[Q] Nordictrack Treadmill 10" tablet (What next) - General Questions and Answers

I've recently gotten into the base android system of my treadmill's tablet. I haven't installed gapps yet, but Z4 root works for permanent root on this device. I wanted to report some info and ask where do I go from here. I want to know if this thing even has a recovery. Attempting to reboot into it results in a normal boot. What device does it resemble? What more info is needed on this device to go forward etc for gapps maybe custom roms.... idk....

I too was able to root my NordicTrack C1750 with 7" display using Z4 Root, I then installed Smart Taskbar 2 in order to easily access Apps, and Wireless ADB. I was also able to find a older copy of Pandora that would install and work:
mediafire bxtya2jor7zvd3e/Pandora.Radio.1.5.7.Android.apk (sorry, can't post links yet....)

seriously... Windows linux you say? That I'd like to see. Linux linux would be a start...
IMO the life cycle of these devices is to short for it to be worthwhile developing ground-up OS's, but I know very little about this. Obviously there are WM device-linux projects about, but although the prophet's a nice device, due to it's limitations (cpu etc) I don't imagine too many devs with an interest in linux are flocking to develop for it. I'd be happy to be corrected, though...

I search very for it, and i get it a few. I known that PDA Wizard have OMAP processor too, so I think that it's possible to run this in ower s200.
Download haret and copy in your PDA in /STORAGE/PROGRAM FILES/HARET/ run haret_omap.exe in you Windows Mobile and it's run GNU/Linux

opie needs only minor customizations to run on another device.
IMHO it's more important to make SD and the touchscreen run.
Can you dump the TS and SDHC dlls from the device ?

No, I can't access to SD memory or I don't know do it. I try to mount /dev/mmc.... by say that it is not here.
I will try to compile de kernel with SD and MMC options ...

Look in your logfile, you already have them. And the MMC/SD init command times out

You need connect your s200 in USB port and since your computer run

I dont't try it in windows, but I suppose that you have to run GNU/Linux in the s200 connected to the USB, Windows detected it as network interface and you configure it with IP 10.226.6.1 and netmask 255.255.0.0.
Then with putty conect to ssh at [email protected] with password root.

Ok, i've checked with the wince dlls, the MMC/SD driver is ok.
What you are missing now is the card power gpio, card detect gpio and the irq.
Take the latest haret from http://handhelds.org/~koconnor/haret
read the docs and trace gpio usage.
To know other gpios would be useful too.

I read, read, read, ..... but..... What is the problem to detect de MMC?? haret or the kernel???
The new version of haret can't run it in s200, do you have the configuration in default.txt file to run it??

i did not understand what am i supposed to do with harret_prophet.exe

NeedHelp:screwed up my g1,cant finished boot

It just loop on the green sparkling robot.
What I did is just modifying TC5-RC8 update.zip with test key, and do the update as normal.
I've been using RC8 for couple days since it's been released and no problem.
After this problem occurd, I've tried to re-flash it to the origianl TC5-RC8 update.zip which released by JesusFreke. BUT the problem still.
My guess is flash recovery.img when booting due to some hardware issues.
Need Your Help.
I finally do a update to and old version of my modified TC5-RC8, the phone booted.
The bad news is I do recovered it to factory mode, so I need to login to Google account again.
Unfortunately, when I finished the Login, and ready to press "Finish setup" and move(dont know how to express in English that movement, the screen is open, what I do is close it so it covers the keyboard) the the screen, and exception occured: "com.google.process.gapps has stopped..."
Don't know whether google will check its own sign or not, im using the test key.
And, I can do adb shell, this is the ps:

MTK 6592 Touch Screen Bricked ?

hello i flash my drivice mtk6592 ( star n3+ ocracore ) with a same rom.
is not first time to i flash rom, but dhis new phone worked just a 30 min
after flash my touch screen dont work . and imei ( imei fix ok)
i try so send a lots rom , rom accept never found error . same my touch screen dont work.
and factory rom no success.
maybe i need to edit scatter file?
maybe my touch screen is bricked?
maybe my touch screen have hardware problem?

same happened to me too. i've tried removing the digitizer, but i don't think the problem is in digitizer. when it's connected i can see touchscreen: ili2113a in factory mode. when i disconnect the digitizer, i can see touchscreen: (null)
so digitizer should be working. i've tried flashing like 15 roms, but didn't manage to fix the problem.
anyone found a solution?

active data logger in internal memory

Firmware A11 and new updated A13 Europe Version.
I have a *.txt which permanently stores every opened app internally with timestamp and other code unknown to me. After the deletion it will be created again immediately.
The exact name of the file is: proces_reclaim_info.txt
and is located in the internal memory in the main path.
The internal logger for problems is off [*#800#], so that can't be it.

I have the same problem as you,You delete it and then it reappears, honestly it seems to me that you send a lot of data, and this thing bothers me a lot... I'm thinking of selling the phone because this reason...
