Network problems on all ICS roms (KG2 phone) - General Questions and Answers

I am having problems with my network on every ICS rom I have tried. The roms are Darky ICS and the Resurrection Remix 9.7 and 1.0. I have tried multiple modems, yet they do the same thing.
My phone constantly changes from HSPA+ to 3G and back and forth. This is quite rapid, like in 5 seconds I will see it change a few times. Also, I get 'retry connection' messages a lot in Google Play and internet related apps. Non ICS roms seem to work perfectly fine.
Anybody have this? If so, did you resolve it?
Additional - I have tried installing the correct modem for my phone (the KG2) while in Darky ICS and it didn't make a difference.

Just noticed that I am also dropping calls. Tried half of the modems so far.

[Q] Problems with custom roms/themes/kernels

I own a Samsung Fascinate and I have been flashing customs for a few months now. I've tried 5 or 6 different combinations and every time I flash to something other than stock, i have weird occurrences. For instance, right now I am running super clean 2.9.2 eb01 w/ voodoo and crysis theme for eb01. I flashed it yesterday and when I flashed it, I tested all of the features (text in/out, web, calls in/out, camera, bluetooth etc.) and everything worked fine. This morning I woke up to a couple of missed calls and usually I wake up with text messages from different people too, but I had none whatsoever. Also, when I flashed it yesterday, I had a 3G symbol for my web and a stable connection. I wake up this morning and the 3G has turned into a "1x" (whatever that means) and the mobile data connection seems slower than ever. In fact it is slow. I play a cool MMORPG built for androids called Pocket Legends and when I logged in this morning my ping was extremely higher than usual. The only thing that I am completely worried about are texts/calls not coming in and my mobile data connection being slow. And this same thing has happened with a few other roms/kernels I've used. The weird thing is that as soon as I flash back to stock, all the features work fine again.
My main questions are, when I first flash something, why does everything work properly for a while after I first load it, but then a few days down the road I start having problems? Is that even possible? Can a custom rom/kernel/theme change your phone whenever it wants to? I know alot of customs are unstable and usually the OP lists what's working and not working, so I've made careful choices with the ones I've picked. This has happened with all of the customs I've had for eclair and even froyo. But why do they only work properly for like a day and then all of a sudden take a sh*t on me?
*EDIT* By the way, my phone is not being used on Verizon. I have it flashed to Cricket. Would this have anything to do with it?

(Q) WIFI Saving but not connected on stock roms?

Greetings,
So im having a strange issues on Stock 4.1 roms i.e. CM10, AOKP, and miui where wifi saves but does not connect. I dont have this issues at all On 4.0.4 roms and lower, even stock builds. I was wondering if anyone was having similar issues or if it was just me. Ive been searching like crazy to find out what i can do. Of the things i have found, (Changing modem band, changing phone from auto, to 5ghz, to 2ghz) none have worked.

[Q] Bluetooth issue with VRBLK1

I installed this latest jellybean leak for my Verizon GS3.
Pairing is not a problem nor is auto connect. My problem is the audio is completely garbled and inaudible during voice phone calls from my car.
I have an Infinity G37.
I did not have any problems before I flashed this leak Prior to this, I had flashed CyanogenMod 10 unofficial nightly builds with no problems. Prior to this, I had also used the latest verizon release for ICS with no problems.
The phone (as currently flashed to the jellybean leak VRBLK1) pairs and works perfectly with my wife's BMW Z4.
I have reset, unpaired, cleared the cache, etc and I just cant get this to work. I have tried different radios with no luck. I have downloaded and tried different bluetooth fixes from the marketplace with no luck.
My only option is either flashing back to ICS, or CyanogenMod 10 unofficial, but I prefer not to do that because other than this problem, everything else is perfect.
I have searched the forums and am unable to get an older version of Bluetooth Share (Would like to replace 4.1.1 with 4.0.4) which i suspect may fix this problem.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I do a lot of calls in my vehicle and we have a hands free ordinance in our city.
Nothing?
Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?
You've got it: 4.1.1 issue. No idea on a fix, I'm back to ICS as a result. Isn't a modem issue it seems (unless interaction between JB builds and particular modems), seems to be a JB issue (reported across phones with lots of different vehicles).

[Q] GPS causes all radio to freeze?

sup xda..
I've been experiencing a fault which I couldn't find on any other threads, but if I'm missing it please direct me to it.
First thing's first... I've been running CM10 stable, tried the default radio and various others.
So this is what happens - turn on navigation or maps, and it'll work for a moment, give me directions and locate me. 10-15seconds later, my position on the map has frozen and "GPS signal lost" is muttered. Reception on 4G and any network connection is lost as well. It'll stay out of action for about a minute, then pick it up again, and the whole failure starts over.
As mentioned ive tried various radios, the symptoms are the same.
I've tried a clean slate of CM10, the various nightlies etc to no avail, same problem.
Today I tried RebelROM (02122013.. android 4.1.1) - no issues! So I ask...
Has anyone else had this problem? Why might I be experiencing this on CM and not another ROM?
thanks
No one huh . Oh well I guess I'm one in a million.

Signal goes between full and none for no reason.

I recently have had an issue, and this only occurs on CyanogenMod (11 & 12). Basically, I'll be using my phone normally, but I'll notice my signal will go from full bars to no service every 30 seconds or so, it seems. That interval is to give you an idea. This issue does not occur on any other ROM that I've used (Cataclysm, PA, Rastapop, Stock, so forth). I've tried adding my APN as a fix but didn't seem to do anything. Information:
Sprint MVNO (Ting), running barebones CM, no gapps.
I'd love to get this solved, if anyone has ever figured this out. I've searched on Google and have seen no resolution, but have seen other's with the issue.
