So I have Hellfire sandwich 1.4 installed and have tried both faux and harsh kernel. My wifi drops the connection every 5 minutes or so. I thought it was my new router at first but my wife's iPad and galaxy s 2 don't have this issue. I have checked the setting to keep wifi on when screen is off. I tried changing the channel that the wifi broadcasts on and can't seem to figure out what's going on..... if this is a known issue I'm sorry for not knowing. Some of those dev threads have a lot of people posting ridiculous crap that its hard to read every post. Anyways, is it just me??? Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Hi I'm new here so i apologize if I have posted this in the wrong spot or if there is already a post about this (i checked and couldnt find one) Anyways, i'm having an issue with my SGS4G that drives me INSANE. It happens often. I will be texting or browsing the internet or something and the green arrow pointing up on the 4G symbol freezes. Once that happens im not able to do anything: send texts, load anything, use internet (pretty much anything consisting of data). I actually experienced the problem trying to load up XDA. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

i encounter that problem a number of times on the 4g connection. using edge never experiences the problem and i can also remedy if i switch networks.
Are you using Mobile AP by any chance when it happens? I've had my data freeze completely after a good amount of use via Mobile AP. Other than that I haven't noticed any issues.

Mine is doing the same thing it is very annoying :'( since I have started using the Bali 1.4uv kernel it happens less frequently. Now when it freezes I click back then reload the page i was on to resume browsing

Hey guys, i need advice. I got my headset exchange last night and ive been using it and ive already experienced the same issue. I checked what Mobile AP was and no i have never used that feature. Read up on the g2x lately. It is having lots of issues for lots of people. Tmo even pulled it off their website due to problems with alot of those phones. Random reboots, screen issues like light bleeds and discoloring, and other issues. Some are happy with the device with few of these issues others have had multiple exchanges and still report problems.
They say the gingerbread update will fix some of these when it comes out. I doubt it will fix the screen issues tho. That just sounds like an LG hardware defect. Bottom line do some reading before jumping on the LG g2x bandwagon.

My wife's iPhone has full strength while my infuse has one bar and drops data sometimes sitting next to eachother. I'm on infused 1.5.3. Is there anything I can do?

It's entirely possible that the infuse is giving a more accurate reading of the wifi signal than the iphone.

Yes I thought of that. But I keep losing data during this time. She doesn't. And I get a you should stay with iPhone smirk. I have 10 employees all on iPhone and 30 family members all on iPhone. So imagine the arguments I have LOL. The employees I tell to zip it or ill give them a blackberry curve.

Are you losing the 4G data connection or wifi? If you're losing wifi, download wifi analyzer from the market and see what wireless signals are humping that channel with your wifi, then switch your network to a less busy channel.
I did that and I get a wireless signal through all 3 floors of my house.
And as much as I enjoy mocking my wife's blackberry, she's dropped that thing a million times and half the keys are worn off, but it still works (somehow)...

I try and use my wifi at the house when I can but like you sometimes it just stops working even when I'm clearly in range. I usually turn it off and have to use my network. Pretty sad but the wifi on this phone doesn't seem to be its strong point.

Hello I'm running my g2x on an miui.us rom and my GPS literally takes fifteen minutes to lock Bo matter where I'm at. It always knows where I'm at on Google maps instantly but can never give me directions.I've tried the blister program and several gpsfix programs and NOTHING works. What else could bebwrong? Well to get directions you need access to the internet so make sure you have wifi on or have mobile data other than edge because that's "wiked" slow...(damn i'm going to college in those island and now i'm saying wiked)

Yeah that's the sad part I upgrades to the July 16 gingerbread bseband and its still slow as balls. I've tried.bloater and everything.I haven't tried manually editing the GPS config as I'm scared to mess it up. I might attempt to flash back to stock and wipe system a billion times to clear everything then reflash and see what happens bit I love miui.us too Mich and want to keep it...the inlet downside o have right now is GPS everything else is perfect

I searched but could not find the answer. What file are needed for WiFi? Can I copy ones from a JVQ rom to a JVT rom? My wifi keeps dropping out on Juwe's Smart Edition rom that I using Hellraiser 1.0 on.

No, it just randomy goes off. Its not my router. I think it has something to do with the rom I was trying to port. DlevROM wifi works great, so does this one if it stays on. Went off three times since I started typing this. I wonder if my data can shut of my wifi? I tried the wifi fixer from market , but no sucess.

I already tried the wifi fixing apps. No luck. I know its related to Juwe's Rom because it does not happen on DlevRom.
Help? I know it has something to do with dhcpcd and the wifi folder,kernel and probably something else, but I can't figure it out.

So i called samsung about this issue today because this is the 2nd infuse with same wifi issues and both were stock. This one now is rooted with dlev rom. Still same issue. I refer people to call samsung everyday for this issue when they call in. Samsung emailed me the shipping label to send via ups to the repair place. 5 to 7 days for them to fix it he said. Dont let anyone say its your router. Its not its the wifi chip in the phone.

yep me too. that was why I switched to another ROM. I liked all it offered but like most ROM posts the Dev's make on then move on to the next quite quickly so if the problem was not really addressed after a day or two, or with next update I moved on. As the ROM's come flying out, something has to give and you get to the point where you live with something or live without it. WiFi and bluetooth were major need to live with's
