I want to update my phone to android 4.0 but it is not released for my phone yet.. so I m trying to update it manually I saw to many discussions but I can't find the correct way to do so.. any help and dp I need to root my phone to do it.. i already s-off it

you can unlock it via htcdev and then use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275 to root it.
And yes xda has a forum for wildfire s

I have a sensation xe and today i have received update messages to the my phone...(android 4 whit sens 3.6 ..293.46 MB)
But my phone is S-OFF and my friends said to me that i cant received that updates because my phone is S-OFF and if update it my phone will not on other!!
Do i must be S-ON my phone to can update it???
Have a read of the guide below. You can be S-Off and get the update.

That guide is kinda needed in this instance. Main question for the OP is are you using CWM? If so then follow my guide (making allowances for your version of RUU as you may not be on the EU unbranded handset)
Hi guys i have a sensation XE that has been running ARHD for about three months. A couple of my apps wont download from the market as it says not compatible with our device however they worked before i rooted and changed roms.
Now the ICS official update has been released by HTC i was hoping to return to stock And carry out the official htc ics update to see if that solves the problem with the aps If any knows how i do this please get in touch? i know i need an ruu but cant find one that works.
Any help greatly appreciated.

What do you mean you can't find one? If you are supercid-ed then you can use any one of them.
i need an ruu that is for the xe but the only ones i can find are ics for normal sensation if anyone can link to a ruu for sensation xe that would be appreciated

Sorry to tell you this, but the problem you are having with your apps is because you are using ICS Android not because you are using a custom ROM. A lot of apps have not been updated to work with Android 4.0.3. I know this because I had to use my HD2 while I am waiting on my sensation to be repaired and I am using ICS on it. A couple of my regular apps would not work on my HD2 namely G+ go figure that one, you would think Google would have already updated it but it would not work on 4.0.4 but it will work on 4.0.3. Anyway I am pretty sure this is your problem.
Hi , so i rooted my htc sensation because i got tired of waiting for the ota update but now want to unroot the sensation because i want to receive the ota update when it does come out. But the thing is i like the hq camera mod if i unroot the sensation will i somehow still be able to mod the camera. will i still have s - off after unrooting ? please help me step by step on how to unroot ? i made a back up before i rooted the sensation , will this help at all ? thank you for reading and please help !? you know what they say asking questions is good lol
No you can't if its unrooted you cant install any mods that require root. Having a nandroid backup before the root won't help. The root is buried/locked down deep deep in your system. You have to do it manually. I can't seem to find it because I'm in my phone. But there is a guide. Please search around in YouTube, the xda forums, high on android, and android forums.

I just got my HTC sensation 4g a few days ago and im new to it.my hboot is 1.27 and my android version is 4.0.3 and I want to update it to da best Rom or something and I'm new to this site my bad if I'm in da wrong section
