So I am obviously a NOOB and a bit of a dim bulb too, as you will see.
I currently have 2 Android devices. An LG Optimus LTE that I got in Dec and a Novo 7 Basic I bought in Nov. Two opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the Google Play market compatibly.
I support devs by purchasing my apps/donating from the play market, when I can. The problem with my Novo 7 Basic is that (in Canada at least) it only has the free version of Google Play installed and therefore not many compatible apps show up in the market for it, even though it clearly has the guts to run many powerful HD apps, especially since, thanks to infamouskid, I have Magic Code installed. If I could buy apps from Amazon market, then many of these apps would be available to me (when I have looked they are compatible). My Novo is upgraded to ICS. Fortunately MyBackup Pro is avail to my tablet in the market and it is also on my phone. So I use the PIN for the phone on my tablet in order to "restore" the apps to the tablet.
Now that Play is allowing one purchase to be used on all of the devices you own, I was really ticked off that many of the basic apps couldn't be loaded on my tablet without trying to find a link somewhere and take the chance it was ok...hence the lack of brain power part... obviously if I understood how to root ect I would get that you can use Titanium backup or in my case, mybackup pro to move the apps.
Using MyBackup Pro: I liked not having to unmount sd cards (and it really is a bugger to get the card out of my tablet). It takes longer, of course, to do it by WIFI (real long). I didn't like that it seems to be an all or nothing. If I download a new game on my phone, I would like to be able to transfer just it and not have the backup scoop up everything...this is probably just a new user lack of knowledge.
Anyways - many apps are now confirmed installed and working on my tablet. There were a few that wouldn't install (ie: Brisksaber, lol) and fewer still that installed but won't run (evil Gameloft).
I just wanted to point out this idea to those of us Noobs with Chinese Tablets, lol, as a great alternative to finding recompiled apps, or app links if you happen to have another Android device. I will include my apps now; you'll notice a bunch of "junk" since I've got little kids, lol. I first checked if they worked and then I moved many of the apps after the "Backup" to the SD card.
APPS (I will make a note of it not working or not working well, otherwise its going well!):

Bricksaber - wouldn't install
Tintin HD - no - when it opens it tells me that the game is not compatible with my device. It is, but the licence won't let it work..I have nothing but problems with Gameloft games.....my phone came pre-loaded with some demo games (my carrier is bell), so when those game titles go on sale, I can't buy them at the sale price, only for $5 each....not likely! According to Gameloft, it isn't their Fault, its' Bells..according to Bell it itsn't their fault, its LG's...and according to LG...its Google Plays fault... I'll eventually get down to the business of root ect so I can blast those bloat games off my phone, lol.
If there are better ways of doing this transfer thing, please let me know!

Hi,
I bought HTC Magic a couple of months ago, but since then, I haven't been able to find a decent app for my phone which I can be proud of. Notice, that I am in a region where Paid apps aren't available in android market. I have gone through all the free apps in the market, and I can't find a single nice app. On the other side, I have an iPod Touch which some really mind blowing apps and I feel like Android apps stand no way near to the iPod Touch apps.
Now, I am thinking of creating a US Gmail account and then pay through Google Checkout, so that I can get paid and quality apps.
Can any body recommend me some kicka** games, and apps?
I am running Android 2.1 ROM on my Magic.

GameTime Plus and League Pass are 2 separate apps which add-on to NBA GameTime free. They do not work without the free app installed first and their features are independent of one another so what one add-on does will not give you access to what the other add-on is capable of.
GameTime Plus only provides live in-game radio and post game video highlights.
League Pass only provides streaming live video during the game.
When you install League Pass it successfully merges with the GameTime free app as you will notice it then says 'league pass enabled' when you start the app and the ads are gone.
However, when attempting to install GameTime Plus, it does not seem to locate or acknowledge that GameTime free is already installed because it asks you to install it and tries to take you to to the market with an unsuccessful search string. Therefore it does not successfully merge like the League Pass add-on and instead, creates a duplicate GameTime icon. Any attempt to access a gametime plus feature says you need to purchase it so the install is not successful.
I found these elsewhere (I cannot post formatted links):
League Pass: h//easy-share.com/1912770921/com.mobitv.lib.nlp-1.apk [50kb]
GameTime Plus: h//easy-share.com/1912770920/com.nbadigital.gametime.gametimeplus-1.apk [300kb]
If anyone could take a look and see what the problem is and, more importantly, provide a fix or remedy? Again, you need the GameTime free app installed first and you can find that by searching for 'nba digital' in the market.

you mean league pass (with game time free)? that's the one that is supposed to let you watch the games live.
game time plus (with game time free) gives you live radio and post-game video but not live video.

I tried searching the market with my search strings as "nba digital" or "nba gamte time".
Both results did not show the nba game time app. Any idea why? Thanks.
I dragged league pass into my sd card and installed. Installation completed but the games were all blacked out..I d-loaded location spoofer to get around the ip but no luck. Anyone else have a solution yet? This app is more important to me than the NFL one yet that one works flawless...on wifi that is

If you guys open the game time app, press the menu key, select "more" and then "blackout information" they're pretty clear in explaining that none of the vpn, proxies or spoofers will work to get through the blackouts. Hopefully someone comes up with a method they haven't covered yet.
I would love to have this app but I don't want to pay $45 when my hometeams are blacked out. I hope it gets hacked like it did last year... came in usefull at school and work.
Sent from my N1 using XDA App
when ever i dl league pass, dosent show up as an app to install on my phone

Just run regular Game Time after installing both and you'll have the Plus features.
I would like to be able to use the League Pass. Nothing shows up though for the games or schedule. Everything just shows not available....

