Had the opportunity to have a go with one at an HTC event on Friday and I have to say the One S is a great phone. It's slim (slimmer than I was expecting), very light and the AMOLED screen is very bright (as you'd expect)
Sense 4 flies on it, no lag at all, and it's a very polished product. Fits nicely in the hand as well. Definitely worth a look if you don't want/can't afford the One X
While i can't say anything bad about the One X, as I have yet to hold one...... I just think that it's to big for a phone. I think the One S is going to fit perfectly.
Just my .02.
The One X IS a large phone, and the One S is noticeably smaller by comparison, but it's not enormous.
Having said that, you would not be disappointed with the S - seriously attractive phone
Well i would think, that being a chef, that having a large phone in my pocket might be a little daunting. But i will decide when they day comes
If you've held the Galaxy Nexus then the One X is not a lot bigger than that - a little wider, though
The One S is just nice, and the coating on the back means you're unlikely to drop it
Is it gonna be gorilla or gorilla 2 on this device?
Definitely looks a slick phone.

They just said Gorilla Glass but I'd imagine it will be newer than normal as it's a new device
Wouldn't they be advertising that like they do with the One X?

It's Gorilla 2.5D
[via]
I haven't had a chance to touch one yet, but I feel a better vibe to the One S over the Galaxy Nexus. I've been absolutely loving my Nexus One for just over 2 years. I enjoy the One S's influence from the Nexus One.
If the build, feel and performance match up to the hype, I might be less likely to grieve over the retirement of my Nexus One.
I don't have the heart to drop $550 for another Flagship. Sorry Google.

Don't know who compiled that spec list, but 2.5D does not refer to Gorilla Glass, but to the screen graphics technology.
Corning has just recently announced Gorilla Glass 2 - so it's either gonna be "Gorilla Glass" (1st gen.) or "Gorilla Glass 2".
Ive bought the one s today It really isn't that much smaller than the x but way slimmer! I love it, almost not noticeable weight and nice screen. Yes it has typical amoled artifacts compared to the really awesome screen of the x but you gotta look to find them
Absolutely fluid ui
Now all I gotta do is wait for s-off and custom roms. I hope anybody will develop for the s and not only for the x

the artifacts are not because of (am)oled but because of the fact that this display uses a pentile matrix. a prefer amoled over ips any day because of the superior contrast ... never had any problems with the sharpness of my galaxy s. sure you can see some artifacts at straight lines but you have to hold it very close to your eyes to be able to see it and you only do that when you are "grading" the display ...

This is exactly how I feel. The Nexus One/HTC Desire was such a perfect phone during its time. The design, the specs, the overall feel of the phone. I have yet to experience that with any other phone since. Not with the Nexus S, S2, or GNex despite all being just as popular or more. While the One S will be a bit big for my tastes, I'm willing to deal with it if I can have that experience again.

For me mostly two reasons.
1. The one s's display is big enough, x appears to be to big for a phone to me.
2. I don't like a phone for 600euro to be plastic. It feels just cheap compared to the s. Which really has a great feeling. Slim and ceramic. Brilliant
Other than this I saw some benchmarks and the snapdragon beats the tegra CPU

just wanted to share my experience i had today.
got a call from my local dealership that the One X had arrived, as i had shown huge interest in it.. as my previous phone got molested by my car..
went to take a look on the sexy thing. and the screen blew me away, but got a little disappointed when actually holding the phone, didn't get a "premium" feel that a 800$ phone should have. sure, it has a very practical poly carbonate shell casing etc..
but i had made up my mind anyway and was going to close the deal and walk away with the X, then the salesman opened up a drawer and put the One S in my hands.. it was not put up on display as they just arrived that hour.
well, what can i say?.. it really appealed to me, the thickness, the weight, the sturdiness, the cold matte surface.. it just felt so good that i bought it without even seeing it being turned on.. silly? i guess.. but we hit it off from the first second..
was worried about the screen as i just had a Razr, and was not so fond of the pentile screen, but this is something different.. better calibrated? who knows, it looks very nice..
i think last time i had this feeling for a phone out of the box was my first android, a htc hero.. and it have been about 8-10 android phones (even a ipone, brrrr.. that lasted 3 days i think) in between that.
hoping the community and developers will remember this phone also, when the smoke from the One X has settled.
well thats my two cents for today, good night from Norway...
What country has introuced HTC one X
or if USA which network has got it and how to get it
Nice. What would you say is better about the screen vs the Razr? Like is it less pixelated, the colors more accurate etc?

i would say that the colors are more accurate, and yes, not so pixelated as i noticed on the Razr. also not any "spots" when the screen is dark.

