Rom works great only problem is during a phone call my friends say they can't hear me or can hardly hear me. Is there any way I can raise the the microphones sensitivity or something so they can hear me? Thanks.

Go into Cyanogenmod Settings>Device Settings and find something like HiFi recording, and uncheck it.

Is it all the time? When my gf uses her phone through the car speakers with the aux to talk to me, I sometimes hear my voice echo.

it is all the time, no using bluetooth or anything, jsut regular call, it's done this on stock ICS ROM, and every TW ROM since...
I just traded it in for a new one today (since was within 14 days) it did this on the two testers in the store and on the new one, so to me. its the phone.
after much research, it seems this helps
Call dialer-settings-advance settings-turn off noise reduction.

Has anyone else had problems where people can't hear you during voice calls? It seems like people complain that they can't hear me unless I hold the phone right up to my face.
I have the "official" bumper case, but other than that, nothing special. The phone is from the 14 batch (manufactured 12/12/2013) -- and is running CM 11 M3.
Any thoughts/advice? Thanks.

Saw this thread on Google Forums... People seem to think it might be software related to the noise canceling mic. Doesn't look like there's any fix yet.

Man HD voice sure is nice.
But I have to sometimes end the call and start over. Actually frequently.
Good thing I don't call a lot of people.
Hi i just got a Sensation from the bay and when i make a call no one can hear me, so i used voice recorder still nothing but when i plug my headphones it it hears me and records just fine
Anyone else experienced this also if so how did u fix it

What Rom do you have? And maybe it's hardware becouse headphones maybe have built in Mic ,but first check other opinions

Try to flash another Rom, something more like stock Rom and see if its working okey

Just wanted to let everyone know that "Automatic Call Recorder" in the play store is working GREAT on the M8. It is not using the mic and is very clear. Has anyone else experimented with different programs?
I was a big fan of the call record mod on the sg3 and sg4 would love to have it stock on m8

Verizon One M8 (HTC6525LVW) phone, if your system is Android 4.4, almost all recorders work well. If your system is Android 5.0 Boldbeast Call Recorder works well, no root needed, it records calls perfectly in two sides.

You can even upload the recordings to Google Drive.

Not here. I get hiss, the mic does not pickup the other side of the conversation.
It used to work on some previous ROM I was using.
So annoying. I only want to use this when I get the calls from India claiming to be "Microsoft" letting me know my computers are all jacked up. What's the point of trolling those retards if I can't record it and post the results? :laugh:

Did you choose Micro in Audio Source Settings ? I have been searching for a long time for call recorder, and this one works fine on the OnePlus
