's fairly simple VK, no spell check, no auto correction but it does the job.

To change wallpaper follow this intructions:
hold on the screen ( like you would add a widget) , click on "settings" than after the second pop out comes up, click on "desktop background", than other pop out will come out and than click on "background management" when the pop out screen comes "Alarm" click on "cancel", than other screen will pop out and click on the top of the screen where it says "select background image" click on "select" after that click on the second folder , and a "image folder" should pop out. now post all the wallpapers that i post on the download below and on your sd card there should be a folder all the way in the bottom of the root of ur sd card call " windows 7 " and an "image folder should come out", drag the "wallpaper link below" and draw it to your root of the sd cards of the folder call "windows 7 / images" and paste right there, and now follow the steps that were giving in the beggining and you should see all the new wallpapers and choice any that u like. and enjoy​

Just downloaded and installed all is ok you have to login to some community for the gold stuff (i didn't do that ) but it seems pretty solid runs nice but the weather will not let me set my area. very nice launcher though can't wait to see the updates

Please anybody knows how to get the weather for sweden? I can NO chinese and the weather app integrated is in chinese!

some of the parts I still find chinese. if the pop up comes up you can just hit cancel and the program still runs. overall neat. custom version with some stuff toned down would be nice

keep in mind this app was NOT a paid app until this english release appeared. it was a free app - I had the chinese versino yesterday.
please correct me if I'm wrong - since of course I don't speak chinese it's possible that it was only a trial version in chinese and this informatino wasn't translated properly by google translate. But it certainly was believed to be a free app until now.
Either way - posting a donation link is not "wrong" according to precedence on this site. the work to translate it is huge and the guy here did put a lot of work into it at the start of things, so fair enough.
just my opinion - but it seems that some people are very judgemental about other people's concepts. if you don't like a donation link, don't donate.
I don't know about you, but if I do something that takes some time, I won't refuse if someone wants to pay me for it. a donation link makes that an option to the end user. nothing more, nothing less.

no.... it's an english version which the author has now decided to make a trial version of what is now a paid app.
it seems like a really impressive launcher! makes much more sense in english LoL
still a couple of things are in chinese though so I won't be paying until I see it actually fully translated. but it's very very impressive. I bet my wife would like this if it was really fully translated.

The app IS free but to use it you have to pay for a subscription to the actual maker's website. Has always been that way.
This guy took some scripts I made over in the evo thread to pull all the chinese strings and allow you to re-inject them as english.
All he did was pretty up some lines of text and run my scripts. But the actual app itself was released in english on their own website.

ok i just want to be using something that is someone elses app if that makes any sence. also it would be nice if we could ad some widgets to this like audio set cpu ect

not asking for donations, or for a crack version is a choice for anyone who wants to do it, if u dont like something just dont say nothing because if it wasnt for me NO ONE WILL KNOW OF THIS APP.

like i said before i did not create the app, but put some time to it, and sorry to be negative but people gotta learn that i shared it with others to enjoy, because im pretty sure NO ONE would of know of this app if i never would of shared to the community.

+1, the idea of a closed beta is that it is only for the specific testers. We earned that position.

No that is a completely different dev group. The dev group that made the project he posted is wp7android started by the red drake and others. BTW i would not recommend trying the one he posted anyways because half of the features are missing in it. Its not hard to become part of the beta group. All you have to do is go over to wp7android.com (better hurry though because we are changing sites) and donate to the paypal account linked to the page. After that just email your paypal confirmation code to mafteiu vlad (he is in the contacts) or just pm "The Red Drake" here on XDA. After this he will send you the apk's or the code to unrar them from the website. Once you have donated once you get all the apps/updates/rom(once its out)/etc. You do not have to donate much just a generous amount.

Well you are entitled to your own opinion.....but your opinion is wrong. You are basing your thoughts on betas and lite versions of the apps. Also, seeing as the projects are updated all the time, my guess is that you have not updated in a while meaning that you do not truly know how the project is now. If you would let me know what you thought sucked about it we could work to resolve those issues but frankly one troll saying "wp7android sucks" is not going to stop the project. Some real great stuff is in the works right now to make this a fantastic project. One thing (I can't release all the info but i can say a few things) is that we are currently working with amazon. We have their support (i can not go into detail about what they are supporting) and with what they have already and will be providing in the future, this could be a groundbreaking prject.

This is a horrible app probably the worst contacts app I have ever used! Coming from an actual WP7 device this is just terrible!

Well because most of our betas are close to release quality, but we are a very small group with limited resources, and hey we gotta make money somehow lol But you do not just pay to test beta, because you get the actual apps once they are released also. Plus if you go on our site and request apps to be themed/made we attempt to get a dev to do this for you. It truly is worth the money as you get 10 apps and a rom(once it is released).

I know this isn't a new idea or question. But why isn't there a (free) appstore for xda where developers can upload their apps all in one place. Similar to what dividgiga did in his thread (found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=720944). But would have categories for more devices. Even specific ones. Could have apps, ROMs, kernels, games, mods, anything downloadable. With xda's support they could even implement a feature on the site that when a developer makes a thread and uploads his work on the forum it will give a prompt and ask if he wants it automatically uploaded to the store. I have searched for similar ideas and found that's one place where they failed. People not uploading enough items to the database. Having a prompt for it to automatically be added to the store would [in theory] fix that issue. Also this would raise awareness of the appstore and generate more users and in turn more developers wanting to add their work, another issue I've seen with other appstores. Having everything in one place would also make finding awesome things for your phone so much easier. Cause let's face it if u don't know EXACTLY what to "search" for how are you going to find it? And before someone says it, no I'm not one of the people that is too lazy to search the forum. I actually spend hours searching the forum and Google before I ask for an answer. This would just make it faster and easier. And what's the purpose of technology if not to make things easier, faster, and more efficient?
Anyways these are just my initial ideas. Have many more but I wanted to get some input on this first. Please comment with your opinion or other ideas.

