btw im on a g2x i just googled titanium backup insufficient storage and found this

Lost.Dir
I was having the same problem and started to delete all my music files and checked the size of the remaining folders. I discovered that my Lost.Dir was over 10 gig. I did a bit of researched and deleted the contents (after backing up the entire Sd card. All seems well at the moment

have you tried to Wipe Cache and Dalvik

Most of the no system space issues come From .odex residue files left out when the app is uninstalled/modified
So what you guys can do is go to
/data/app using any file explorer
(ES File explorer) and delete the corresponding "com.<app name>.odex" file And you guys are good to go now
PS: don't forget to hit thanks if my post is helpful

the path should be from root not /sdcard/data
(ESfile explorer the default is sdcard...so you guys need to do up once..then data ->app
its "/data/app" not "/data/apps"
you'll find lot of .apk over there..if not you guys at wrong path

This worked for me on my Galaxy Nexus, i was googling for a bit. I ended up having to search for *.odex in root explorer; but make sure to have it mounted as R/W (read-write)... this way it will find the culprit 'titanium backup odex' ... i also wiped cache and dalvik; but in the end deleting the odex fixed it.

This fixed it on my Bionic, been having problems for a while and only could fix it by wiping. I was thinking it could be residue left over, just didn't really know what to look for. Got Titanium Backup installed again, so I can backup my stuff

Why don't you try to install the app from play store and restore just the data of the app from titanium backup?

Where is located the *.apk folder?

Howdy all.
I was looking today to transfer an apk to my friend but unfortunately I don't know where they are stored. I tried to send him Linda file manager through the Share this app via the Market but you actually need data for that option. So I was considering to locate the corresponding .apk and transfer it via Bluetooth but no luck.
Can we do it this way?
TIA

I installed App backup & reinstall and it saves apps as apk files. There is probably another way, but this worked for me
Swyped from my HTC Sensation
If you have a file manager app such as root explorer just go to your data/app folder (its in the root directory of your phone) and all the Apps you've installed should be in there

[Q] /data empty

i botched a simple bootanimation.zip change. i also cannot find the steps i was following. i have a sensation ARHD brand new version. i chose a bootanimation i like followed the steps using the program File expert. i copied and pasted into, if i remember properly /data/local once i hit paste a prompt came up and i i saw that i chose overwrite accidentally, but i didnt get a chance to read it. in any case it didnt work rebooted/powered off my phone and now the /data folder is not showing and under system/ i believe there used to be a data folder in there as well. What did i do? where are those folders? How can i successfully change my bootanimation? im new please be gentle with me.
I'm going to help you
First thing I need to know before we go any further, Do you have a Nandroid of your ROM?
Sent from my Sensation using XDA App
Nope the only back up i did was with CWM and i know Nandroid is a backup but i dont know how to do it.
thanks for responding
there is no /system/data...there's /system and /data..
Are you having issues or did you just think something went wrong bc you cant find that directory?

A backup in CWM is a nandroid..In the old Amon recovery it was just called a nandroid and is stil typically referred to as that, but a backup in CWM is the same.
If the bootanimation didn't change (or changed to nothing), you probably need to set the permissions...This can be done a few ways, either thru the command prompt or a file explorer. You need to give it read and execute permissions..From the command prompt you should be able to run "chmod 777 /system/media/bootanimation.zip" and that should work fine
no issues thankfully. just believe something went wrong bc i couldnt find that directory.
Also try another app such as root explorer. Some of these apps have a hard time reading /data.
Edit: glad you got it... Lol posted while you were posting

Theres a free file explorer on here called "root browser" that works great.
I think the issue here is the file permissions.

Use ES file manager or Root Explorer and go to /data/app folder. Then find this file and delete it
com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup-2.odex
Then try the install again, it will work fine after that.

[Q] Words with friends

I am having an issue with installing it. It downloads fine and then starts the installation process but it gives me an error stating that i have insufficient memory. I am using link to sd and I feel that I have plenty. I have tried uninstalling my larger apps like Netflix but it still states the same thing when I try to install it.
There might be a odex residue of it in /data/apps/ (use any file explorer to go to that folder) folder.. The format of the file would be com.<app name>.odex.. Delete that and install the app agin

fml.:banghead: you should always make a nandroid backup using your custom recovery before messing with system files.
do you know what recovery you have?
what version is your hboot?
when you say nothing what do you mean?
completely empty homescreens not even the app drawer?
Could he push the backup of the build prop via adb?

Yeah, original build.prop file from the original ROM
Download your rom zip, extract the build.prop. Put it on the root of your sd card. Download aroma file manager and put it on your sd card. Go in recovery, install aroma file manager, find your build.prop in system and delete it. Navigate to the sd card and find your build.prop you downloaded, and paste it where the build.prop file was deleted. Usually it's in the system directory
Kind Regards
