hello guyz. i just got a motorola ES400 and password protected it but forgot the password so i did a master reset of the device.but after the master reset i try to use the fingerprint scanner as my new security but it could not switch from normal numerical pin codes to the the fingerprint pin security.it tells me "lockswitch.exe error". please i will be very greatfull if someone could give me a solution to this problem.it is killing me
Do another hard reset, make a full backup and use a simple password and write it somewhere down
this is the 4th hard reset i have done since the incident.the numerical pin works well after this resets but the fingerprint pin doesn't work which is what i'm interested in.thanks for your help Bozosniper but that is not it.i just dont know what to do any more

Hey Guys..
Somebody stole my phone today and i m feeling totally helpless.
So I decided to make my next android more protected and secure.
To prevent any hard reset or Software reinstallation, can we protect Bootloader?
1). Password to Bootloader
2). Password to Recovery
etc?
I dont know much about android development but still..
If you guys find such a way, that would be a great punch on the face of thieves..

Hi! I have an Xperia Z3 and I've recently changed the password for it. After that, I couldn't unlock it with it. I don't know why because I remember my password but I guess I've pressed some wrong letters when I set it up. I can't seem to get it unlocked, I've tried everything I found on the Internet ( that code with *#*# doesn't work, Xperia and PC Companion don't work with a password locked device). The Android Device Manager is useless, I do not have the option to put a new password. My device is not rooted, I do not have active any apps that could help me unlock it(myXperia ? ), not even to back up my data. I do NOT want to factory reset it, I have important data that I can't afford to lose. I'm pretty desperate, I really need it back soon. What can I do? I even tried to factory reset it because I was hopeless, even if it was the last solution, but I couldn't even get that done. I know there are a lot of these topics online but trust me., I've searched and tried everything and it still freaking doesn't work. Thank you for your answers.
Okay so I got this Honor 6x running on Nougat BLN-L22 (Indian version) and I forgot my PIN. Now I looked up on youtube and found a few videos where you can recover/reset your password using google account circumventing the hard reset option.
But it turns out that my lock screen doesn't have any such option.
Can someone please help? Is this bug or something?

In stock recevery is probably one choice via factory reset but u loose all data from internal storage. I don't tested with password
edit: maybe after reset will phone want again password, so is on your risk

Ok so phone after reset don't remember fp, pin etc... if somebody steall your phone can easily make factory reset... I think for this is FRP lock, because if u put another sim to phone and another email adress, phone/google remember which email was before on phone and will send you sms or email with verification code on adress which was on phone before

Havent tested with any other email or sim so may be if I insert a new one, it may ask for FP or PIN.
Hello,
a friend of mine gave me his U11+ because he had a problem with it. After a factory reset he can start the phone and log in to wifi, but after that, the phone always asks for the last verify PIN
He told me he never had one.
At first i tried a factory reset and a cache wipe with no effect. Then i flashed a ruu with the SD method, but the Phone keeps asking for the verify PIN.
The Phone has S-On, is not rooted and the bootloader is looked.
Does anybody know, how to fix this?
Thanks!
Chris
Ist it maybe possible, to delect or chrash the current Firmware and then installing the ruu again? I don't know, where the information about the verify Pin is saved.
Please help me

I have a moto g stylus XT2211DL and my friend somehow got it locked on the second setup screen. Cannot sign in to wifi or anything, it's not even FRP locked. I am able to bypass the screen using MTP and then maps to get to settings, but some settings are still locked like developer options, and you can't install apps. My question is, does anybody know which system app the device lock would be in so I can either disable or force quit so I can finish the setup and unlock all the features again?
here is the screen
How about factory reset it through stock recovery and try again?

You have to set up the device using enterprise enrolment and that would bypass the locked screen limitation. I have the same phone and I experienced the same issue. That's the only way I got around it.
On the welcome screen, I guess where you select Language, tap on any empty space 6 times and your setup will be switched to enterprise enrollment or some type of enterprise management setup...
I just searched on google images for sample Android MDM QR Codes (images), then I scanned one with the phone and followed through with the setup.
That's how I got mine fully setup...
Of course, I intend to find a way to bootloader unlock it, unofficially, and flash out Tracfone firmware so I'm not worried... Just haven't been able to bootloader unlock unofficially yet... I'm still on here searching for a way.
