Hello I'm running my g2x on an miui.us rom and my GPS literally takes fifteen minutes to lock Bo matter where I'm at. It always knows where I'm at on Google maps instantly but can never give me directions.I've tried the blister program and several gpsfix programs and NOTHING works. What else could bebwrong? What else can I dobthat might be successful? Please and thaank you I need to use my GPS everyday andbthisbis aggravating

Well to get directions you need access to the internet so make sure you have wifi on or have mobile data other than edge because that's "wiked" slow...(damn i'm going to college in those island and now i'm saying wiked)

Yeah that's the sad part I upgrades to the July 16 gingerbread bseband and its still slow as balls. I've tried.bloater and everything.I haven't tried manually editing the GPS config as I'm scared to mess it up. I might attempt to flash back to stock and wipe system a billion times to clear everything then reflash and see what happens bit I love miui.us too Mich and want to keep it...the inlet downside o have right now is GPS everything else is perfect

I installes voodoo and midnight rom for my mesmerizre. Now when I click turn on gps satellites under settings it makes me Force Stop the app every time. Any solutions to get my gps to work?

SGS tools has a gps fix, it can be found in the forums. It was made by Fr4gg0r. I haven't had gps issues but this could help. As always run at your own risk

As usual, if you have odd issues that other's aren't reporting - try starting over with a reflash. Flashing isn't perfect, so alot of times a re-flash will take care of these issues.
I've had some GPS issues since going to EA11 but i'm gonna try the newer ROM before I do a complete reinstall if needed. Foresquare never gets my location when I hit refresh lately.
When I switched to the eb16 pnp, I went ahead and installed a couple adons like the sgs touchwiz update and navigator apps from uscc(just used to using it). The gps is pinpoint accurate almost instantly unlike in previous the previous roms, and everything is super fast with voodoo

Hi I'm new here so i apologize if I have posted this in the wrong spot or if there is already a post about this (i checked and couldnt find one) Anyways, i'm having an issue with my SGS4G that drives me INSANE. It happens often. I will be texting or browsing the internet or something and the green arrow pointing up on the 4G symbol freezes. Once that happens im not able to do anything: send texts, load anything, use internet (pretty much anything consisting of data). I actually experienced the problem trying to load up XDA. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

Oh thanks i just make sure cuz ive been on forums where people FLIP if u accidently post in the wrong spot. But yeah i hope someone knows why or at least how to stop it. Only way to fix it id to restart my mobile network.

i encounter that problem a number of times on the 4g connection. using edge never experiences the problem and i can also remedy if i switch networks.
Are you using Mobile AP by any chance when it happens? I've had my data freeze completely after a good amount of use via Mobile AP. Other than that I haven't noticed any issues.

Mine is doing the same thing it is very annoying :'( since I have started using the Bali 1.4uv kernel it happens less frequently. Now when it freezes I click back then reload the page i was on to resume browsing

Hey guys, i need advice. I got my headset exchange last night and ive been using it and ive already experienced the same issue. I checked what Mobile AP was and no i have never used that feature. Heres what i need help with, shud i just stick it out and use it how i am or shud i trade/sell it on CL for something else like a G2X or a Sidekick 4G? Thanks guys.

Read up on the g2x lately. It is having lots of issues for lots of people. Tmo even pulled it off their website due to problems with alot of those phones. Random reboots, screen issues like light bleeds and discoloring, and other issues. Some are happy with the device with few of these issues others have had multiple exchanges and still report problems.
They say the gingerbread update will fix some of these when it comes out. I doubt it will fix the screen issues tho. That just sounds like an LG hardware defect. Bottom line do some reading before jumping on the LG g2x bandwagon.

What ROM are you using? I've been using 2.3.3 ROMs based off the OTA, and I've had no Data issues whatsoever with the new Baseband... But they still require a hard-reboot in CM7.

Can you provide a better description of the problem?
Its the data problem most people have, the data gets stuck with up arrow in 4g icon and you have to reboot or turn on airplane mode then turn off...
right now I'm using weapon g2x but I've tried a lot of them and have the same problem regardless of the rom im using...

Hello,
I am a Canadian Rogers customer and I just flashed my Infuse while in West Memphis.
Infused works great, but now it does not indicate that I'm roaming when I am. (If I go back to the stock ROM it shows I am roaming)
It would be fine except that it keeps data on while in the US and that will get very expensive.
Anyone know how I can fix this without going back to stock ROM?

As I am a noob at this, I tried what seemed obvious and flashed the Rogers modem.bin and it fixed that problem.

If this rom is suppose to have entropy's kernel in it is it the newest one? I cannot send long text messages being capped at 160 characters. Is there a fix for this?

Im pretty sure kernel has no effect on character limits...that's usually modem-check your modem version under settings if you don't have uclb3 flash uclb3 modem on it...should fix your character limit

Oh lol well yeah feel stupid now I couldn't remember if it was modem or kernel. But every time I flash something different in this if keeps looping me back to cwm instead of rebooting.

When the new version of this rom gets released, is there an easy way to get all of my settings and apps back without having to reinstall everything through titanium backup? Each time I flash a new rom, it takes forever to go through and set my homescreen and apps.
As far as I know, every time you flash a new ROM, you have to do a complete wipe so it doesn't cause any redundancy issues and slow your phone down, or FC's, Random reboots, etc etc.. However, if you're just installing a newer version of this, you might be able to get away with just wiping Cache and Dalvik Cache and not doing the "Factory Reset/Reset All User Data" which means you get to keep all your apps and setting with out causing any problems, similar to as if you were just flashing a theme, kernel, or modem. So as the user "Experiment" always says, Experiment.. lol.. I know I do, I like to see what can I do and get away with or tweaks I can do with out having to flood the forums with questions I can answer myself by just wasting a little of my own time.. lol..

It's not that big of a deal, just seeing if there is some other way out there.
When I installed this rom all my apps downloaded back up through Google I believe I didn't have to use titanium except to install a few like flip board. Weirdest thing never have seen it do it before at all!!

same thing happened to me! never seen it before.. kinda cool.. but it re downloads all the apps using up bandwith. I'm on the "unlimited" plan but it automatically re downloading those apps puts me closer to being throttled by ATT.. oh well.. I've been trying to use WIFI as much as possible.
I also flashed the B3 modem to get rid of the 160+ character limit
Me flashed that modem because I write novels when I text sometimes.. I am also on unlimited but use wifi most of time unless out and about
