The only way I can think of is by using the DoubleTwist player Air sync application. It allows you to stream and sync wirelessly. Hope I help...

Thank you I'll have to check this out and see if it works for me

If you connect it as a media player, the xbox will detect it...but you have to manually pick the song you want to play and when its over it will just keep repeating that song till you manually pick a new one...i know its pretty lame

That's strange.. You can't just plug it into your xbox, then find the music file and press play all?
It works on mine with just plugged in as mass storage. No app needed.

Yeah for some reason my box won't pick up my phone when its in mass storage mode. Kinda sucks :/

Allshare like app for Nexus S?

I just sold my Vibrant and bought a Nexus S and was wondering if there was another app like Allshare that I could use to stream movies from my PC to my phone.
I really like Allshare cause whenever my wife insisted on watching f'ing Jersey Shore I could allways bust out my phone and choose a movie from my library without have to get off the couch to upload it to my phone.

Swifta would work great if it would play different types of video files.

So we do have DLNA? I searched around and I couldn't find a definite answer.
Damn I was going to buy the nexus s but I use allshare all the time. Especially when family comes over. I stream the photos and hd home videos to my tv.
Do you think if I took the vibrant version and used it on the nexus it would work?
Dlna needed of course.

iMediaShare brings DLNA capabilities on any Android phone including Nexus S. In addition it also enable playback of online videos as well as sharing personal photos from Facebook and Picasa.
Hmmm.
I tried searching for imediashare (and scanning the QR codes that are on their website) but it's not showing up in my Market....must be a protected app or something.
Oh well.
Damn it. Maybe I could get the imedia apk found some where.

I read on another thread that the Allshare app on the Vibrant is tied into its framework and would have to be modified to work.

Try again. It should be there now
Last post is December, so did you guys find a way or did everyone settle with Twonky, Skifta and iMediaShare?
You can stream video with Gmote.
Although the dlna works fine I really wanted the AllShare app to control the TV, anyone know how to get it on the Nexus S or at least why can't we?!
Is there an OS version issue, cause I have downloaded like 3 AllShare apk but none works.
I`m currently using the 2.3.4 version.
Thanks in advance,
BRunohenri

DoubleTwist

So I bout airsync today cause its on the ten cent deal from the android market and I was wondering what is the best way of syncing? I already have all my music on my phone, would it be best to move that to my laptop and resyncing? Also when I make playlists, it includes videos, anyway around that irritant?

Listening to Pandora in car via usb?

Hoping someone can help me with this.... Can I listen to pandora via usb connection on my car stereo? It has a usb port and I can use to mount as mass storage device, but wondering how to/if I can play pandora through it

As soon as you use mass storage the os becomes unavailable. You might try this adapter. I've never used it so I have no idea if it will work but it seems like it should. Also do you have bluetooth on the deck?
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-ICUSBAUDIO-USB-Audio-Adapter/dp/B000NPKGGK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8
No bluetooth, the deck is a viole years old and the aux input doesn't work anymore. maybe I'll check this out

It says it's for computers but I don't see why it wouldn't work. And for 14 bucks it's worth a shot. Or you could just get a new deck. lol Good Luck.
Hi Chazel3
I have an unused line out to FM transmitter (connecting to car power socket).
It can be a blast combined with voodoo sound on AntonX's kernel.
See attached image.
Let me know if you want it.

Never liked fm modulators very much, looking for more of a hard line solution, probably end up getting a new head unit with bluetooth, thanks for the help tho!

GS3 usb to play music on xbox 360.

So I haven't seen this posted anywhere else but I'm curious to know if anyone has gotten an xbox 360 to play music on the phones internal/external storage card using usb. Or if its even possible to do so? I'm currently running liquid Smooth Jb rom if it makes a difference.
Not sure if this will help but I'm able to do what you want with my PS3, via Wi-Fi dlna

Clear fi and hoxl

So I was at someone's house and we was browsing pics on hoxl and I discovered in choose player settings in gallery an option to connect to clear.fi . Be inquisitive I connected and soon discovered I was streaming my pics to a pc in the house over WiFi. Kinda cool. I'm gonna study up on it as it is basically a streaming program on the pc. My question is has anyone used this , thoughts on it, and I'm curious how my phone detected clear fi and is this a security issue. Almost seems like a remote desktop media program. I'm just trying to protect my media on my device from being streamed unintendedly....I'm running latest viperxl which I love.
