[REQ] Themed Dialer + Contacts Tab Back - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

For the dialer, I was thinking, replacing favorites tab with contacts, and where the Visual Voice Mail button is, change that for a star and make that open favorites. I know you cant access the normal contacts, but hitting menu - contacts brings up a special contacts list within the dialer/phone app, so maybe you can still reference this? Hopefully that is a viable workaround. (also I guess move the VVM into the menu popup, since some people may want that feature, but imo a much less used one, again, only if possible)
And theming it all the way through with AOSP look, which I know has been done, but other themes would probably break the changes I'm asking for.
Thanks.
Example of what I have in mind:

Did you change your lcd resolution? Sometimes i have to set back to 240, restart, then it'll let me install. Or just Google the apk and download straight off the web.

Hi, anyone knows how the dialer + in-call screen and everything can be replaced with the one in the stock ICS? I tried exDialer... it's a good replacement for the samsung dialer & contacts, but when you make or receive a call the old touchwiz stuff comes up.
Maybe there's a way to flash the stock voice dialler using CWM ?
Thanks.

Nothing but ics force closes its different framework completely unless someone edits it

This is a great idea. I've tried ex dialer, but it doesn't do landscape. Dialer One does landscape but doesn't let you edit groups. I like the stock dialer but without a contacts button it just doesn't measure up. Now, if you can make the in call screen landscape then I'm in!

I'm not sure this install includes the apps, like Allshare. After reading and then searching,i didn't see any references to it. It looks like its just the shell. Can anyone confirm? I would hate to add any more bloatware if I don't have to. I only want Allshare.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Correct its basically just the launcher shell
Its the fully working launcher, if your saying it does not have widgets your correct but no launcher comes with widgets. I know the guy its working on getting the widgets working as well.
I like rosie and the widgets the best my self, but the launcher works well but way to much like a iphone for me.
I can't install any of these without getting an application not installed warning.
Is there a work around?
confirmed... the launcher works fine on the evo. kinda plain with just the message and app icon on the bottom but the app drawer is nice. time to jazzy up the home screens a bit
Im with u....keeps giving me the same errors. do the phone have to be rooted or something

Any way to add more than just the message and app icon?
yea i really need a link to phone if im going to use it at all. exited for the widgets though.
note for anyone switching between this and other launchers, make sure you close this one when switching back if you dont reboot your phone, it will drain resources and battery.
Yeah its easy to add more icons to the bottom as seen in these pics, just while app draw is open hit menu/edit and drag the icons down and also you can re-order the apps as well.

that is a totally different app.
Its meant to increase the quality of contact image ( ie to fix something google has screwed up big time and no signs of improving. )
What the OP wants is something like ASOP dialer which shows full screen contact in outgoing and incoming calls.
for that good dialer who manage to see picture with hi res, and no lag you can install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797698
Big Caller ID picture
I have just flashed this MOD and I must say I'm amazed
The mod was uploaded on XDA by user stgeo but the real wizard behind it is Italian user Juros77 on Androidiani forum.
I was a bit scared to flash this on AlianceROM 2.1 because I thought that it will not fit in such heavy modified theme as the one on Robbies ROM but it works great and it looks great.
Only downside I see right now is the absence of recording button but I believe developer will fix that in the future also.
The original thread of the MOD is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1920091
and the screen-shot of a phone in action:

FIND ACCOUNTS ON THE DEVICE
Allows the app to get the list of accounts known by the device. This may include any accounts created by applications you have installed.
READ SENSITIVE LOG DATA
Allows the app to read from the system's various log files. This allows it to discover general information about what you are doing with the device, potentially including personal or private information.
ACCESS EMAIL PROVIDER DATA
Allows this application to access your email database, including received messages, sent messages, usernames, and passwords.
READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY
Allows the app to access the phone features of the device. This permission allows the app to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call.

Is there a way to do this?

I was using BlackBerry 10.2 the other day and noticed a few things I liked and was wondering if there's a way to get them on the Nexus 5:
1. Ability to click on toast notifications (say of a text message) and respond on the spot without leaving the app you're in.. is it possible to do this on the Nexus 5 anyway?
2. Text message previews/calendar events on the lockscreen.. is it possible?
3. Split calendar to show calendar on top, schedule on the bottom (see pic below) - Any app that replicates this or option in Google Calendar?

1. The SMS app Textra let's you reply from anywhere without exiting the app you're in. I'm sure there are plenty of others that do as well, but Textra is what I'm using.
2. Yes. If you drag the lock screen left you'll move to another screen with a '+' sign on it. You can then add widgets there.
3. There's likely a ton of calendar apps for this but Jorte comes to mind as one that has a split view like that.

Thanks! How would you rate Tetra in terms of fluidity and responsiveness? Also, when a message pops up, is there a slight 2 second delay when loading the pop up after the message is received? I tried a similar app in the past and it bugged me that there was a delay when I saw the notification in the notification tray.
Textra has been pretty good so far through a week of use. No major lags, stutters or anything like that. SMS and MMS work fine. I'd say its as good as or better than the old stock messages app.
