yeah but u don't really need it, from what I've been reading gps lock under ics has improved, as well as the bluetooth stack, which REALLY needed it

Hmmm I used agps for gb and when I flashed ics and tried to lock GPS I immediately noticed how long it took to lock so I flashed agps and its much better now. As for Bluetooth that's great it was such a pain to use

Does anyone know if they increased the bluetooth bitpool for better quality for streaming music? Or does streaming rock music via bt still sound like crap? Only reason why I haven't flashed from CM7.

Guess you missed this part of the AGPS thread.
crypted said:
All threads have had an overhaul that was way overdue.
High points:
Note discussion of what the patch does and what it replaces.
Note confirming ICS support from various users.
Note section has gotten long, but covers most questions I am repeatedly asked.
A total of 9 officially supported new devices.
Download section reminds people to backup their settings. You only need to backup /system/etc/gps.conf and /system/etc/suplrootcert if you have one. But, I never had to revert!

Yes works great I'm using agps 3.1 and used it today without any problems. On mhx rom
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium

I actually got worse performance with it slapped onto my phone running the ICSMOD5 rom, gps would report the location I was at 24 hours ago, or it would report the correct location, or it wouldn't even lock onto a satellite.

Completely different, America is CDMA, mostly everywhere else is GSM, different board design unfortunately, so needs different libs/kernels etc..
What are you getting yourself into adam lol. I think you need to ease your workload our you will kill yourself!
Maybe less frequent updates to open desire now its at its most stable?
Good news here..
I was having a little bugginess with the stock launcher but launcher pro is working flawlessly. Sdcard, bluetooth, and camera aren't working. I tried some other camera apps but they all go to a black screen and semi-freeze up the phone. It also has "roaming indicator on" as the network but if I go into phone info, it says I am not roaming. Trackball is working fine as does track ball to wake and unlock. Graphics are still a little glitchy. Otherwise, it's working great. Battery went 2% an hour (maybe a bit more) with minimal use.

Is the download link currently broken? I was hoping to test tonight.
Also...if mass storage doesn't work, how would we go about reverting to our backed-up ROM if this should not work for us?

You do it in recovery, I'm hoping to push a new build soon with some bug fixes, its going to take time to get this working fully seeing as I dont have a uscc device to hand.
Seriously Adam, you're crazy to take on yet another workload
We all greatly appreciate your devotion, time and work put into making OpenDesire.
Let's all donate a yearly supply of beer to Adam

Awesome. I'll keep watching. I'll definitely download it and try to report any bugs that I find.
A couple more bugs: you cannot force Google Voice to be your default voicemail. I think this may have to do with "Roaming Indicator On" showing up as the carrier. Also, trackball to wake only works while usb is plugged in.

MOD EDIT: As of November 7th CoreDroid officially moved all its support to another site.

NO need is not mandatory.
For those of you that have an inspire 4g and havent rooted yet, today would be good day to do that. The roms are coming starting today. Just flashed this core droid 2.5 rom, mainly cause i love having battery circle mod, and just loaded setcpu to 1.22 gighrz overclock and im now getting 45+ Mflops and 2500+ quadrant scores. Audio working without flashing stock kernel and youtube and other media streaming apps now working aswell. Today is a good day!
Just flashed this ROM..everything is working so far but the audio is tinny
Hoping anyone can post their results with the Rom and if the following is working:
WIFI
Bluetooth
HSUPA Enabled
Hotspot Capable
Audio Quality Okay
Also is an additional Kernel required to get it working on the Inspire?

WIFI - Working
Bluetooth - Working
HSUPA Enabled - Yes
Hotspot Capable - Yes
Audio Quality Okay - Small amount of static on my end but my girlfriend said everything was perfectly clear from her iphone (I haven't tried any other radios or kernals yet except the telus kernal which worked flawlessly)
EDIT: didnt see your last bit, to answer your question, no you don't need additional kernal, all set after flash

The in-call audio is definitely tinny for me. It sounds like the speaker is shot lol. I've had this problem with all the ROMS I've tried and I always end up going back to stock rooted where the audio quality is perfect.

It doesnt actually use bluetooth. Its just that the chipset that does the bluetooth is the same chipset that does the fm radio. So what its doing is enabling the chipset which means bluetooth gets turned on. But the bluetooth signal doesnt actually have anything to do with the fm radio. This is why you have to have a headset plugged in; the phone uses it as an fm antenna.

The CM series (CyanogendMod) does not have HTC Sense. It is built from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source.
Yes it is de-oxded.
Yes it supports both Froyo Apps2SD and DT Apps2SD (EXT2/EXT3 support).

[FIX] Wifi dropping on Gingerbread Sense ROMs

Removed. snq- will provide a new fix soon that should be more kosher than my workaround. Looks like the proper fix needs to be built into kernels.
gtg465x said:
A lot of people have been asking me for this so hopefully this will satisfy everyone.
If you don't already know, HTC programmed their Gingerbread ROMs to drop wifi connections if the signal falls below -88dBm. I'm not sure why they did that because -88dBm is a perfectly usable signal. With this fix, your wifi connection won't drop until the signal falls below -108dBm.
Select the correct version for your ROM and flash through Clockwork Recovery.
If you appreciate my work, donations of any amount are very much appreciated.

I noticed it immediately when I first flashed a Gingerbread Sense ROM a few weeks ago. My router is in my basement so wifi was practically unusable in some areas of my house. I spent a whole day researching, looking through code, and trying everything under the sun (including changing settings on my router lol) just to get this fixed. I've actually had the fix for a couple weeks now but just recently realized that all Gingerbread Sense ROMs have the issue.

That's what I am hoping. In the meantime, I can tolerate remapping my brain for a while to have overclocking. I wish I knew what I was doing with programming things. I haven't programmed since Commodore and Apple IIe BASIC stuff back in the day. If it's just a matter of changing a few lines of code, I'd be happy to dive in and move things around to get the keys mapped correctly.
I just got a Quadrant 2063 with 1500mhz. The phone is running very well, no lags at all. I'll keep running this and keep you all posted.
