Phantasy Star Online 2 coming to Android - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

As the title says, Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to Android & ios as a freemium game: Joystiq.com
Phantasy Star Online 2 isn't exactly the Dreamcast-era throwback we expected. Sega is embracing the future for its pricing model -- the infinitely expensive, vaguely annoying future. Sega announced a free-to-download, free-to-play model for the PC/Vita online action RPG during a streaming media event this morning. Revenue will come from item transactions.
Sega also announced a version of the game for iOS and Android. This won't exactly be the full game; according to Andriasang, Sega promised "social game elements," and simpler controls and character creation. Data will be shared between the phone and PC/Vita versions, but crossplay will not be possible. This version is due winter 2012, between the summer PC release and the 2013 Vita release.

It's a shame that we won't get the full version or cross play with PC/Vita versions as I remember many sleepless nights spent playing Phantasy Star Online with my college friends a long time ago as a Newman Hunter.

Oh man!
I played it a few times on my friend's DC and had SO much fun! I never owned the game or a Dreamcast at the time, and I for some reason decided to buy a copy a year after I got my first Dreamcast... 2 years ago... Offline mode is okay but not as fun as going online! I just can't believe that I expected to play Online when I bought it! xD

I really wanted "Infinity Blade" for Android... but unfortunately Epic Games said they're not releasing for Android !! i'm hoping to see powerful games in the future ...
Look up Angry Bots tech demo on the market. It's not a real game per se, just a tech demo, but holy goddamn it looks gorgeous. Console-quality, easily.

Hey, Nitronic Rush looks amazing. However, I'm not finding anything about it coming to Android. Can you point me to the right direction?

he last that was heard about this topic from the developers was back in June 2011 when they said in their forums they were strongly considering bringing this game to Android as well. Well we have received word from Ossian that it will indeed be coming to Android. Why should this make you excited?

Pro Evolution 2012 out in a couple of weeks

Just read in the Facebook feed of PES that they'll launch the game "later in October" for Android (it's out for iOS already). They're going to use a freemium model, seemingly. People have been moaning because quick matches only last one half... I wonder what's their idea.
Hope it is better than 2011, that was awful for a PES game.
They should just make them like the old PS1 games but spruce up the graphics.
2011 was not enjoyable as a football game.

Yeah, ditto. Would keep you coming back for sure...assuming the game was good.
Would be great if they had some kind of online too...but given Komami's record with PES online I doubt they would even attempt it, never mind get it right.
I hate you Seabass for what you have done to my favourite game.

Blazing Souls Accelate

Blazing Souls, the sequel to the fantastic Spectral Souls, is set to come out on the 30th. I know this is somewhat old news as it was mentioned a couple weeks back on multiple Android gaming websites but I just received confirmation over Facebook that the game will be Xperia Play optimized! This might not surprise many people who hold the "the last game they made was optimized so of course this one will be" mentality but our device is getting less support by the day so I for one never simply assume optimization will be present any more.

Damn, this is great news.
On PSP, it's too glitchy to even care about (just like Spectral Souls was too laggy to care about on PSP). If they've continued following the tradition of resolving the PSP version's issues, the Xperia Play will not only have taken the crown for the deepest Strategy RPG, but will have the definitive version.
But are spectral/blazing souls really good or not? On the psp I don't play them, I've played only disgaea, ff tactics and tactics ogre, so maybe I found another good tactical game

They are really goddamned awesome SRPGs... easily deeper than Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea for their combo/charge system alone.
...the PSP versions were marred with technical flaws, but if HyperDevbox continues their tradition of fixing everything that was wrong in the PSP release, then we've got a true landmark in Strategy RPG accomplishments on our phone. Spectral Souls is already here to check out, and with it being free of all the issues that plagued the PSP version, people have seen it in a new light... I don't see why Blazing Souls would be any different.
Spectral Souls is hands down my favorite game on the Xperia Play. It is better than any other SRPG I have ever played and it comes with my highest recommendation. Can't say for the sequel since I don't have a PSP and am new to the series but if this is improved to the extent Spectral Souls was and retains a similar style with some new features and story then it should kick ass.
This just came out and is fully optimized

[GAME] Chrono Trigger, only the best game of all time, is out on the Play store! :)

This is a game that doesn't need an introduction for most of us gamers from the SNES era. But for those of you who have NEVER heard from Chrono Trigger, you need to check this out.
This game is not only one of the best RPGs of all time, but one of the best games overall. Featuring multiple endings, an amazing and dynamic battle system, and a great and charming cast of characters designed by Akira Toriyama (you may know this guy from Dragon Ball Z). It's a masterpiece from beginning to end.
I know the $10 price can drive most people away. But for 15+ hours of great storytelling and epic battles, it is worth every penny.
Well, enough introductions. Here's the link to the Play store, enjoy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...VfZW5peC5hbmRyb2lkX2dvb2dsZXBsYXkuY2hyb25vIl0.
Come on square enix where's secret of mana! ?!?
Thanks for the heads up...one of the best jrpgs

Yey at long last
The game was ported from the Nintendo DS version, which was ported from SNES (they just improved graphics and music). Isn't it much better to play it with an emulator?

