Extended Battery?

Does anyone know if HTC will create an extended battey for this phone?

Hardly. Case is solid, there's no space for it.

I found this 1800mAh one. It is not made by HTC but it should support Desire S.

doesnt look reliable.. but its mugen whi makes that battery. dont buy from tha website, go to the official mugen website.

are you having problems with the battery life for desire s?
experience says 3rd party batteries doesn't do justice... eventhough they have a higher rating, they perform more poorly than the orginal lower rated battery.

My battery seems pretty weak, one day of moderate usage, and it was gone, a little bit of everything, wi-fi (no more than 1 hour all day long), games, calls, camera, browsing through the menus, aprox 40-50% backlight only slightly above my average use...
how long should it keep the phone running for?
can't find reliable info on this, too few people have this device, I hope the comunity gets bigger

1.1800mah seen it's not reliable
2.there is one movable charger in markey

any ideea if there is an extended battery for the phone connector? for sos when you remain without battery and desparate need the phone

it will be good to upgrade the battery..very fast one to drain up.
found somewhere samsung gs2 already come up with 2100mAh battery which is very good

Galaxy note, with a 2,500 mah battery!
But a huge 4.5" screen, Like HD amoled scrren, 1.4 dual core..
That will drain the large battry around the same as a standard phone!

I use this one as an emergency battery pack. Can highly recommend it. There are cheaper ones out there, but they usually break or don't meet the claims of their capacity...

that's because it probably isn't as good as the original battery. it's from ebay and the fact that it's painted gold just makes it even more hard to believe.
You should always get a battery from a reliable company.

nope, i dont think so ... people bought and checked this batt, they sad that its OK, better than original... i think that some problem is in controller, or ive done something wrong way at first time of using ((

OEM batteries will give you best performance than Non-OEM, higher value batteries. Your Stock 1350 mAH battery will definitely give better performance than 1500 mAH non OEM battery. The battery drain problem is in the root of Android 2.2 Froyo, Install Gingerbread if you want more backup

Using ur cell wisely also helps
Reduce your screen brightness and avoid vibration whenever possible
Also Live Wallpapers suck up lots of juice
Using the FIT moderately gives a decent 2 days battery backup (on a stock battery)

And where do u source a 1500 mah battery for the FIT from ???

Upgrading your firmware or installing a custom rom may help with the battery problems. Also kill the apps running in background ,if not in use .

How about calibrate the battery? Does it really works???

calibrating only show correct stats, it has nothing with battery life

Use android software for calibration. Calibration helps to see the real level of the batery. It is a good thing to wipe batery stats when you reflash ----from cwm.

No, is better buy a new battery when the problems apears.

Download Batery calibrator from playstore it helps it restarts your batery stats rom will correctly read your batery data

it happens with high end phones like S2 also!
every smartphone has same problem, there is nothing you can do about it until hydrogen batteries becomes safer for house hold gadgets like cell phones
buy Motorola RAZR MAXX if you really need a decent battery life!

yea battery drain is natural
I think these batterys are limited to charge and it damages
Only way is to buy a new battery
but you can use battery saver apps in idle times

Now : 70 % (easily)
Perfect fit in the original back case.
I have an intensive usage of my Galaxy S (3G all the time , phone call , internet surf )

You do know that Battery Monitor uses an user defined value and you have to set it yourself in the settings?
Settings->monitoring-> battery capacity
Or did you use it to get an estimated capacity (under calibration, "measured")

i bought one yesterday evening but it will take time until i recieve it but when i can tell how good it is.
actually i wanted a samsung 1800 mah battery but the ebay seller had none left..so i bought this one..half the price, 9$ + 5$ shipment ~11 €
i just hope anker batteries are really good

i assume it has the same size like the original samsung battery with 1800mah, which is slightly thicker than the 1500mah original battery but it fits under the original backcover

its much better than my old standard 1500mah battery!
i just had the 2nd load-cycle, and i can use my phone heavily a whole day with cyanogenmod 7(i think with stock roms the battery use is better)
I used my galaxy one over one hour for listening to music, ~1h display time, 3g always on, a few sms and after 12 hours i have 50% rest, compared to my old battery this is great ;-) for ~14 $ --> ~11 € with international shippment
i would buy it again!

it's not 2500 mah, I can tell you that for free.

If I have to choose between this two I would buy Anker because it has very good reviews so I would rather pay more for something tested and recommended.

by the way, what's the strongest battery that's available? 1900 mAh?

This actually is a very good battery. Been using for almost a month. I got a full day of battery use without charging with the Viper Sense 4.0 Rom. I would recommend this battery, provided that you go through the standard charging cycles and calibration methods :beer::beer:

After further testing on this battery, I got to say this was the best $9.99 I spent in a long time. Posted a screen shot below. Using Elegancia's latest Sense 4.0 Rom and Sebastian's kernel. I haven't undervolted yet.
Calibration Method: Go through standard wipe and install procedures for rom, once booted up, let rom sit for 10 mins then reboot. Let battery drain down to 10-15%, boot into recovery and wipe battery stats and reboot. Once booted up charge phone without break, wait till its 100%, then reboot while still charging phone. Once phone is fully booted and phone shows that its charged, unplug and there you go! :beer::beer::beer:

Little off topic sorry dont want to open a new thread : the mytouch battery works whit the sensation but ive seen one that was i think 2100mah will it fit whit the sensation ?

You don't do anything wrong if you choose the Anker battery. It's worth the money I spent into.

I have had the Anker 2x lost one of the batteries and the other went unstable on me after a little over a year. Now, I went to go buy a new set and I ran into these batteries review looks good but is it false ad or legit if any one knows. Sorry to hijack thread but I dont wanna post a new thread. :fingers-crossed:

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents into the mix...
I have my 1900 Anker about a year and 6 months now and its good for 2 days without charge. In my opinion if it blows up in the morning its the best $8 I spent and that was 18months ago. Theres too many of them out there and in daily use for them to be a bad battery!

New Battery Required

Hello I live in Karachi, Pakistan and using my galaxy for about year ever since I jumped to ICS the battery is awful I could barely WIFI 1hour or internet surfing.
I am looking to buy powerful extended battery with a range of $15 to $20. can anyone recommend me a battery?

I bought a 1800mAh battery from Polarcell a few days ago on ebay. Same size as the original 1500mAh battery so you dont need an extended back cover.

+1 for PolarCell
This 1650 mAh is also good, it's meant for the I9001 and I9003. Original Samsung battery...

I recently bought two Pisen 1700mAh batteries from dx.com (Deal Extreme), and I've been very happy with their permormance.
Running CM10, Semaphore kernel with Deep Idle my phone easily goes two to three days of moderate use without recharging.
Battery drain during sleep is pretty much nonexistent, 8h of sleep results in max 2% drain.
Might be better stuff out there, but I'm happy, and they were dirt cheap

I have the 1800 from Anker and it is still good after 6 month.
Take longer time to charge on usb or car adapter, but it is bigger... so probably normal.

i m using samsung galaxy gt i-9000.
I want good battery for my mobile.
