[Q] mz601 battery drain - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody,
I bought a 3G MZ601 zoom about 6 months ago and everything was fine with it. After a few months, i put Eos stingray and wingray on it to try ICS. They worked fine except for the battery life which drained at about 3% an hour even with everything (wifi etc) turned off.
When Eos everest came out, I put that rom on it and have since been updating it with the nightly updates, but the battery problem still exists.
I returned the xoom back to stock a few days ago, but the drain is still here, even with everything (wifi etc) turned off.
Has anyone had the same issues as me, or does anyone know how I stuffed up the battery life on my xoom?
thanks for your consideration

Experiencing similar issue here on MZ601 ics 4.0.3 battery drains realy quick!
What i noticed was that on android 3.2 system was taking about 6 % of battery now on ics it takes 22% its a lot...

so no one has any ideas?
could it be that its just a dodgy battery?

hi,
i don't think it's a dodgy battery as I'm experiencing the same issue on my currently rooted MZ601 - on EOS nightly 58 at the moment...
cheers.

[Q] Razorclaw-rooted Transformer 3G and battery iussue

Rogers SII battery issues - radio the cause?

I have an issue I’m trying to resolve on my Roger’s SII.
I’m running aokp milestone 6 with instigatorx’s kernel v4.0b and everything was running nice and smooth without issues. But I wasn’t getting the best signal so I updated my radio.
I updated my radio to the Roger’s stock ICS radio from the Embryo 4.1 post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1754473) and have noticed a huge decrease in battery life (basically watch the battery percentage tick down). I also noticed my phone is now getting really warm to the touch.
I flashed the Roger’s stock ICS radio from Seanzscreams and same issue.
I flashed back to the GB radio in the Embryo post and same issue.
So I’m not sure what I screwed up but it’s annoying when you’re phone won’t last a day or even ½ day.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I’ll keep searching in the meantime for a solution….
Thanks.
**EDIT**
Turning on Airplane Mode stops the phone from discharging rapidly and my battery stats indicate that Phone is consuming the most power. Not sure if that helps.

[Q] xoom EOS3 144 battery life

I've noticed that the battery life of eos3 isn't even close to what I got with eos2. also, i've noticed that, even with my tablet sitting idle, the android OS process is at the top of the battery list whereas the tablet idle process is number 3 or 4.
is this just a symptom of nightlies? or is this a jb issue? or am I doing something wrong?
note: i performed a full wipe, clean install of nightly 144
It depends, my XOOM on EOS JB can last a whole week easily with Wi-Fi on and moderate usage.

CM10 with 4.2 Gapps - Battery Life

I find that the battery life is really bad using recent CM10 nightlies. I'm wondering if this is because of using 4.2 Gapps along with it. Has anyone else had any problems with that? There are always wakelocks, and BetterBatteryStats seems to be sh!t these days as well, as it never gives me any details anymore. I lost over 15% overnight in 7 hours when earlier I would only lose about 2%.

[Q] Liquid Smooth 2.6.1 nightly black screen

Hi,
I have been running liquid smooth's 2.6.1 nightly build with the kt747 kernel for the last 24 hours or so on a brand new Verizon Galaxy S III with no problems until this morning. I woke up with a full charge and used the GPS to get to a meeting this morning and noticed some pretty drastic battery drain that dropped a full charge to to around 20% from 6 am to about 10:30 am. The next thing I knew, I went to check my phone and I can't get the screen to come on, it just vibrates once when I press the power button. Have I killed the battery or even something worse? I'm currently letting it charge to see if that fixes the problem. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you drained the battery. I am also having battery drain issues but with Liquid Smooth 2.5 with kt747 also slow battery charge issues.
I left liquid smooth because of battery related issues I started having. Still probably my favorite rom.
