I noticed today that I lost sync between my corporate Exchange calendar and my phone. I tried to check the Corporate Sync account settings, but when I clicked on the Account, it brought up a dialog for my Picasa account. I deleted that account, then the Corporate Sync account was not listed. But Exchange email was still syncing, and when I tried to add a new Exchange account, it notified me that the account already existed (even though it was not shown in the list of accounts).
So, I did a factory reset, added the Google and Exchange accounts, restored apps and data (except for Accounts), and the Exchange calendar then showed up again and the Corporate Sync account appeared in the Accounts list. Then I rebooted, and the Corporate Sync account has disappeared from the list, Exchange calendar is gone again, but my Exchange email still works.
This problem has just started in the last few days, I'm running stock 2.3.6 root. Any ideas?

My corporate exchange contacts and calendar were syncing fine on my last Captivate but I had to exchange it to fix some problems. Now the new Captivate, I cannot get the exchange contacts or calendar to sync. The email pushes just fine but not the contacts or calendar. I've tried deleting and re-adding my exchange account but it still won't sync them. I don't want to have to factory reset yet again. Any ideas?

This was a new one for me and i hope its a one off.
I was reading my emails using the undread option across mutiple accounts and once i had read them all and switched back to all mails view all of my mails had gone from the device.
I then exited mail and went back into it and it showed the setup account choices screen.
I checked settings and accounts and they were all still there with a green sync icon but checking the mail app they were not showing as registered.
The only fix i could find was a factory reset.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a better fix? I have searched the forums and found nothing so far.

This also has happened to me multiple times. I had 2 accounts: exchange for work and pop/smtp for home email. Mail client crashed (do not remember exactly what i was doing) and upon re starting it i was presented with the screen to set up mail accounts.
Checking the Account & Sync in Settings listed both accounts, but the mail client was unaware of them.
First time this happened I simply re-entered account details in the mail client and everything worked.
Second time it happened I could enter the exchange account details but client reported that it could not connect.
This required a factory reset to fix. Called north american support line, they had no record of this problem on file & suggested I use k9 client due to history of mail client issues on other devices. I could not get k9 to work on exchange.
When it happened the third time, I was able to reenter the accounts into the email client again and things worked.
I am now evaluating touchdown mail client for exchange. I use the gmail client for some other accounts and it works fine.
I use the stock email for my hotmail account which is my main email account so i have all my other email accounts forwarded to that one. I have it set to Push, and it does...sometimes, but not always, which I find to be weird. I have auto sync checked, data or wifi is always running so its a data issue, I've deleted the account and set it up again and im still having the same problem. I am on Tweakstock with PJB. Anyone else having this issue or know of a solution?
I have never found touchwiz email to be useful. I would always have to sync it manually with my college's email. Eventually I integrated it into my gmail (used pop3 in gmail to add to inbox and smtp to send) and the gmail app on my phone will even allow me to send as either my gmail or my college's email. You should try doing this to your hotmail.
I'm using hotmail app to sync and it's working fine. The one that you used is Window live.

I turned off the contact sync on the first account, and turned it on for the second account, but the phone will not sync (download or upload) contacts with the second account.

I case anyone else has this problem, I thought I would post what worked for me.
I had the contacts entered on my phone, and they were associated with gmail account 1. Of course, they would not sync with account 2. I used Contac_BackupPro to backup the contacts from the phone to its SDcard. I copied them to my PC. I went on gmail account 2, and imported them. That got them into the acccount I wanted them associated with.

I have multiple google accounts on my s10. I have selected only 1 account to sync contacts ( in the accounts section ) other accounts the contacts block is unchecked. I have wiped contact storage. the phone then syncs the account contacts of only the account i checked. This works for a day or 2 , however 2 or 3 days later or second day, the contacts from ALL accounts are synced and I can then see all the contacts from all the accounts on the phone. The other accounts contacts sync block remains unchecked but it still syncs. I have to delete the contact storage for it to only sync the contacts from that one account. But then again the same thing happens 2 or 3 days later all contacts resync.
I ONLY want to sync the contacts from that one account, not all of them. The others are all unchecked and this keeps happening. I don't want to hard reset. Any ideas ?
I am wondering, can it be an app syncing contacts even though it is unchecked to syn contacts in the accounts section ?
