First off sorry about being new to the forums and starting this way. I have searched many forums and been reading on this for the last two days. First here is what I started with.
HTC Flyer P512 16GB
HBOOT 1.11.0011
Here is where I am at. Tried down grading from 3.2. OK total fail and I'm not one to ask for help. Right now I have the tablet where it will boot to the bootloader and cwm for recovery. Problem is S-ON. Now that I understand what HTC has done and I can not just root this like I have everything else in the past. I have screwed up my htboot/recover/boot imgs. They are incompatible and I'm not sure how to fix this without getting my hands on another tablet.
I know i can flash the recover and boot images. If I got a set from another tablet of the hboot/recover/boot imgs would I be able to fix this mess? Any help I would make worth your time. I'm thinking of buying another tablet just to figure this mess out.

I have a Htc flyer wifi every time i try to use revolutionary it says i cant because its version 1.11.0011 so i tried finding the RUU to downgrade from Honeycomb which my version is:
RUU_Flyer_BrightstarUS_WWE_X.XX.1540.XX
I tried to download it from filefactory.com/f/dd1c2aacb4e9d3c9 but they charge for that size of file due to the amount of people downloading from their website right now that being the only website i can find it from (mind you i am a newb)
Does anyone have a clear method of how to S-off this device? I regret upgrading to honeycomb ever since i rooted my phone and would really wish to root my tablet.
So, what did you come up with? Did you s-off your device? I have a 1.11.0011 device too.
Re: S-off issue
I am having the same problem with 1.11 and trying to get revolutionary to work. I just got a used HTC Flyer from someone and only bought it so I could mod it considering how horribly it runs unmodded. Now I cant seem to get past the first step in process of rooting and flashing a new rom. So did you ever get it to work, if so then how? I am trying to search different forums on many sites but still come up with nothing I havent already found on xda. Im also having issues with my adb and fastboot not always working, sometimes its a go and other times its not. ever heard of this?
Hello XDA community, I'm sort of a noob when it comes to advanced things such as radios and kernals etc. I have a rooted HTC Aria S-On running CM7 but that's basically all I know how to do is easy simple things like what I've done to my Aria. But the issue is a friend of mine was trying to update his HD2 to an ICS ROM but (according to him) he wiped everything down to the MAGLDR. Radio, kernal, ROM etc. He basically has no idea what he's doing with it, most experience with this kind of thing he's had is clicking a button to jailbreak an iPod or two. What I'm trying to do is figure out how to get the correct radio and kernal for the phone, and install ClockworkMod recovery and CM9 on it. Any help would be appreciated
follow the guide below, should be what you're looking for. Mind you this is assuming your NAND and not running it from the SD.

Many thanks man, didn't find that thread during my searches. One more thing, Nandroid isn't installed anymore either, would that be just a simple search for a DL link for the HD2 and install through the USB flasher in the MAGLDR?
yeah it should be, if I'm understanding you correctly...worst case I would just go from start to finish from the guide below so I don't leave anything unturned. Follow this guide before following the the previous one (that one assumes you did this already).

Thanks again, happy I can return the phone without it being a $200 paperweight
lol no problem
Hi guys,
First and foremost, may I just say a big thank-you for all the information I've acquired over the past few days. It's been a great help. Unfortuntaely, I'm now after more!
I have successfully rooted my HTC Sensation and have S-Off'd and installed the Recovery Mod on the phone. This went fine, without a hitch.
I then tried to install the new Insert Coin 5.1.6 rom onto the phone, the install went fine but on reboot, the phone is in a constant loop. When I go back into the bootloader and try to update using the PG58IMG.zip and it just says 'CID Mismatch'.
Fortunately I made a backup of the image but when I go to resotre it I get the same issue. The original splash screen is back, but the infinite loop still exists.
I have a feeling I didn't flash the firmware to the correct version. The only thing is now, there's no way I can see of getting to the device apart from using a multi-card reader to access the SD card.
I'm also unsure of what firmware to use with this Rom? I've heard about editing the andriod-info.txt file to include my phone model or CID but isn't there one with my model already included?
Thanks for any help you can offer guys, I really appreciate it. I was really looking forward to trying these roms but I kinda messed it all up
Cheers
David
Can anyone please steer me in the right direction
Hope this helps

Sorry to put this here but first post after joining, and I can't post in the required section.
I have been trying to resurrect my bricked HTC Pico. I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048312 and found the rom to be very good and fast but one issue so if someone can let the developer know, After following all the instructions and installing the rom I can't do anything else due to it saying there is no more space even though I have set up the extra partition as ext3 before installing the rom.
Is that you IHATEHIPSTERSSS?
Anyways check out this thread

I'd factory restore the phone and start the process over. As long as the computer sees the phone when it connects.you're not bricked.
Sorry, don't know who you are talking about and I tried the RUU but get a certificate failure. As I said, I tried everything suggested, even a full factory reset.
Oh and I have already done the suggested with extracting the files from the RUU
OK I talked to another guy on a tech site last night who is new to the pico and flashing ROMs.
Its been years since I delt with an HTC device. Google around using 'certificate failure' in the keywords. Hopefully somebody had a similar problem and figured it out.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Thanks, it seems that because the phone was originally a T-Mobile phone, there are no RUU's that will go onto the phone because it won't accept a generic RUU. It would need to be a T-Mob RUU for the Pico, I have scoured the net but nothing so i'll just keep trying to sort the memory issue somehow.
Hi,
So a couple of months ago I managed to root my htc one to get the google play edition rom on. Anyway I kinda got sick of the rom and wanted to unroot my phone and everything so it was back to what it was when I first bought it. I tried looking around on youtube videos on how to do it but they mentioned something about needing an RUU and couldnt find the correct one for my device (im on O2 UK). So then i started messing around with the recovery mode and now I think my phones bricked as it keeps looping the 'HTC quietly brilliant' thing over and over again. I REALLY need help on this as I'm a complete noob when it comes to rooting and ive been looking around on forums and all the things they suggest to do made no sense to me at all so can someone please explain what i have to do now?
Thanks in advance

One this you could do is reformat the phones partition and then reinstall the stock rom on it. This occured to me on one of my phones and it seemed to do the trick.
