Have you tried leaving yourself a voicemail and then checking it?

Just tried...still there

Call T-Mobile. The issue is in a DB on their side.

Why not run 1.4?

Got it. Called myself again and it worked.
Thanks!

Occasional calls not connecting

so I love my cappy.
but sometimes, probably 1/10 or 1/15 calls I will hit call someone, It will say calling them, then a few seconds later it will not call them.... like it cant connect to the towers or something, this is when i have service... I dont really ever drop calls when im on the phone, but sometimes they drop before the call is made...
reasoning for this or fix?
THanks
JL3 modem if that matters.
Someone downloading torrents or streaming HD movies got priority over your phone call.
I'm sure thats not what happens

This is a tough one since I'm sure there are a number of factors that might cause this. I did however have a similar issue as you. I changed to a different modem and cleared cache and dalvik cache and it seemed to have fixed it cuz it has not happened since. I'm not sure this will fix your issue but it's worth a shot. Good luck
IM Now on JL2 I believe with same result. 1 out of every ten or so calls doesn't connect. How do I wipe those caches?

Just boot into recovery and select "wipe cache partition" and then go into advanced clockwork menu and select "wipe dalvik cache"
It might just be AT$T being crappy like normal. This has happened to me on a dumb phone, a BB and this. I have used a few different modems with the same results
Does this happen to yall every once in a while when someone calls it comes through but I can't hear them and they cant hear me like it actually isn't connected.
No, I don't recall the not being able to hear the caller or them me problem.

Have you tried JK4 yet? I've had good results running that modem. If you decide to flash jk4 wipe both the cache's again before you flash. If that still doesn't fix it maybe just try going back to stock and re flashing the rom again. If you haven't already done so, try installing sgs tools and using the secret code section to see what your band selection and gsm status is like.
Haven't tried jk4 yet. Tryed clearing caches, still did it today.

still not working? The only other thing you can do at this point is try going back to stock and see if the problem still persists. If it doesn't it might be a hardware issue.
There is a new Bell modem out that everyone is saying is pretty good, you never know it might just fix things for you here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876391 its the I9000UGKC1
Thanks. Ill try flashing a new rom later. If so then back to stock for a bit. Any more ideas?

Doesn't do it on stock. Tested it for a day, probs 30 calls. So any ideas? I contacted rom dev.

Mobile data problems still...

Ok, I know I have complained about this before but when I am connected to mobile data I do not get what I am supposed to get.
I don't get "H" "4g"or "3g"all I get is
"1x"and "E"which sucks because the speed blows.
All I would like to know if there is a fix for this because I have had 4g with the stock rom and now I am on cdma which is odd
I also cannot select a band when I go into the "*#*#4636#*#*"menu -> phone information -> menu button-> select band
What I get is a "select [unsuccessful] (whichever band) message and sometimes a force close.
I don't know what to do any more because I made sure that the apn settings were correct and that I was connected to a tmobile network provider
Someone help please help me
Thanks in advance, googleme1

I would like to know this too because all I get is edge. If I reset connections, my phone picks up 4g and within a minute I'm back on Edge. It sucks. But what are the correct settings for above as I am using CM7 RC1.

Try to get a baseband switcher. I'm on the defy and that did the job.
Sent from my MB525 using XDA Premium App
Well the g2x is relatively new and from my knowledge there isn't any basebands for it as well as radios...although there are some for the
Lg o2x which will probably brick my phone

Sorry that no one has attempted to answer your question. I've ran into this exact issue before. Redownload the rom and reflash it again. Once the phone boot up do not touch the phone for about 5-10 minutes! This step is important! Let the software settle in. Once its settled in then reboot the phone and then wait till your carrier (T-Mobile) pop up and then unlock the phone and depending on your area's coverage you shall now have 3g-4g signal.

T-Mobile is undergoing technical issues from a phone call I made over to them. They said that they are working on resolving the issue ASAP and that it should be within a couple of hours.

Your welcome and completely restart every single step you took to get the rom on the phone. That includes redownloading the rom and then reflashing it and just wait 5-10 minutes once it reboots. The reason why I say redo the step completely is because it could of been a bad download, a bad flash or just that you didn't give the software sometime to settle so to eliminate all possible issues do the whole step over completely!

[Q] I am on gb 2.3.3 rom. Gps constantly active

I am running infused gb rom 2.3.3 and I notice my gps icon flashing 90% of the time I use my phone. Even when I shut the gps icon off it still is flashing. Anyone else have this issue? I should not have any application checking this this much.

This has happened to me a few times, fixed by a reboot. I was wondering the same thing. Closing all active apps changes nothing either.

Yeah I've definitely rebooted many times. It's been happening for a bit now.

I'm thinking it's my HD widgets app. Downloaded it and never even ran it before but kept running in the background. Closed all apps and as soon as that one started running again it was accessing gps. Uninstalled. No app should be accessing that that much especially when I've never even ran it before.

XDA Premium App gone?

So today I checked my home screen and noticed my XDA app was missing, then checked the phone and turns out it was completely uninstalled out of nowhere. Check the market, it SAYS "Purchased," go to Install/download, and it fails and tells me it failed because I haven't purchased the app... Really getting annoying. Anyone know who I can talk to about it? I have the receipt for it in my email still.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
EDIT: Solved............. I'm an idiot. Downloaded it through Amazon, not the Android Marketplace, hahaha. Dumb mistake.
Maybe try clearing market data /cache
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Nope. Nothin. :/ Have no idea why it just wiped itself from my phone... Regular one works great, but it was definitely nice having the premium.

Have you dropped the scaling down. And shut off the higher oc values? Typically that kind of thing is result of pushing the phone too high.

I agree with eollie, only time I've seen what you described is when I tried overclocking to 2ghz!

i used tegrak OC back when it didn't have the run for a minute and see whether stable option. And I had set on boot, OC to 1.65 just to see what happened. It turned on and then blurry freeze. Had to clear cache, and dalvik. Surprisingly, it worked.
