Patch: I set up a patch for all devs. Applied to BCK sources, there were no problems. The device booted and a short test showed no bugs. The dmesg was clean.
It is made of a raw diff from both source trees with the following changes, which avoid unwanted deletions:
The param driver is not deleted
The j4fs driver is not deleted
The phone_SVN storage folder is not deleted
The LATONA.sh build script is not deleted
The CROSS_COMPILE path is unaltered
The patch is available on depositfiles.com.

Good, tomorrow download and testing.. good night

He is working on a kernel based on the source possibly!
Or a AOSP ROM
And, SWA should stand for South wEST Asia

Sorry man, but today not have time to test new source, my job need more time and free time is more less every day... xda_bam you view or tested the new source?

I will look into it in the next days. Overall, it looks like they got rid of a lot of useless files and made some changes to bluetooth, touchscreen and twl4030 code. But I will have to diff the files - maybe it's just useless cleanups, too.

In value pack there is touchwiz 4.0 or touchwiz 3.0?

You cannot use this patch, then - it's diffed against the CHN_Update1 sources.
I didn't have any problems with updating my heavily modified sources so you could just diff it yourself and make a patch. But, as far as I could see, there's nothing groundbreaking new in the SWA release.

Its still 2.6.35 right ? I wonder when Samsung will give us newer kernel sources :/

ok so i've been trying to compile a kernel since a long tym now and still ahvent been success full !

Hi, looks cool but is this for the motorola milestone? I looked at your sig and it says you have a Nexus One. Just confirming because I'm pretty sure people don't want to have the risk of bricking their beloved phones.
Looks really great though. When I wish to switch to Miui, I'll consider switching to this rom (if it is meant for milestone) Thanks!
Hi,
i have nexus one, but i cook for 11 devices, i use the miui in chinese lang release for each device and i add the portuguese translation, and i dont have so far any complain.

Take the files I attached, extract them, take LatinIME.apk and place it in system/app using Root Explorer (you will be overwriting one already) and do the same with the libjni SO file, place it in system/lib, then reboot.

It's a keyboard that DannyDroid and myself use in our builds of MIUI, it fixes the pixel density and has a 3-line input field in landscape mode.
Also, the reason why you lost all your applications is probably because there is no apps2ext support for this ROM, you would need to add 05mountsd and 07app2ext from system/etc/init.d from a ROM that has app2ext and place them in this ROM and reboot, if you're using an ext partition.

Here are the two files for app2ext. Extract the files, and place them in system/etc/init.d and reboot. First reboot will take longer, as it is transferring your apps over to the SD card.

The ROM itself already has the appropriate folders.. Are you doing this from your phone? Are you using Root Explorer?

I did your porting steps, didn't test yet cuz of no phone. but lets say everything went fine, after How would I be able to tweak the new rom(which I created, Thnx to you) for more stability, smoothness, and performance, aside from the graphic glitches.

I saw it too a couple of minutes ago, I may try it out this weekend. gonna do some more research to make sure which version of sense would work for us and things like that but if I get some free time I'll at least play with it.

oh sorry didn't bother to say anything, I messed around with it but it turns out that is only for porting sense to sense, like to put sense 3.0 on an older device or something.

First of all, I am from China, my English is poor.
Camera solution:
1.Revert the commit about offset in MemoryHeapBase, make MemoryHeapPmem binary compatible.(commit: f24c4cd0f204068a17f61f1c195ccf140c6c1d67)
2.Add Overlay stub to libui, make libcamera.so symbol compatible
3.Implement a adapter CameraHardwareInterface.h to camera.h
sample implement, this a snapshot of local git repo
all source based on aosp ics-mr1 branch
libcamera.so liboemcamera.so libmmipl.so libmmjpeg.so from 2.36.405.8
I code patch and hal last weekend, but I do not have time to do it better, but it can work.
my git repo github.com/zbwu, but don't include libcamera now.
enjoy~
hello everyone
Now is office hour
I will post the source and detail tonight(GMT +8:00)

You can found several libcamera wrapper, for example TwistedUmbrella is working on it, but this problems are HTC specific. I think it can be used in most of HTC devices.
Here's some examples:
E/HAL ( 1207): Cannot load library: link_image[2048]: 1207 could not load needed library 'libcamera.so' for 'camera.default.so' (reloc_library[1384]: 1207 cannot locate '_ZN8SkMatrix10setRotateZEf'...
It's the first test, you can easily pass it with some smart google search
Here's my step:
E/HAL ( 1203): Cannot load library: link_image[1965]: 1203 could not load needed library 'libcamera.so' for 'camera.default.so' (reloc_library[1314]: 1203 cannot locate '_ZN7android7Overlay5setFdEi'...
Here am I, I tried to make a wrapper to overlay::Overlay::* to android::Overlay::*
But i'll w8 for source... It will be faster

And for that, I commend you.
Someone give this man an OBE.

Please stop writing Chinese. Thank you!
Errrrrr I just had a quick glimpse of his github, this guy knows what he's doing and is pretty far ahead, everyones better off pulling his git compiling the whole thing and providing it as a rom, reason? youll most likely have wifi teathering aswell, I havent look at everything, but @OP well done!
It's promising, but it's not working me on CM9-KANG, i think, because of overlay (dummy) implementation... Or, I just need a full recompile... Dunno... Tomorrow, i'll try to implement liboverlay, maybe it's working... Anyway, it's a good start...
THANKS!

don't depend liboverlay.so
the overlay in the Overlay.patch.txt, patch it to framework/base
need full recompile,
in chinese
不依赖liboverlay.so
overlay 在 Overlay.patch.txt里面,在framework/base里使用这个补丁
需要重新编译所有东西

[GUIDE][HOWTO] Build an APK installer for your Tizen widget

I just posted this on the Gear 1 forum but i think that also the Gear 2 users need it.
Hi guys, i see many lovable clock face on this forum that is provided from the author in the wgt form. That file must be sideloaded to the watch with the sdb tool.
Now i explain how to build an apk that can do the works for you. Install and uninstall will never be a problem since all will be done automatically by Gear Manager.

2- import it in Eclipse like a normal android app;
3- In AndroidManifest.xml change the pkg name to whatever you like:
Code:
package="com.samsung.android.example.helloaccessoryprovider"
4- in res/values/strings.xml change the App name to whatever you like:
Code:
<string name="app_name">HelloAccessory(P)</string>
5- copy the wgt in the assets folder;
6- export like android app;
7- DONE!!!!

@Skin1980 can u try these aswell ive made these from the index.html , config.xml and icon.png then zipping as a wgt, putting into assets using hello accessory as the base, then exporting as an unsigned apk then ive signed one with apk signing and left one unsigned
ah, i noticed you kept the hello acsserory wgt in the assets folder, even when adding your own, i removed it ??? does that make a difference ?

you dont need change anything to finnish, it uses automatic that localization what is yours.. only that language.js file must be edited and that app name change there to "Hallinta".
no need any xml edits or other things.. just that finnish localization must be edited.
EDIT.: now i read it fully.. okay.. so maybe its impossible?

im trying again now on a fresh eclipse install
@Vihru
my god that was a lot of hassle, importing wgt to tizen sdk, deleting signature, renaming the language.js, modifying the icons, building the wgt, importing hello accessory into eclipse, editing, importing the wgt into eclipse modifying strings.xml and manifest.xml, exporting, then signing the apk, then uploading here
i hope it works