Awesome, thanks. Yeah it was my suspicion that Motorola did a poor job implementing the screen on their devices. I'm sure the screen will exhibit some of the shortcomings of the technology, but what I saw on the Moto phones was quite alarming.
You just made the wait for me even harder... I hope I get that same experience with the One S

Interesting...
I had just about made my mind up to go for a One S. I walked into an O2 shop in Germany today and they had a live One X display model, as well as dummy versions of both the One X and S. It was actually the One X that appealed more when I compared [the dummy versions] side-by-side due to the larger display size.
I guess I will have to wait until I can find a genuine One S on display to make my mind up...
Same happened to us my wife was all excited about the One X until she held it so she opted for the One S more user friendly

Recieved my One X on monday, and I'm already looking at this phone.
I guess I'll have to give it some time, but it feels too big and the battery really sucks.
Do you know anything about how the camera, battery and sound quality (from 3.5mm) is on the One S compared to the X?
Camera is the same, battery life will be better because of less cores and smaller screen, and sound quality I can't imagine is any different

Which firmware version do you have?
If you got the 1.26, then you should wait for the 1.27 ...
Battery life on the One X should be a lot better with this new version
Nevertheless, battery life on the One S will always be better (except for standby) due to the 28nm architecture and the lower resolution screen.

Engadget says that there is a difference in camera performance, altough hardware is exactly the same.
It seems that the One X performs a bit better as the software is more optimized.

Quintusdias; the wait is worth it..
Rousseauxy: couldnt tell, cause we had a cloudy day today. but as far as daylight it is no problem at all.. very bright and high contrast as Amoled is known for.
Ascot17; cant argue with you there, the One X screen is better.. but the feel of the phones compared next to each other left me no doubt.. the one X feels cheap compared to the S. and also the 4.3" screen is easier to handle grip-wise.. but specs on the X are awesome. but then again, the dual core Kraits are hardcore..
with the 28nm Krait cores battery life should be much better than the X. only had one charge on the phone so hard to say. but lasted to the day without any problem. been alot of fiddling to say the least!
Unclespoon; the camera is awesome. this is the best i have ever seen on a phone. even my wife's panasonic Lumix camera is struggling to keep up to this. HTC have been amazing at the camera front. if the camera is better on the X, i cant say since i didn't get to try it much. but i cant believe it is better since both phones runs the same hardware on the cameras..
Can't Wait
I just bought the One S today and it's charging right now so I've not used it yet. I read the reviews of the X and the S but went for the S due to the better battery life and the speed. The X may have more cores and a bigger screen but the S is meant to be faster and the screen is big enough for me
Just received mine, it's the most ****ing sexy phone I have ever seen. It's incredible. If I was hesitating between the One S, One X and the Galaxy Nexus, I don't regret for a second my choice.

Sweet, thx
I can completely share this experience. Went to look for both devices, honestly more eager for the X.. but having both of them directly in front of me I lost interest in the X completely and only focused on the S.. the difference in quality/haptic is huge.. sure, the display of the X is a blast.. but to cite my girlfriend who was standing right next to me in this situation (translated):
"are you totally nuts?! i know you for sure and i love you.. even for wanting to stay a little boy.. but that's not a mobile at all(One X)!! go and buy a freaking ipad or i don't know in addition but this is ridiculous...and it looks cheap compared to this stylish thing (One S)"
What should I say: she's absolutely right.

