I want to buy extended battery for my Galaxy SL i9003.
But the two most popular vendors i.e. Spider-foot and momax are providing extended battery only for i9000 with a battery cover. From the forum I have found out that the battery of Galaxy i9000 fit into i9003 , but does the back cover too?
If back cover of i9000 fit for i9003 then I can buy the extended battery from either of the two.
Thanks in advance !!
I don't think that the battery fits in i9003 but the back cover will not fit..i9003 is bigger than i9000
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA
The OP is right about the Battery size, they are exact dimensions but different capacity. But the back cover is a different story. The dimensions Of i9000 and i9003 are different. Back cover won't fit. Even if it does, it wont be perfect.

If you wish to buy a battery.
There are Miguen Batteries meant for our device itself.
And, I guess the back pannel of I9000 will fit i9003.
Because, I am using the 2430 MaH battery meant for i9000
with out changing the back pannel :/
thanks a lot guys for the info !!
@bangalorerohan
you meant mugen power batteries.
I was unable to find any 2430 Mah battery on their website and they are really costly !!
can you please provide a link ?

If Mugen is costly, You can try this.
It is comparatively cheaper .
It comes with two years of warrenty also.
Idk how much trustworthy it is.

There was one more 3000 mAh odd battery...
But, that would be a bit costly.
And, primarily, that came without warranty..
So, I guess this one is amazing!
Two year's of warranty can be found only with this batter (at the price)
You can test it out
2430 mah battery? That's amazing!
In any case, the batteries of both the i9000 and the i9003 are of the same dimensions as mentioned earlier. The back panels are most likely not the same. bangalorerohan probably didn't change his back panel because the 2430 mah battery he got is still the same size as the stock battery of both the i9003 and the i9000. Hope I helped!

The 2430 one is a fake, found a picture a month back of one that looks exactly like that for the Mini, after removing the "Gold" plating, they found a 800 battery, maybe this one is just a regular 1650 ..
Hello,
I bought this battery a few months ago; initially lasted a couple of hours more, but now lasts less than original.
I think the problem is that heats more, so it is degraded in a short time. Also appeared a small blurry spot on the screen, and looking on google seems to be precisely due to high temperature.
I still use it sometimes, but only as a backup battery for emergency.

It's fake, it lasts more because the original one itself degrades (slower than this because it's cheap).
So really, it's nothing but a backup battery that can't be even trusted.

doesnt look reliable.. but its mugen whi makes that battery. dont buy from tha website, go to the official mugen website.
are you having problems with the battery life for desire s?
experience says 3rd party batteries doesn't do justice... eventhough they have a higher rating, they perform more poorly than the orginal lower rated battery.
My battery seems pretty weak, one day of moderate usage, and it was gone, a little bit of everything, wi-fi (no more than 1 hour all day long), games, calls, camera, browsing through the menus, aprox 40-50% backlight only slightly above my average use...
how long should it keep the phone running for?
can't find reliable info on this, too few people have this device, I hope the comunity gets bigger

that's because it probably isn't as good as the original battery. it's from ebay and the fact that it's painted gold just makes it even more hard to believe.
You should always get a battery from a reliable company.

OEM batteries will give you best performance than Non-OEM, higher value batteries. Your Stock 1350 mAH battery will definitely give better performance than 1500 mAH non OEM battery. The battery drain problem is in the root of Android 2.2 Froyo, Install Gingerbread if you want more backup
Using ur cell wisely also helps
Reduce your screen brightness and avoid vibration whenever possible
Also Live Wallpapers suck up lots of juice
Using the FIT moderately gives a decent 2 days battery backup (on a stock battery)

How about calibrate the battery? Does it really works???
calibrating only show correct stats, it has nothing with battery life
Use android software for calibration. Calibration helps to see the real level of the batery. It is a good thing to wipe batery stats when you reflash ----from cwm.

Hello Guys,
I got this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANKER-1800m...495901?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4cfb97109d
According my usage :
Before I went back to work : 40 % max Battery remaining
Now : 70 % (easily)
Perfect fit in the original back case.
I have an intensive usage of my Galaxy S (3G all the time , phone call , internet surf )
I love this battery!
Battery Monitor says that is a 1500 mAh
Kr,
Jérémy.
hello jeremy
does that battery fit in with stock backcover or is it to big? seems like a good price.
edit: didnt see ur whole post i may order one thank you :=)
but i didnt get ur last part, do u mean that the battery is actually 1500 mah and not 1800?
Hello,
In battery monitor I see 1500. But much better than the original one (1 year old)
Jérémy.
You do know that Battery Monitor uses an user defined value and you have to set it yourself in the settings?
Settings->monitoring-> battery capacity
Or did you use it to get an estimated capacity (under calibration, "measured")
i bought one yesterday evening but it will take time until i recieve it but when i can tell how good it is.
actually i wanted a samsung 1800 mah battery but the ebay seller had none left..so i bought this one..half the price, 9$ + 5$ shipment ~11 €

its much better than my old standard 1500mah battery!
i just had the 2nd load-cycle, and i can use my phone heavily a whole day with cyanogenmod 7(i think with stock roms the battery use is better)
I used my galaxy one over one hour for listening to music, ~1h display time, 3g always on, a few sms and after 12 hours i have 50% rest, compared to my old battery this is great ;-) for ~14 $ --> ~11 € with international shippment
i would buy it again!

I recently bought two Pisen 1700mAh batteries from dx.com (Deal Extreme), and I've been very happy with their permormance.
Running CM10, Semaphore kernel with Deep Idle my phone easily goes two to three days of moderate use without recharging.
Battery drain during sleep is pretty much nonexistent, 8h of sleep results in max 2% drain.
Might be better stuff out there, but I'm happy, and they were dirt cheap

i guess this is the one http://dx.com/p/replacement-3-7v-17...msung-i897-i9000-i9003-i9010-i9088-more-93330
Although i found 3 more comparable (if anyone can give some opinions about them that would be great) :
1700mAh: http://dx.com/p/replacement-3-7v-1700mah-extended-battery-for-samsung-i9000-galaxy-s-132216
1800mAh: http://dx.com/p/replacement-3-7v-18...23?rt=1&p=2&m=3&r=2&k=1&t=1&s=132216&u=127723

After half year of usage i can say that the Pisen 1700mAh is a good replacement. Medium usage of the phone = 3 days of battery life, 3g internet on all the time, running JB4.2.
