I created this Thread for general suggestions and questions and answers.people can put the useful links(for developement) over here
You still aren't allowed to ask for ETA's in either of the thread.this is just for questions and answers and NON-DEVELOPEMENTAL talks.
I read that fuss said he hasn't fixed bugs but i have some questions...
Does wifi work properly? I can't connect my phone with dhiru CM9.
And did anyone try SD card swap mod?

Connect to wifi manually (insert SSID, pass...) or try to disconnect and re-connect it
I installed this rom, it's fantastic(fast,stable etc.) but...:
1) When I want connect phone with my google acount I have: Sorry but Google Services Framework Aplication was stopped.
2)When I locked the screen, after 2-3 seconds it has low backlight(I have the same bug on Cranium KPM when my phone is charging.
3)USBMassStorage aplication works, but my PC doesn't see phone
4)YouTube has error:"You have problem with internet connection".
I think this is all buges I discovered today, when find more, I write.

For usb mass storage u can use wifi explorer if wifi let u of course

I have the same problems, but the USB storage works fine for me
Did you format to ext4 before flashing Dhiru's CM9?
It seems it solves many issues that missed in Alpha2
will be that rom support tv-out ?

the HARDWARE of I9003 is NOT CAPABLE to support TV out..nor does it hv d drivers to do so..
So dis question shud not even rise..

I have a problem. I flashed the rom many times and I flashed of many different ways (first alpha2, then infinitum; alpha2, alpha3 then infinitum...) and always I have a bootloop after some reboots.

Be careful with swap SD on this ROM. I had a problem when I did this. The bug was fixed, I saw a version of the rom with this problem fixed but in my mobile didn't worked

With the help of loSconosciuto, I present you this mod. The title says it all, the brightness behind the expanded notification drawer will dim. The extent of dimness will depend on how much you have pulled down the notification drawer.
Here's a preview video.
The SystemUI.apk has been attached.
Instructions:
Download the attachment.
Change the permissions of the apk to rw-r-r.
Replace in /data/sys-parts/app or /system/app/
Reboot.
Enjoy.

Hmmm... I can do that... But where should I create that thread? Themes and apps or the dev section?

I think maybe not... Most users are on cm9 or cm10. So no use updating it.
I did this but i got "Unfortunately SystemUi has stopped" Im on Codename Android 3.6.6 JB 4.1. I tried changing the permission its ok now, but when i connected the USB. This issue comes back and my noti. drawer is gone.

Its really stopping when i usb connect. The Logo that must show up when i connect usb its not showing up. Then the error is theere. I need to reboot and remove the USB.
i want to revert back. but i do not have the old systemui.apk. i loved this mod but how can i fix it? cant usb mass storage.

It has not been tested on ROMS other than CM10. Thats why it force closes. As for the original apk, I have not yet used or downloaded Codename Android so I cant provide you the original. Maybe someone from the ROM thread could help you. Sorry.

Currently I am on the Value Pack. So can't check if it's working on Alpha 3. If anyone could check it for me, it would be great.
Oh my bad. BTW. Please i really liked it but somehow i just reverted back. Got the systemUI.apk of my rom. I humbly request you to make it possible for all JB roms if you can/may? And also the one they requested? The lockscreen? Its so cute. It'll make my friends OH ****! LOL. Thanks! Great work.

How to flash :
Download rom manager on your 2.3 Gingerbread and flash Clockworkmod Recovery using it.
Download the latest Cm10 zip from link above
Copy it to your sd card
Wipe Data and Factory Reset
Flash it using CWM RECOVERY
OPTIONAL : Flash GOOGLE APPS ( Gapps )
Flash it and post all your results and bugs here
WIFI FIX : http://d-h.st/9ET
Flash it with any CWM RECOVERY and WI-FI will work.
For Connecting Phone with PC.
Open Settings
Click on storage
Press menu capacitive key and choose USB COMPUTER CONNECTION
Choose MEDIA DEVICE
and connect usb to PC
How to revert back to gingerbread?
Stuck at LG logo after restoring the backup?
Follow the steps :
Open the recovery
Wipe data and factory reset
Go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache
Go to mounts and storage again wipe data , then wipe cache , then wipe system
Now restore the backup or flash THUNDERSNAP ROM.
Go to advanced and FIX PERMISSIONS.
And reboot
It worked for me hope it will wotk for you also.

I Like the way you think often it only requires like two or three changes to make the roms compatible ie SU760 and P920

Agree. Every P920 rom I've tried works on my Thrill 4G. I don't even visit the Thrill section anymore.
Well.. Installing the ROM directly does not work though..
There is an assert script that runs at the beginning of the installation that verifies if your device is P720, from the build prop file..
If you hold an P725, this assert will fail and installation will abort..
The zip from the download is actually for P720 variants to install as such.. For the P725 users, there needs to be some mods done/script check removed such tht installation happens.
Its a heads up for P725 users to make a nandroid back up before you flash the CM10..