Have been into a phone shop today and had a play with both phones. Am going for the One S as well. It feels more comfortable in the hand. The One X looks really good but feels like a stretch for my thumb.
Just out of curiosity, talking small hands. Would any of you who have owned the device happen to have as small hands as I? I have gloves size 10 and 9(thight fit) and wonder if the S will be comfortable used one-handed. I've already ruled out the X on specs alone. No way my hands fit that 4.7" screen.
I'm starting a new thread because all the others I saw on this topic were 2 years old and that is a lifetime in technology world.
I accidentally forgot to take my phone out of my pocket when I went swimming. Worse it was a salt-water pool. So all the metal is corroded, no saving it. I had a Samsung Vibrant. But now looking for perhaps an upgrade.
What are some of the best models to buy? I'm not hugely into changing roms, I like to figure out one I like and stick with it. Also, I have T-mobile service.
So all I know on phone models are Samsung Galaxy S; SII, and SIII. Give me a good one please!
The new line of HTC phones, the One s and One X are pretty cool. Nice and light with amazing screens. The new HTC UI is also lovely.
the Samsung Galaxy S3 is also excellent. Quite similar in terms of weight and size to the HTC phones mentioned.
These are probably the best Android phones on the market at the moment. Theres also the iPhone 4S which is a great phone too, but with smaller screen size than most new Android devices.
Hope this helps
Sony has a flagship(high-end) phone called Xperia S. Hope that contributes to your choices.
Also, I have a tip for you, You should read online reviews on the phones that you are interested in, and, also read the specs carefully,You wont wanna end up with a 600MHz processor or a 2.x" screen, will you?
Best phone for me
I think the new Samsung Galaxy S III is the best phone yet because of its new features. Simply designed for human... hehe... Take a look at this website to know more: http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxys3/
jelly bean
for me if i want to buy a new phone right now i'll buy galaxy nexus. because it gets the most up-to-date android right now that is jelly bean(4.1).
The UI is not so different from the ics but many updates in the software such project butter and google now. you can google it and you'll be suprise.
The project butter make it buttery smooth, it can even match up with quad-core galaxy s3
So for me.Nexus is the one
Buy Galaxy SII and install S3 touchwizz.
If wifi calling were essential, the s2 or s3. Between those two, Itll be down to your budget.
If Wi-Fi calling is less of an importance to you, I'd say +1 on the galaxy nexus all the way.

Please elaborate. Why the SII when the SIII is available?
Which brings me to my next question. Does anyone have both an SGSIII and an HTC One X? I'd really like some feedback for those two.
I'm so impressed with the quality materials and the feel of the One X in hand. While I only tried it in the AT&T store, I really like the build quality, the solid feel, and the UI didn't look too bad either. But I must admit, I'm really a big fan of SWYPE, as offered on the Samsung phones.

I would say the Samsung Galaxy S3 would be the best, but as far as I know it have still some software bugs which need to be improved. If you dont want to pay too much money for a phone, you can choose the Samsung Galaxy S2. I have this one and i am happy with it. it is fast enough for these things I do (use internet, watch some movies while in a bus or subway, listen to musik, learning and play sometimes a game).
The S3 have more features and is faster and so on, but its your choice.
Depend on money, on things you want to do with it and maybe a bit how much you want to show that you have the best

Laggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg thats what the s3 lacks the one x has plenty
I have a One X and just picked up an S3 for my buddy and every time I play with an S3, I like it less and less. From the horribly plastic build, to its ugly design, to the crappy bluish pentile screen. As far as I'm concerned the only benefits it provides over the One X are the SD slot and extra RAM. The One X is superior in every other regard.

I'm speaking specifically of the S4 version of the One X which does not have any of the problems that the Tegra version has. In no way does the S3 rape the S4 One X in terms of performance or battery. They have the same SOC so they are completely comperable. Battery life in the S4 One X is ridiculous. I can get 2 days and over 6 hours screen on time. That's unheard of with android.
Sure the S3 is polycarbonate but it FEELS like a cheap plastic POS. And blue or white? Where's the black? They look like shiny plastic toys and they are fingerprint magnets. The One X feels solid and looks soo much nicer. I really think the build on the S3 belies the actual power of the phone. And sorry man, I'm glad you like the SAMOLED screen but it just can't touch the SLCD2 of the One X. Every reviewer on the internet thinks that the One X's screen is superior because well, it is. The S3's screen is over saturated, not bright at all, doesn't have the viewing angles that the One X has and the pentile is terribly noticeable. If it was a SAMOLED + it would be a different story but it's not. Pentile is a hideous technology and really destroys what would be a high quality screen. Also, at least on the blue model, the glass is tinted blue so the SCREEN is tinted blue. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Even the deepest black on the S3 has a noticeably blue tint to it. I saw it, the rep at the AT&T store saw it, and my buddy who owns one sees it and hates it. The only reason he got the S3 over the One X was because he needed the SD slot.
The S3 is a great device, no doubt, but when you take everything into acount, I really feel the S4 One X is a much better phone. I'm glad you like your S3, but to me it's akin to a family having a retarded child. They may love it to death, but it doesn't change the fact that it's retarded.

