I currently have a clean sprint tp2 cdma that i had bought used online and i also have an account with boost mobile. i have read and studied many of the techniques from this site and others. My problem lies with the boost cs rep. they will not for nothing activate this phone and i am getting extremely frustrated with this step. I wanted to know if anyone could help me with what to say or how to go about talking on the phone or anything that would help so i can get my tp2 working on boost network. Thank you in advance

sprint tp2 to boost
i am stuck at boost csr and i need help.. i have a sprint tp2 trying to get to boost i checked to see if i have a clean esn and i do and i also read many blogs/forums that are well respected keep getting shut down. need help badly
I called today and swapped from my mogul to a TP2 I got on ebay, the csr asked my what kind of phone it was, I said I didnt know, she asked what the meid was, and once I finished giving it to her she said well, this is a sprint phone but I can activate it anyway you just might not get data. She proceeded to activate the phone, give me the msl and walked me through manual programming (##MSL#, then type in min and mdn), the phone rebooted, she had me try a test call to *611 and it worked, sent me to boost, we hung up and I tried going online, as soon as it tried connecting, it said updating prl, then updating profile, then the phone rebooted, and everything works.
just for the record, this is the sprint tp2, they will not activate a verizon or alltel one. I had mine running the stock rom, just experimenting earlier, I tried doing a ##786# reset in energy rom and it worked but then didn't reprovision, flashed the stock ruu and on boot up it did a profile update and connects fine again.
I have a Sprint TP2 on BM (BoostMobile) but a neighbor has an Airave which is an internet connected mini cell tower to enhance local cell signal. When I'm in it's range, I get an error message asking to move out of it's range.
Has ANYONE been successful in getting a Sprint TP2 on BM to work thru an Airave????
At this point I don't think it's possible. Please confirm or contradict.
Thanks,
Rodney
I have an Airave. It has an "allow all" or "restrict to" list that is controlled from the owner's My Sprint website. As I understand the Airave, if you "allow all" it will allow CDMA carries, including Verizon and US Cellular, to work. Matter of fact, Verizon has the exact same guts in its own femtocell, both OEM'd by Samsung, but I can't speak to the administration of it; working with the administration of the Sprint one is bad enough.
My suspicion is that your next door neighbor has only "allowed" Sprint numbers. Also, if he has the consumer subscription, he is limited to 3 simultaneous users. Sprint Airave customers CANNOT allow a competitor's phone number SELECTIVELY. It's either wide open or ONLY available to Sprint numbers up to the limit the unit is programmed to allow to access it all at once.
If your neighbor is married, has a cell phone for them, their spouse, their children, business cell, etc., then those 3 slots in the Airave will fill up fast.
I don't know how to tell you to block that Airave Femtocell unless Sprint can go into your phone and have it "ignore" his "tower".
Oh, yeah, I am assuming Boost uses the same CDMA frequency set, but it must if it's kicking you off your neighbor's Airave
I know there is a problem with Airave v1 where it will never allow a Virgin Mobile call, maybe its the same with boost too.
Airave v2s are out now, lets hope they have fixed that.
Can TP2 on boost mobile connect thru Airave
My TP2 on BM is unable to connect thru an Airave, EVEN if it's ON the allowed list. I installed an Airave to override the neighbor's. Still got the same error message. Called Sprint Airave support. They went thru various diagnostics and then finally said it's up to BM. Called BM advanced tech support & they said they had no instruction manuals to walk me thru setup of a SPRINT TP2 on Airave, they could only solve the problem if I had a BM branded phone (for which they have manuals to follow).
So it looks like I'm screwed.
UNLESS,
SOMEONE READING THIS, KNOWS HOW TO SET UP A TP2 ON BM WITH AN AIRAVE??
HELP!!
Is your Airave activated on a Sprint account? It needs to be.
If it is, make sure you have the version 2 (not made by Samsung).
1. Yes, the Airave is activated on my Sprint account. Although my TP2 is on my boost mobile account.
2. No, I have the Samsung Airave, which I will probably return. Do you think that the new version will not have this problem?
Thanks for all the replies,
Rodney

From this post here, it looks like Boost-CDMA does work on the new one.

Thanks for the link Jimmyjoebob. Although "Wireless" is not certain about that. I've left him a question on that forum.
Rodney
When you do find out, please post back to let us know.
Sprint is wanting the old model versions back, maybe they know there is a problem.
Hey Jimmyjoebob and others,
I asked "Wireless" in the Sprint forum, who has an Airvana as well as Sprint phones and boost mobile phones. He says that the boost mobile phones DO NOT work on the Airvana.
So it looks like we are at the end of the line.
BOOST MOBILE PHONES DO NOT WORK WITH AN AIRAVE OR AN AIRVANA.
I would be delighted if someone proved me wrong.
Over and out,
Rodney

I hearing different answers. I've heard that boost doesnt care, and will allow it. and then the opposite, that Cricket And metro pcs only do it and Boost is strict on that stuff. please help with a truthful answer. thanks!
When I first put my shift on boost, I used my sprint touch pro, which was already on boost, as donor and copied the meid/esn but nothing else. When it OTA activated, 3g was working great for a few months(i guess off the previous sprint user's account, but I incorrectly assumed it was from the hands free). Recently it had dropped down to 1x only and ##debug# showed 2-authentication failed. I Tried copying the ha/aaa from the touch pro but can't get them both with QXDM, and I spent hours looking through nvitem dump trying to find them.
So, I bought a rant and had my service transferred there. Zeroed esn/meid with the qmat script, new meid/esn, ha/aaa secrets, and all settings from rant to shift. Now it says 1-authenticated, but no internet at all. Also, i can't hands-free activate it anymore. If I do it will lose mdn, msid, and ha/aaa secrets and i will have to restore settings in QPST service programming from a previous save. Before I switched to the rant I could OTA program fine.
Anyone have any ideas? Help is much appreciated at this point. I am desperately in need of internet on my phone bc I am a consultant and constantly having to email clients on the road.
Switching back to the touch pro is not really an option bc it is a sprint TP and the esn is still a sprint esn. I bought it preactivated. I know it's still a sprint esn bc every time I called boost they told me it was a sprint esn.
Thanks in advance! I need help!

I don't have any experience with Boost personally but I did run across this recently and remembered your post.
