Best alarm app - Android Apps and Games

What app is best for alarm thanks please links also.........

alarmdroid (free & paid) on the market has never failed me & it's as fancy as you want to make it.

Alarm clock plus is very good. It has an option that forces you to do some math (basic-hard) in order to dismiss/snooze. Nothing wakes you up in the morning like arithmetic with 5 3 digit numbers.

I use Alarm Clock Xtreme, it's the same concept with math problems, captchas, etc. Good customization, free & paid in the Play Store.

Alarm clock plus is a nice app.. i am using it..

I think this is exactly what you are looking for, Best Alarm. Does exactly what it is supposed to do + it's free.

Sorry to bump this up. I have a rooted nexus 7, 4.2.1 , was wondering if there's a alarm app or a way to get my tablet to boot up from being turnt off to sound a alarm.
Thanks in advanced

Hi - I think if they are unique and useful then we'll need to post a description of what they do, otherwise you'd have to download it and try it out to see if it's something that you'd find useful....
For me - Data on demand - switches your mobile data connection off when you're screen is off, unless a background task calls for it.
and battery indicator - put's a little battery icon in your status bar which shows you how many % battery you have left.. much more useful than the vagaries of the std battery icon.
Hey above two are very common man

My first post!
Just to correct OP, MeContacts is not a smart dialer. It's an app that you can put different contacts in grid view. You can choose either to call or view contact when you tap on that particular contact. Also, speak and send is great, thanks OP.
I've been nerding and looking up for anything that can improve my X10. I'll name the ones that I don't think are very common. But ya, here goes my long list (in no particular order; i don't use all of these now, but they have been useful to me before)...
*1) QuickDesk Beta
- quick pop up menu where you can add apps/widgets and allows you to stay on your current application (for some reason the double tap doesn't work for me, but single tap works fine)
2) Last Call Widget
- a simple widget that lets you see your last call (can 1 click to call back the caller if it was a missed call)
3) Quick Settings (by Sergej Shafarenka)
- an app that lets you quickly set your WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc. This is better than having a widget constantly running in the background
4) Quick Battery (by Sergej Shafarenka)
- nice looking battery widget
*5) Multicon Widget
- have 4 shortcuts (not widgets) in a normally 1 icon space (helps save a lot of space)
*6) Car Mode
- press on the icon, and phone all phone calls will be coming out of the speakers (NOT a bluetooth feature which connects to other BT devices)
7) Turtle Photoframe
- best (in my opinion) photoframe for pictures, not a lot of features or customization, but gets the job done I think
8) Unit converter (by Wopnersoft)
- really nice looking interface for a unit converter
9) Tajm
- presents the time and date in word format rather than numbers
*10) Shake - Uninstall
- enable the feature, and go into any application (does not work with widgets), then shake to uninstall the app
11) Blik Calendar Widget
- a 4x1 widget that shows your calendar schedule for about 8-10 days. Uses 1 of 500 built in pics to describe your activity for that day
*12) Home Switcher
- if you use a lot of different launchers and set 1 as a default, this will be very useful for you to toggle between the different launchers
*13) Market History Manager
- 1 click to delete the history in Market, very useful and straightforward
*14) ToDo List Widget
- easy to add, edit, and delete lists. very handle and simple to use.
Hope that list helps people! *phew* that took awhile to type it up =P
*starred ones are the ones I think are most useful.

Is this available on the Android Market?
Ghost Commander... A great Dual-pane file manager(like Norton Commander, FAR manager etc), making it very easy to copy and paste between folders in your SDcard, both panes are individually configurable and its the only file manager that i use...
Its a free download from android market
Note: if you've already used dual-pane file managers handling this is a breeze, but for first timers there is a small learning curve
Thanks ECBomb for sharing the names of those apps..will try n let u know

ehh, I have it now, but only 2 holes and then it is finished, it's the shortest trial ever! But the graphics and gameplay looks good. Only I have force closes almost everytime on my x10i....
And on topic again:
Smooth Calender widget for nice transparant text only appointments on your desktop, I use it in combination with Jorte (Calendar app). Both free on the market.