thank you. one step closer. now all we need is league pass and it shall be a fantastic season
there not installing
uninstall the one from the market if you have it in there.then install them. i had the same issue
All games are blacked out not just local games!
Sent from my Epic 4G
did anybody get the hack or patch yet for this?
the two files in post #13 work. you need to uninstall any previous version of gametime you had before or you will keep getting the "not installed" message. now we just need an updated mobitv league pass apk in order to watch live games. the league pass apk posted in the beginning of this thread doesn't work with the updated game and game plus apk's in post #13.
I did not write this. I got this idea from ssserpentine and used it for the Galaxy Tab. Wanted to see if it worked for the MT4G and the Droid Charge, and it does. I use it to play Fruit Ninja.
Many thanks to ChainFire for writing this awsome program...... Chainfire3d
visit thread here...., Don't forget to hit HIS THANKS button while there.
What you need.....
To be ROOTED!!!! YEP thats pretty much it.
Go to the Market and download "[ROOT] ChainFire 3D". You can use the Free version, or just go ahead and chalk up the $4 for the paid version.
Download the Nividia Lib from the bottom of this post. Put on /sdcard/
Install CF3D Driver by clicking Install/upgrade/ uninstall CF3D driver.
Then Set the CF3D as the Driver. It will run a script and reboot.
Open Chainfire3D:
Install Plugin
(will search your /sdcard/ and show
Install Plugin
libGLEMU_NVIDIA.zip
/
Click the Nivida Plug-in. It will install it. When you see plug-in install complete. Press back button, and select
Default OpenGL Settings.
Click: Use plugin. Select Nvidia. Exit !
Now go to the Market and Search for Tegra Zone.
Install Tegra Zone from market.
Now you can download and play Tegra2 Zone games on your Droid Charge without "Hardware not supported error"
I have downloaded and playing games I payed for while on another phone (i.e. fruit ninja) So I can confirm that downloading games from the Tegra Zone and playing them on the Droid Charge works. There were some that said when we tested this out on the MT4G that they couldn't get games to download. As far as not being able to pay for games. I payed using my Google account. I have heard that for some reason people could not pay for full games.
NOTE: NOT ALL GAMES WILL WORK AS THEY ACTUALLY NEED THE TEGRA2 TO RUN. MOST JUST RUN OFF THE NVIDIA HD DRIVER.
DO NOT PURCHASE BANG BANG RACING!!!!!! It needs specific hardware that cannot be emulated at this point.
Confirmed working:
Samauri II
Riptide
Pinball thd
Fruit ninja thd
Backbreaker thd
The PowerVR Driver is included. The default driver for the Droid Charge is the PowerVR SGX 540. If you want to play Madden. Sometime the SGX 540 does not work. (I can't verify this as i don't play Madden and do not have it. Just what i've gotten back from research)
Reserved Space.
I can play Fruit Ninja without this mod. But I didn't purchase it from Market - I got it from the Amazon appstore since it was cheaper there. Maybe that's the difference?
The graphics seem to be subpar, though (not high res).

Thats because it's not the THD version of the game. You are playing regular Fruit Ninja.
I followed the directions in this thread and was able to download and install CF3d, the plugins and Tegra Zone app. However, I'm getting a "Non-Tegra device detected" error any time I try to download anything from the Tegra Zone app. If I try to search from the android market, the games don't show up.

The tegra games will not show up in the regular android market. And make sure you have Nvidia set as your default driver. You may not have selected it.

How do you buy Tegra games if you can't download them from the android market?
As mentioned. this seemed to hit and miss for some reason. I never had any problems downloading tegra 2 games or downloading them. Only game i could never get to work right was Madden. I also have a credit card connected to my tmobile and google accounts, so my purchases were 1 click purchases.

I wonder if is this new market that is in the Humble ROM?
Edit: Eureka! I used TB to wipe the data from the Market. Downloading Riptide now
Maybe update the OP with the Market wipe in case things don't show up?
Often when I buy or install an app for my phone I see that the same app is not available for my tablet. If it was just few things I wouldn't care, but it seems disproportionately high.
Is my market screwed up or does everyone have that?
If it is everyone, what gives? I can see some games limiting resolution for performance reasons but there are a lot of other apps I see prohibited that don't make sense.
I know, it's highly annoying. Most developers haven't updated their list of compatible devices in months, except to add the S3. It's a simple thing to do, but they just don't care. I have a ton of supposed 'not compatible' apps that run just fine, but can't be installed through the market because they're too lazy to change their list of devices. Morons...
You can sideload most apps and games. (Install on phone and copy the data to your tablet manually. The process is explained on the forum here somewhere.)
They're forcing us to consider alternate methods of acquiring the apps, especially when you don't have a second Android device. (like me..) We don't want to download, but they're not exactly giving us much of a choice... >.<
I noticed that most EA games not available. Sucks because I bought Dead space and Mass effect on phone and they are great games but wanted to play on a big screen.
Also Flipboard I use. I did sideload it and its working quite well. Some problems occur but still very usable.
I don't think it is just the whole updating the compatibility list, with many apps - It's b/c there are things that simply do not work on tablets for whatever reason, and so they ahve not been made to show compatibility for tablets.
I have found at least 15-20 apps from my BIONIC that I cannot install on my tablet, one of them being the Amazon App Store - which sucks b/c I got OpenOffice Pro free through Amazon and now cannot install it on my tablet without sideloading it.
Hey guys,
dunno if anyone has seen this yet, but any android user w/ a US amazon account:
check out their apps for today! there is a bunch of really nifty apps for free! get it now!
http://bit.ly/1sJLvkH
there are some interesting ones like Plex, Sonic 2, the room 2 (kindle only though ), root explorer, splashtop HD, and cross me premium (if you like picross type puzzles).
*damn it's good to be on android*
Or you can just go to amazon.com and go to their app store to check out what's free. (if you don't want to click on the link)