Samsung Galaxy S3 .... If you like big phones.. :silly:
I know how you feel. Any way if your getting a new phone you should get the galaxy s3. But if you want a galaxy s type phone then you should get the galaxy ace 2. It has an 800mhz prosesor dual core so it works like a 1 ghz prosesor but since the second core can be turned off when not needed the battery life on the galaxy ace 2 is increased greatly.
But by all means if you want a 4 core phone full of pow then you should get the galaxy 3. It has s voice. Also has the eye detection. So if you look away from the screen it will turn off. The s3 has a memory card slot. Lots of four core phones don't have that. It will be able to charge wirelessly in a couple of months.
So it really does come down to if you want to spend a hefty amount on a phone that you will probably keep for a few years.
Good luck on your new phone hunt. Hope I helped
PS sorry for the spelling. Btw I'm 13

I am enjoying the S3 so far with no huge complaints. Today I pulled out my original Droid Incredible to wipe and hand it down. The S3 replaced this only 2 weeks ago and I immediately noticed how beautiful the Incredible screen was compared to the S3. Yes the size is no comparison but the clarity and brightness of the original Incredible is so much better.

good lord, you're kidding, right? aside from the fact that the inc lcd is so far away from the actual digitizer compared to the s3, the pentile display on the inc makes it so easy to see pixels without even looking. i had mine powered up yesterday too, and compared to my rezound and my s3, it's got NOTHING on them.
The original DInc has a AMOLED and is beautiful. From the signatures of the replies I see a lot of Samsung owners so I know this is going nowhere but AMOLED beats all others.
If I can be called trolling then I can reply with what fanboys....a little kidding
you do know that the S3 is SUPER Amoled, right? with a higher PPI, higher resolution, etc?
and you can look at my sig and notice i own the Eris, Inc, View Tablet, and Rezound.
I guess it is like going to Best Buy and looking at the wall of TV and one person says I like that picture and the person next to you says no I like that one.....
I think the brightness seems less on the GS3, especially outside. Still like the GS3 over the new Inc 4G which could have been my other choice. HTC made a really small screen on the Inc 4G compared to the current market.
Wow I've owned both currently gs3 and I have to disagree COMPLETELY . sorry BT that's my opinion. Gs3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>dinc IMO way way to the next evolution of it don't matter. Again just my opinion

The droid charge screen beats the sgs3 hands down
VERIZON GALAXY S 3
With all of the Android devices I've owned, the best I've seen for clarity is the Rezound, no question. I've purposely looked for imperfections in the pixel layout and it's damn hard to see, only thing is the screen just isn't as vivid. I agree, the Charge also had a beautiful screen, but the one I had was plagued by the infamous "yellowing" on the right side of the screen that many GS2 owners experienced, that and the low RAM forced me to return it. The brightest screen I've used was on the Bionic, that thing was blinding on an all-white screen turned up all the way.
The GS3 screen is a little of everything. It's bright enough for me, very clear for a Pentile screen, vivid and clear colors, no imperfections... love it. So far this phone has been great, especially the data/GPS signal. That was surprising.
the S3 screen looks 100x better than the nexus, but i remember hearing it's the same tech..is that true? cuz my nexus looks awful lol it had the yellow tint (before i color modd'ed it) and there's terrible banding throughout...there's none on my S3

im coming from an inc to a rez to a GS3 and the gs3 screen is the best IMO
EDIT: I also have 2 galaxy nexi (yes 2 is nexi i think) and think the GS3 screen is much better
Hello, I decided to go for the One S (black, S4) after my Incredible S more or less gave up, and my work phone One V is just to poor to use daily.
My first impressions:
Amazingly fast, no lag anywhere. A big upgrade from both One V and Incredible S.
Size and design is beautiful, prettiest phone I ever saw.
I find it hard to use with one hand. It is a little too slippery.
The screen is only average, especially with text. I feel this is mainly due to the low resolution.
I was torn between the One S and One X, but decided the One X to be too large, although I much prefered its screen.
Now I think I might as well have bought the One X, if I am going to use 2 hands with the One S.
Of course I could get a slim skin or case for better grip. Any recommendations?
Or maybe I will just adapt to it after a while?
Overall it is a fantastic phone, just let down a little by one hand ergonomics and the screen.
Check out this one:

In my view, this is the best available. It is like a second skin for your One S and it's really handy so it is not slippery any more!

