ICS Kernel w/ BLN - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Are there any kernels or roms with BLN support at the moment? I've been looking around the ICS kernels and roms and I haven't seen any with BLN support, hopefully I didn't miss it.

I'm with you I'd like to have it but unfortunately until source is leaked we will only remain stock

Bln?

Is there any advancement in bln support for 4.0.3 yet?

We need a custom kernel that supports BLN first which may not happen until the kernel source is released. I couldn't honestly tell ya.

I can lol. No BLN until source is released

Non kexec kernels?

Do we have any non kexec kernelsfor TW besides imo's?

I don't believe there is...everyone's hit the non kexec train....there a better kernel IMO.they're overclock able many govners and vtage tweaks to b had...

So imo's leankernel for touchwiz is the only non kexec one for our phone? The stock kernel seems to out perform the leankernel v.22. Battery life and over all performance is better on stock kernel. I guess I just want more choices. I don't find any benefit in overclockibg either. The dual core 1.5 ghz is fast enough. Cleanrom makes it even faster.

Lol. No he means IMO as "In My Opinion". Imoseyon is a kexec kernel. Currently there is no non kexec kernels.
Edit: I believe that Ziggy's new kernel in the latest Synergy is non kexec but idk if it plays nice with other roms.

Huh? The first line says it's a kexec kernel??
Edit: Nvm. Didn't know he had a new kernel out. 0.1 is kexec and 0.2.2 is non kexec.

Hi Pseach. I'm testing your test kernels now.

[REQUEST] - ICS / ARIES / Linaro ROM

Any dev's feel like making a new ICS or even 4.1.2 or something with the new aries patches, linaro tool chain, etc for us that really need GPS and like the new ROM's and features but can't ever stay back for long. I've been in the middle of nowhere and had to flash a ICS just to get a GPS lock. lol. Rather not do that everytime I need GPS.
Seconded, i really wish for an updated AOKP ICS with aries built using linaro toolchain. Right now I'm stuck using FBis' AOKP milestone 6-5. I tried all ICS roms here but couldn't find any better (that offers a plethora of customizations and tweakings) and more stable than AOKP.

Sadly, last time I checked the AOKP ICS repos were still borked :/. Unless we can get a good build tree it'll be hard to push updates for the ICS version of AOKP.
Plus isn't it Aries that breaks GPS, not JB? An Aries ICS ROM would still have broken GPS if I'm not mistaken.

True, I didn't think of it that way. lol.
I don't expect the GPS to ever work on the Galaxy S 4G.
I picked up a Galaxy S Vibrant, due to is being similar to the GS4G yet having "official" CyanogenMod support.
Well, even with "official" builds of CyanogenMod or AOKP, the GPS still doesn't work on the Vibrant. Any time the device enters deep sleep, the GPS crashes. You basically have to reboot any time you want to use something that needs GPS.
And while I haven't experienced it, others have said that sometimes when you use the GPS, it hangs and eat up all the battery (just like Aries kernel on the GS4G).
Samsung abandoned these devices (and their customers) at Android 2, I don't know if the GPS issues will ever get fixed.

Yes although Aries itself brings a lot of improvements. You can even do bluetooth tethering and USB tethering works too .
In the end it's a matter of what features you use. The stability is there for mostly everything though.
I heard there was a Linaro CM9 ROM somewhere in the Nexus S section or something. Maybe that can be ported?

It would be really sweet if someone could do cm7 with aries instead of the herring version we already have. Cm7 herring is pretty damn good and has gps etc working. Would it be possible?

What kernels support LiquidSmooth for the Verizon S3?

I tried it, and I loved it but I can't seem to find options of kernels I can use?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
All aosp kernels work with all aosp Roms.
Unless it's a 4.3 kernel. Liquid smooth needs a 4.2.2 AOSP kernel. Some of the AOSP kernel developers have moved on to 4.3, but will tell you which version of their kernel you need in their thread