I agree with you but in some time we will have official CWM support from CYANOGEN MOD. Work is in progress. it is for P720 and will work on P725 and P720h also. So then it will not need edited to flash the rom .

Seems to be blazing fast and fun filled.. Used to the CM9 on my wildfire before, this seems to be like a JET.

Well. Make a nandroid backup first. If you wish to return to GB, restore the backup. Thats it.. U ll be back to GB..
I think wifi does not work in the latest nightly.. It accepts password - says connecting but then says saved..
USB does not recognize Mass storage, it only charges the phone.
There are other issues though, all are minor issues, once wifi and usb are fixed - it can be used as a daily driver.
But you may flash the latest CM10 to taste the goodness of JB.. Its really an awesome ROM

The 30 mb size will be of 2012.**.** folder but main data files are in blob folder

Wifi fix is provided by me in the first post. And for usb go to settings stotrage press meny key and select usb configuration and chose first MTP

what jellybean are you gonna use , JB 4.3.1 doesn't have robotic voice issue , try CM 10.2 beta 2 version

I have a problem with the RC1 build of cyanogenmod 11 : I have done all wipe as possible for clean my Htc pico. After that, I've done a partition of my sdcard and I tried to install the RC1 build, but he stay on the boot animation when I reboot my phone.
Is there any solutions know to my problem? I search since 3 days on all forum's, but my english is too bad (sorry:cyclops

Change your recovery to TWRP or philz then flash RC1..

I have TWRP 2.7.0.0 recovery, i done what you say on your thread but it dont works :/ it stay on the boot animation again.. :/

Switch to older version of twrp and try philz..
I have just redownloaded the rom, and installed twrp v 2.6.0.0 and it works!

Buddy first u should install rc1 cm11 then partition your SD card .

I have used many ROM and found that most of the 4.2 ROMs have a common problem that is of OTG.
So i request the devs or the experts to please provide a Guide / Tutorial for fixing the OTG Problem in any ROM.
Please please many of the users will be benefited from this.
@subhashdas Here is quick solution to fix otg in 4.2 roms..
download otg helper fromplaystore or another website
download root explorer or any other root browser
open otg helper app insert you pendrive and then click mount..
now go to root explorer and click storage
ur pendrive will be shown as usbotg1 or otg drives...
thats it....further you can apply patch for 4.2.x roms..

hey bro otg was working but everything else stopped after I flashedthe otg fix file
The fone recognizes otg but errors pop out everywhere.
Camera error
Android keyboard stopped working
Gallery also
The system launcher also

hey bro otg was working but everything else stopped after I flashedthe otg fix file
The fone recognizes otg but errors pop out everywhere.
Camera error
Android keyboard stopped working
Gallery also
The system launcher also
I had to restore my nandroid backup

i guess then go to xtreme rejoice kernal and try the otg helper .....it surely works...
let me see if i can make a patch for it....:silly:

hard disk .. i dont think so...even if it mounts transfer will take hours....

hey bro my canvas tends to heat up now a days. The battery temperature is always 29 to 35. This happens when I use an app or surf the net for just a few mins. However the battery is draining normally. I'm scared of the temperature bro and the fone heating up. I switched back to my 4.1.1 ROM but it's still the same
I uninstalled everything and still the fone heats up. I even underclocked it but Stil it won't work. Even when I open the music player it get heated up. Battery temp is 35. Is it because of the battery? please help. But battery status says it's good.

i think you should switch on to another kernal then try to remove battery for 5 mins and then reboot ur phone.
this should help...

bro I flashed 3.4.69
now the fone is not getting hot but battery temperature is still 30-35

Dear all devs i need some help.
I am trying to create an OTG patch for Bonds ROM Ex-Advance 4.2.
At present i have created a patch by modding Storage.xml inside framework-res.apk and vold.fstab.
after flash the patch the phone is recognising the pendrive and says "Preparing external storage" but nothing happens in file file manager nothing is showing. but when i take out the takeout the pendrive the phone notifies that the "External storage has been removed".
Please any one help.
Bro use any other file manager....like mifile explorer...the u can see otg drive

Hi All,
Recently root to Omni Kitkat rom 4.4.4 for my Samsung GT-N7000, but got the issue on the camera, keep asking me to insert an SD card before using the camera.
As my SD card already put in and also change to another one, still the same.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried getting inside sdcard using any file explorer app? Maybe your card slot has some issue?!

Hi Hell, I can use the sd card before root to KIT KAT Rom and I have tried to put my sd card to another phone, is working .
also another SD from my friend phone.... put in my Note1, not working...
Sorry, as I am a newbie, not sure is it anything wrong on my side....

Sorry, maybe not make my statement clearly.
I mean.. my phone Samsung GT-N7000 before root is a Gingerbread - everything is good... and the sd card is working properly...
but when flashed to the Omni ROM Kit Kat 4.4.4....my phone is ok and working quite good... except the Camera.. - Msg "please insert the SD card before using the camera"
I am wondering is it the common problem on Omni Rom...., any solutions?...