There's lots of choice in slim hard shell cases out there, spend some time browsing and you'll probably find something you like. Failing that a clear full body skin by Zagg or another maker might suit you.
Yea I already looked at Diztronic and Ghost Armor.
They look nice but I am not a fan of cases and skins.
I will use the phone a little more first, to see if I really need it.
you need from the reason the aluminum is soft and every drop will leave a mark for good.
ive got the Case Mate Tough Case my phone would be a smashed wreck if it wasn't for this case, seriously buy a decent case youll be glad you did

I have mine for over 6 months, always without case or skin. At first I found it a bit unwieldy. You will probably get used to the size and shape over time and start automatically gripping it right.
Personally never had a problem with the screen, coming from a Desire [3.7"WVGA], but it's a fact that the OneS [4.3"qHD] has lower resolution that the OneX and pentile matrix at that. It's very bright and saturated tho..
Bought the Htc genuine 742 transparent one. It's the thinnest and invisibile I saw. The best. Look at the Skullcandy too.

Lucky you... mine is laggy and with some issues...
Barely There case doesn't offer much protection if dropped but its comfortable grip is great for PREVENTING drops in the first place.

Second that. Using that case now. Allies for one handed use. Not sure it will provide a ton of protection, but helps with daily wear and tear.

Yes, the major drawback on One S is the display quality. While AMOLED performs very well on watching movies because of vivid colour/high contrast/pure black but the low resolution(QHD) isn't good for text reading.
Well, I like my One S because it's an one-hand device, light weight and slim. If you want to use a two-hand one, you should get a HTC Droid DNA instead.
If you really need an one-hand with 720p display, go for Sony Xperia V.
The xperia phones dont really suit me.
Anyway after some more use I am really liking my One S. Such a snappy phone. Camera is top notch too. And the size is great for typing in landscape.
Just tried a friends Note, that thing is huge, and seems slower.
There is more to screens than just what res. is used.
I rather have the qHD SAMOLED display over a TFT 720P screen any day of the week.
Personally I think the screens used for sony xperia devices look pretty poor overall.
What the one S display lacks in terms of sharpness/clarity, it makes up for having the best calibration (for SAMOLED) settings so colours aren't too saturated like the GS 2 and not too dull like the Galaxy nexus screen, whites are the best I have seen on a SAMOLED screen and the outdoor view-ability in sunshine is superb. Screen is sharp enough and text looks fine, obviously when next to a LCD based screen it won't look as good, that is mainly due to the pixel arrangement, pentile VS RGB.
Anandtech sum the screen of the S up well:

Well, I very love my One S simply because of size, durable and amazing camera like you but the low resolution really make me sad. If HTC next year going to release an One S like model(I want 4.3" with light weight) with upgraded display, probably I will get it.
Note I and Note II got a really big different on speed. Note I is running A9 dual core with 1GB ram while Note II got A9 quad core plus 2GB ram. Pretty much a double speed on Note II.

I got a Sony Xperia S before One S, got much sharper text , I sold it because cpu slow and hot and camera suck at really slow speed.
Well, this is well-know just a matter of taste while some guys like amoled and some others prefer TFT/IPS. They both have pros and cons.
But the question here isn't related to panel, it's all about the resolution things. If you use a 720P amoled for text reading, it will still outperformed our QHD.
I have had this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rugged-Rubb...-Hard-Case-Cover-Skin-cellphone-/170876744327 I think its great but maybe a little large. The price has gone down 46 cents in the last 4 months too.
It amuses me how people ***** and moan about screen res qhd vs tft etc etc etc.
I think the screen is great.
1) I can see the text clearly.
2) I can see screen in daylight.
You might as well go around comparing everything to anything else, this dog is better than this one - this pair of crotchless panties is better than that pair - my **** is better than your **** and so I could carry on but seriously people you knew what you were buying and so what if one screen is supposedly better than another. If you dont like it sell it and buy something else just please shut up moaning!
I got one of the body glove cases and it is doing the job. Makes it look pretty cool too!

It doesn't take a genius to see that this phone offers way beyond what other manufacturers are capable of. Any company can put together a body and screen and call it a phone, but Samsung not only puts the best hardware, they have the best software. What a beautiful phone. Just like the S3, and S2 before that, the S4 is easily going to win the award. It bascially made all other phones obsolete. (sans spen). Good job Sammy.
Matter of opinion but I agree with you

good question
OP, you're delusional if you can't admit that the HTC One is an incredible piece of hardware and software in its own right.
it'll be a close call for the phone of the year - if its to be one of these 2, i am sure that opinion will be just as divided as it is now.

I have to agree although i sense you being a little bias towards the HTC One. But yeah, in my opinion there are 2 2013 Flagship phones that matter, S IV and HTC One. The rest IS obsolete so far and that is including the XZ and the optimus G pro ( not that its a bad phone but it wont compete).

HTC One is my choice - no doubt - I waited until GS4 was announced before i decided though so i was still hoping samsung could pull something out of the bag.
you're right, theres nothing else out now that comes close to either of them but it will be interesting to see next Nexus phone though.
In my view HTC Sense is quite smoother, excellent and amazing over touchwiz.
It is my opinion only. But beware of HTC One. It's gonna be a tug of war.
And what about the Note2(or coming Note3)? Doesn't it deserve a nomination?

Oh yeah definitely. Nexus(es) are always relevant regardless. I also waited for the S IV announcement to make up my mind between the 2 and chose S 4. But i will at some point get the HTC One and carry both

What's so special about the One other than the nice animations and battery consuming Blink?
I had an HTC before with Sense 4, and the software didn't impress me at all.

Note 3 isn't out yet and note 2, while being one of the best phone ever isn't a flagship for this year. We are just comparing the new devices. But yeah note 2 is a beast no doubt.

looking at software only, sense 5 is MUCH closer to stock android than any other version previously.
they've also removed much of the bloat that was in other versions.
(for the record, i didnt care much for previous versions of sense either, usually preferred stock android)
this is off topic though.
on topic, yea i was going to mention the note 3 - i dunno though, im not entirely happy with it being called a phone, for me its TOO big as i believe its 5.5"?
5" is really pushing it IMO.
I'm a Galaxy S fan and I think that unfortunately the S4 is being released too early.
now every manufacturer who comes out with a flagship phone will try to top it and probably succeed :/
I wonder if Apple will be able to with the new iPhone

Samsung S4's Super OLED screen has a stunning 441ppi, which is more than the iPhone 5 but less than the HTC One (468).
S4 - Plastic build.
ONE- Premium built.
The ultra pixel camera of ONE beats up 13MP camera.
In terms of speed S4 is the winner but this doesn't mean that ONE is not a good phone.
Am not contradicting with you, am saying "what's so special about One"

Some people love super amoled, while some don't care for it. The way I see it, samsung and htc make the best screens on the market today. I prefer my Note 2's super amoled over the HTC One X's Super LCD 2, so I am thinking I am going to prefer the S4 screen over the One.
However the camera on the One has been getting some mixed reviews. It's being seen that it does take great pictures in low light settings due to the better absorption from the lesser pixels, but pictures are as sharp as those seen on other 8 MP camera, especially when zooming in on the pictures. For most people it doesn't matter, but to say that the One's camera "beats up" the camera on the S4 is a bit over sighted especially since we haven't seen any comparable shots taken between the two cameras.

there is one comparison that ive seen which was done at the samsung event, its over on the one forum if you're interested.
in that case the One is clearly better - but then again it was fairly low light, and one had final software - im sure gs4 did not.

There are few images of HTC ONE's camera captures on techradar site.
They said that in a low light and darker places HTC One has an incredible performance where iphone5 and S3 failed to capture details of the image in those conditions.
Am sure the cam of One is superb and excellent.

Its good in low light conditions.. but not good when u view in your laptop or zoom in on your phone or good for outside shots or bright conditions..

it's really not complicated.
the HTC One has a good camera - i dont think you will find a review that doesnt say that.
on the other hand, the same people all agree that it's lacking in detail - no big surprise. that's the price you pay for low light performance.
those who know enough about camera variables to tinker with the settings will be able to get very similar results on both phones regarding colour etc.
if you don't care about low light performance, then almost certainly gs4 camera wins for you (if you are only considering those 2 phones), if you do care about low light and also image stabilisation, then HTC wins.
easy.
If u read what I said instead of jumping on me because of your fanboyism, you wil read that I said they take good low light photos.. and pics good for facebook.. but I have a life outside facebook.. only max 5 percent of the photos I take get on it.. some people dont use fb.... so I dont need a 4mp..sorry.. and if u check verge, pocketnow and even watch their shows on youtube, you will easily hear them saying that htc is a fail in camera..
.....