Alarm app - killer feature?

Hey all,
I'm working on a feature-packed, sexy new Android premium alarm app which is now nearing completion. I've got a very quick question for anyone who's ever looked for a replacement app for the built-in clock/alarm.
I'll give a free copy of the app out to the first 20 posters in this thread.
What single feature or frustration with the built-in alarm clock on your phone made you look for an alternative?
Thanks!
Mark.
Natural wake up..
Meaning that it starts to wake you up a little by little

The ui
Sent from my LG-MS910 using xda premium
"Dismiss" being too easy to hit. When it first goes off, I want to snooze a couple times. I hate having to actually wake up and focus my eyes to make sure I'm hitting snooze instead of dismiss, which would be catastrophic.
If there were an option to make the whole screen snooze-only and have the power button be dismiss...or snooze with the first tap and dismiss with the second (or something like that), I would be SOLD.
UI and the snooze button,
Would love to try your app. I am currently using alarm clock extreme. The only thing I don't like about it is the ui.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
Big snooze button, small dismiss button.
Option to change the snooze time.
Nice wake-up sounds.
UI, and lack of options
A ui that allows alteration of the screen saver

I have used various ones, alarms extreme to alarm plus.
But the one feature that is missing is not only using ringtone that gets louder but also use a light from front screen that gets brighter, suppose it is like natural light well that's what I want. B-)

i need math calculations to turn the alarm off
Lack of options
Sure I try it

+1 for math calculations! It's a great way to wake up the mind!
And regarding UI, something ICSesque would be nice!

The UI and would like the alarm to get louder and louder (natural wakeup?).
The stock one had a dumb thing, if I had my mobile in silence mode sometimes I didnt hear the alarm, im 100% sure I didnt sleep through it haha and I realy like a option to set music from your playlist as alarm ringtone

Maybe this question?
3x^2-2√(3)xy+y^2+2x+2√(3)y=0
It's sure to get your mind woken up and late to work.
+1 for natural wake up, and ability in calendar disable/enable alarms
Ability to wake to music of your choice.
Very nice UI & ofcourse many many options

[FREE][APP] Prestige Alarm Clock

Hi everyone
I've found this app today and It' s great. So many features.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.prestigealarm
In my opinion best android alarm clock app in the play store.
And I have a question. What alarm clock apps you use everyday and why?
On a totally unrelated topic, how do I favorite a forum on this XDA app?

Alarm widget not displaying

Hi All,
Seems like a great and useful forum here. I have read a lot of useful threads here since I got my SmartWatch 2. Love my watch seems to work well so far.
I've just installed WatchWidgets by Magnus Eriksson and have placed widgets on my watchface, all seem to be working, apart from the alarm widget. It's not displaying at all. Do I have to install an extension to make it display, it's the stock Android alarm app that it should be displaying.
Thank you for any advice.
Rowley
Do you have an alarm active if not it will show nothing.

Thanks for the reply. I have multiple alarms active, could it be that?
Or am I missing something I should have installed?
Connectivity apps installed are:
-Smart Connect
-SmartWatch 2
App extensions installed are:
-Calendar reminder
-Call handling
-Commander
-Missed call
-Quick reply for smartwatch
-Smart camera
-Smart ext for FB
-SmartExtensionAPI
-WatchIt!
-WatchWidgets
-Weather
-WebBrowser
Try one single alarm on the phone and nothing on the watch and see what it does. I must say I haven't used it so I'm guessing a bit

The alarm widget of the watch is not showing alarms from your phone. It will only show alarms made by your watch.

Thanks again all for your help and advice

Alarm for free use

Hi to all in this comunity
I made this melody only for one purpose, to be new fresh alarm, thats all.
It is composed in Propelerheads Reason. I like experimenting with music so why not build my own alarm melody.
Use it for FREE, share it whatever you like, nothing more nothing less...
Thanks for any feedback! :good:
