hei guys..i had stock 4.0.3 and i rooted it with
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1482567 this. it worked well without unlockong my bootloader...any ideea if there is a simple way like this to root the new 4.0.4 update? should i try the same one ?

Solved.... i used voodoo ota root keeper from market..the root remained intact after update

I have updated to ICS 4.0.3 stock rom..I need to root my phone. Is the rooting procedure is same like before...? or is there anything new to do with ICS...?
Please advise
Nothing new. It just does not work yet. Su app needs an update.

stock ics update looking to root.....

I rooted my phone using the Mac root on xda and ran rousch ice beta 11 but than I went back to stock and got the ota for pics and was wondering if there is a specific way to root again since it is ics and I don't want to brick my phone? step by step help would be very appropriated!!! I am some what of a newb but with ics does it make things different?

Jellybean OTA 4.1.1

If i install the OTA 4.1.1 on my nexus s would i lose all my root stuff?

Hello friends. I have the answer for you. It is simple . If you have 4.0.4 stock rooted . Just install voodoo ota root keeper from play store, backup your root. Then install the update zip . Once booted go to ota rootkeeper and click 'restore . I have jb rooted myself using this method. You're wellcome.

Just flash Simple-Root-1.0.zip and Superuser-3.2-RC2-arm-signed.zip from CWM and you should have no problems.

Hi all,
My question is if it is possible to root JB 4.1.2, that I have recently received and installed via WiFi on my GTI9100 ?
I have tried various was but I've failed repeatedly !
My last attempt was to downgrade to 4.0.3, then root and update via WiFi on the handset, however lost root on update.
Find attached system details**
Any help would be much appreciated so thanks in advance.

do i need this for keeping my root or updating my stock rom ota ? because i can just root it again its no big deal
i just want to make sure i can update with my root present, and wont eno****er any brick issues, i got an update notificitaion even though im rooted, does this mean it will update normally ?
The app is for keeping the root...and it will temporary disable root for the update process... I tested it on many devices