A project like that should cost a lot, and even if someone wanted to realize it, they didn't find investors. I also think the appstore doesn't have to be completely (free). Why not to pay Rom's authors for their work...the cost of a beer from everyone downloads the rom should be enough to thank them. p.s sorry for my English

I feel like if a detailed more complete plan for this app store was wrote up and presented to xda and enough developers agreed to back it. and help develop it there would be a good chance they would agreed to implement it on their website.it's impossible to not be heard if you make enough noise and present an educated plan. sorry for the brief reply.II'm going into work right now. As I said in a previous post. In order to be backed by xda it would have to be free (as stated in forum rules), however their would be donation buttons for people to say thanks. If developers wouldn't upload to the appstore simply because they don't get paid per-app only from donations then why would they load stuff on the xda forum? Because the same rule applies here.

Also this would raise awareness of the appstore and generate more users and in turn more developers wanting to add their work, another issue I've seen with other appstores. Having everything in one place would also make finding awesome things for your phone so much easier. Cause let's face it if u don't know EXACTLY what to "search" for how are you going to find it? And before someone says it, no I'm not one of the people that is too lazy to search the forum. I actually spend hours searching the forum and Google before I ask for an answer. This would just make it faster and easier. And what's the purpose of technology if not to make things easier, faster, and more efficient?
Anyways these are just my initial ideas. Have many more but I wanted to get some input on this first. Please comment with your opinion or other ideas.

I Just Got the Preview Builds of The Full Microsoft office for Android Preview Build.Anyone who has this I am asking as you use it . Please post tips and issues here. I would like to see if we can get MS To include Full S-PEN Support

11 22 2014 Major flaw for a office application
Ok. I have been using this a bit. But today i Discovered a FATAL FLAW. I was at a Customers house and Went to Pull up my Contract template To edit for this Job on site. I was offline no wifi an was NOT Tethered. The Doc Pulled up fine. I spend 15 minutes Making Changes . Then the BAD OOPS I went to Save the DOCUMENT. Got error. you can not save your document at this time.. SERVER NOT ONLINE...
I Then Copied and the whole text..
opened office suite 8 and pasted the contract into a new word doc.
One more thing i noticed. There is no Cloud support for Private server FTP And so on .
I also seen someone else ask about this on the ms yummer forum. HE WAS TOLD THIS IS BY DESIGN AND WILL NOT BE CHANGED. SO I have been wasting my time by trying is application. As well as YOUR TIME FOR POSTING THIS HERE .
I posted on yummer and send email to ms FOR Clarification. I so hope i am wrong with the above. as i was starting to like the app .

Been using this for a week now.
So far it will open and edit all files created with ms word with no issues no strange formatting.
The power point app is a bit slow and still quite buggy
Spreadsheets show well and editable..
Biggest downside so far. NO S-PEN Support. I have been talking to someone at MS About this as well as others have. I think they will fix this for us but only time will tell.

I have been using it for about a week now, but I am forcing rotation to landscape at all times. Some things can be a little more user friendly or intutive, but for the most part, it works well.

On the Yammer forum for office for android preview . I have been talking to a few of the ms people. They are Working on the Landscape only issue with power point . as well as (FOR ME ANYWAY) Its too slow to be usable..
I noticed this morning they have given 300 or so more preview passes. As the site is full of people who do i install. For me right now. I will keep playing with it .But will do my work on office suite 8. it seems more reliable for things I have to get done.

That's not the preview version of Office, that's just the phone version sideloaded onto the Note.
I've been accepted as a tester of Office for Android Tablets and this is what it looks like. Just like the iPad version, Office has been split into 3 applications (4 if you include OneNote); Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Here is some screenshots of it in action:

That would be terrific. I got into the preview program, but I can't seem to be able to download the apps from the Play Store.

It says need some aditional more files to download to run word but no download nothing happens

I am not sure that would be Legal or if it would even work. As you have to long in with you MS Account to set the apps up. That would show you are NOT On there preview tester list..

Already joined the group on yammer. But I havent recieved my invitation.
Btw. I installed the posted apks and they seem to start fine with lollipop [emoji6] (but I also got the additional files message)

Many thanks! l also get "Download additional files" Message, but the download does nothing. The files in the play store are about 3 x larger than the ones you uploaded.
Still, thanks a bunch for your efforts.

So I just got contacted by Microsoft requesting that I take down the APKs for office. Looks like you'll need to wait a little in order to get access to the preview.

I am not Surprised . They seem to be Keeping a Close Grip on The Preview release. I Know over the last few days the Numbers of people on there forum has Doubled. And this happened Right after the Update they pushed.
As far as those who got the .apk files from other then the preview tester Application link in the op.. The first time you start one of the apps it sits on a Window . I have assumed it wad D/LOADING Other Files. This is Something Ms Seems to be doing for all there software as a Anti Piracy thing.
What we do need here is People to describe the issues with the APPS And the s-pen as i KNOW MS is watching this Thread. I Sent the a link to here to one of the people in charge of this project.

Sometimes the links can take a hour or so to show up. After you scroll to the bottom of the Invite email and click the button. I forget what it looks like
