same question, any app cant wake up phone by volume button ?
i used LightLock to light on htc chacha proximity sensor, but it's not convenient.

Good question that, my keyboard is always going dark just when I don't want it to/when I'm typing.
sent usin' tapatalk innit.

I found Keyboard Backlight Controller on market but it doesn't work on chacha

nobody care about using another key to wake up htc chacha ????????

Solution~
you can just hit the app icon to switch keypad backlight between
off mode
and
system control mode

The application works!
I'm always a bit suspicious of these kind of things coupled with Chinese writing when it's run-but avg was happy and when it asks for root I've allowed but not "remembered" the permission. Yet.
Thanks

the best way is holding finger on sensor...:cyclops::good:

The best way is to decompile framework-res.apk and edit /res/values/arrays.xml
There are stored backlight settings and you can edit them to stay on all the time, or on any level you want.
And then compile apk and push it to system/framework

display is not working right with lock app!

i've been having this problem with almost all the keylock applications i've installed!
the display keeps on getting activated by itself and refuses to go into sleep mode! and if it goes into sleep mode, i'll have overlap lock screen which consist of the stock lock from X10 and the lock app i've installed..
was wondering whether any of the users here facing the same problem or not and if so, how am i suppose to get rid of the problem?

yes, i have not touched anything.. once i press the power button to go to sleep mode, it'll automatically wake within 3 secs
Sounds like a task killer problem.

will try it again with task killer disabled..
if its LockBot you are using its a known issue on the X10, if not using LockBot chances are its the same issue as you get with lockbot were you end up with multiple lock screens.
I use goto v1.20 Now and this is the first lock which actually is usable on the x10.
With lock bot I had the problem I couldn't use the notification bar anymore and with others I had double lock screens which is annoying as hell...

Back lights

Hi does anyone know of an app that can turn the hardware lights on and off? (not blink for notification, i mean be able to turn them off and on whenever i want)
Thanks
You can download bln control/bln control pro
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
You also need a kernel that supports bln. Like netarchy, with bln control app from the market, does wonders
Thanks for replies, i should have been more clear.
I meant turn them off for good when i want to, not blink when i get a notifcation
i almost died trying find out this thread, but i got: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141233

[Q] Backlight on XenonHD vXVIII ROM

Hi there !
I'm not able to post on the good thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667442) due to my amount of posts, so I have to post there, and I hope it's the right place.
I saw on 15.7.2012 change log of the ROM this : "Enable automatic backlight by default."
I thought it was backlight of the 4 buttons allowing you to know you get a SMS during phone was locked.. but I tried the ROM, tested to recieve a SMS during my Nexus S is lock, but backlight stay off..
Am I doing something wrong ? Does this ROM just don't have this feature ? Would be bad.. :crying:
Thanks

For keys to light up you must flash kernel with bln(backlight notification) enabled. Automatic backlight is for screen brightness.

Hi
What ROM?
And do u mean just for notifications or literally entirely.
(I could see ur point if u do since I use the navigation bar for everything now)
But yes to both:
For notifications use NS tools app.
For "entirely" ID have to verify what to do so let me get back to U.
Vs Nexus S4G using tapatalk2

Rom: XenonHD 6.0
for notification, i want the key ligts to blink (solved with BLN control)
But i wanna use pie or nav bar control, and really irritating the soft keys light
Did you even try searching for one? I remember someone posted the exact same question and I responded to them giving them the files, so if you search for one you'll find it.
Just download the NSTools app from the Play Store and turn on backlight dimmer and set the delay to 0 ms.
For notifications turn on the backlight notifications too.