The DS port had extra dungeons and an extra ending as well. It wasn't a straight port.

First of all you missed two steps
1995 = SNES
1999 = playstation 1
2009 = Nintendo DS
2011 = Wii Console and iOS devices
2012 = Android
Second, no. There is no stable or dependable Nintendo DS emulator and while it's essentially the same game, when you've been playing it for nearly 20 years (like we real fans do), you kinda want the dimensional vortex and lost sanctum content to play with as well. There is only so much you can do to make the game experience unique and I long ago got tired of naming characters their actual real names (Nadia, Janus, R66-Y, Glenn, etc)
There's only so many times you can see the like dozen endings yknow
I bought mine yesterday. The ONLY thing I don't like about it is that I don't get the 2x game speed option that I had on emulators. Level grinding takes forever now
Otherwise, well worth it. Best RPG ever, hands down. By the way, OP, you forgot to mention that while the characters were done by the Dragon Ball Z people, the game itself was designed by the Final Fantasy people. Dream Team ftw.
I did not remember the game being so ugly.
Are you sure they haven't made it worse than the console edition?

It does appear to have been filtered, I wish SE added the option to switch it on and off. And yes I forgot: the game was the love-child of the Final Fantasy team AND the creator of the Dragon Quest series. Yet still this is not a typical turn-based RPG...you gotta see it for yourself.
my life is complete.
Quick question for you guys. I actually want to buy the game to support square and hopefully get them to release more of their catalog for android, but I'd really like to be able to play the game when not connected to the internet. I've seen apk+data downloads - my question is, if I buy the game from the market, and just put the data in the folder the downloads suggest, can I then play it anywhere? Or will it not work that way? If not, I'll just buy it and play other games when I'm off the network (annoying) but if there's a way to both support the dev and be able to play it the way I want, that would be perfect.
one of the best games!
Love this game
I like secret of mana better.
Via PadFone on Tapatalk. Tablet/Laptop phone ftw!
I downloaded Final Fantasy 3/6 because it is suppose to rival this game but doubt it would.
In today's world of CoD and Halo with each game looking like a different regurgitation of the last, this game still stands proud today. Amazing character development, I remember at least 5 different endings. How many games change the plot from the choices you make in game today? Me and my two brothers would play this together (one would play the other two would watch) on the first snes emulator that came out. We would Name two of the characters after the two older brothers and the third character (frog) we were suppose to name after my little brother but we just nicknamed him after my little bro instead ''Farty" The dialog turned out to be amazing because of it.
What happened to good gaming? What happened to the sniper battles of MGS, or fighting a boss who made you unplug your controller (literally). The environment of FFX. Gaming today sucks! And don't say it has gone to platform, it's gotten better there but it sucks there too! I have an amazing PC rig but no games to enjoy it for.
We have all the money and power but no creativity to put to it.
Charge on my beloved XDA devlopers. Prove them wrong.

Never played it, but Chrono Cross is really good. I just want them to start releasing Kingdom Heart games.
I used to play this game on DS, it's nice to be able to play it again on android, thanx :good:

Ridiculously FUN ‘Pako’ 2

Ridiculously FUN ‘Pako’ 2 For Android and iOS Gets A Big Update JUN 08, 2018038
Pako 2 for Android and iOS is easily one of the most fun games we have played in 2018.
The original Pako – Car Chase simulator was released way back in 2014 and was an instant hit. The game had amazing style and a whole variety of cars and maps to have fun on.
Every time I opened the app, all I wanted to do was beat my high-score.
Pako was super addictive.
The very long awaited sequel Pako 2 was released last year on steam, and that I’m sure made a lot of fans a bit sad.
But it didn’t take the developers’ Tree Men Games too long to launch it on the mobile platform when they did so in January this year.
Obviously, Pako 2 was well received, and the massive update in Aril put a lot of smiles on our faces when they launched on Android with a new map (Sunny Coast) and three brand new vehicles.
Tree Men Games knows how to spoil their fans bringing them another big update with a new map (Magpie Island) and more vehicles!
