Invalid token or your download link has expired - Android General

Hello Android users,
I have a problem which I tried to resolve it but cannot. Whenever I try to download anything from Dev-Host website, I get the following error
"Invalid token or your download link has expired. Please click here and try your download again".
I have tried different browsers and even tried different internet by tethering my phone. I think the problem is with my computer and I have no idea how to fix it. I have seen users on XDA forum asking the same questions but I have not seen any thread where solution was given. Any help to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated.

This was driving me nuts as well. Basically, they only allow downloads via our devices. It could be an early attempt at preventing device mismatches during download (which might be cool, but probably not the case), more likely this is just a silly attempt to thwart piracy and better track downloads.
Either way, like me, your preferred method of download is via a computer, something that's apparently not allowed... Simple answer, use your device, walla, the download works.
Here's a couple freebies for the Dev-Host Admin's.
1) Clarify that downloads are available ONLY via ones device. (if that is the case)
2) Don't alienate computer users, embrace us. Don't force us to use hacks, scripts, etc... This brews dissension in the ranks... Instead embed a barcode on each download page. You get what you want, we don't waste time!!

If possible I would like to have a few users test a download on their device and computer using the following link http://d-h.st/OXO.
Please post below if you can download from both. If you are unable to download on one or both please list your operating system, browser, and error you may receive.
We will immediately begin troubleshooting and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
NOTE: You will receive an error if you are trying to download http://alpha.d-h.st/OXO?action=download rather than the correct URL which is http://d-h.st/OXO so always make sure the uploader has a properly formatted link.

Can you confirm you are having these issues also? This sounds like an issue that was resolved over a month ago.

We have made a few changes which might correct the issues select few are having. If you are one of the users that have been experiencing issues downloading please test again with http://d-h.st/OXO

Just making note of Dev-Host Response.....
Shortly after my post, I was contacted by a Dev-Host admin regarding my download issues. As of today's date, I am now able to download via any browser without error. My hats off to the quick response on the part of the admins at Dev-Host. Thanks guys....

Download Manager

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right section or if i can even talk about this hear as it isnt exactly a phone but..... Just wondering if their is a download manager available for windows mobile 6 (I'm currently using an ipaq 114 ). I've heard that JDownloader may be able to be installed on it using some sort of Java Midlet but not sure how to do that, have been searching but wondered if their where any other premium download managers that could handle rapidshare.
Thanks
there are many
http://www.google.com/search?source...pocketpc&meta=lr=&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
I've seen a few but what I'm looking for is one that is like the program "JDownloader". Where I could set up a bunch of links in a group (say a linux ISO that has been collected into 10 files but I dont want to download, I just want to enque) and then when I get to work download through the wifi their. But there are some smaller files (ROM's, Freeware, Patches) that I would like to download immediately.
I also don't know if these programs allow importing of links, say copying and pasting a large collection of links. Best example I can think of is last night when I tried to download the original night of the living dead (available free under public license), I would of had to click each link and allow to download, but with JDownloader juts select the links and copy and paste. I'm not sure if this is a common feature of download managers as I haven't had much experience with them!
I was also unsure if the download programs would work within a premium rapidshare account, but I guess I would just have to log onto it.
I'm also still waiting for my ipaq, but with the dedicated program WMDownloader I assumed that downloading from rapidshare through PPC would be a pain and was looking for something to handle my premium account.
I didnt just come on here without searching Been trying to read up on as much as I can before posting questions I can later find an answer to through google! haha. Thanks for the link though, but from my browsing history I can see I've already been on the first 8 pages. lol

LOL U CAN USE WIN MOBILE DOWNLOAD ACCELARATOR FORM ADISASTA SITE..
IT IS GOOD..
BUT FOR RAPIDSHARE U HAVE TO USE YOUR PC NOT PPC....
AND WMDOWNLOADER IS GOING ON HUGE CHANGES LIKE COPY PASTE SUPPORT AND OTHER SITES SUPPORT..
SO WAIT UNTILL DEV.. MAKE A NEW WORLD..
I figured their must be one available... They're out for android and seems like downloading from rapidshare and other such sites while using a wifi hotspot would make sense....
Ok - Well back to the drawing board on this idea. Now gotta look for a full featured PC about the size of a PPC that can fit in my pocket and have the ability to download from rapidshare...

Quick suggestion...

I may be a junior user here, but I have been surfing these forums for updates, ROMs and anything that looks like it could be useful.
I think the fact that you have to go through the process of downloading every file and installing all software before you find out it doesn't work, and then try another method, only to find out that doesn't work, is very boring and annoying.
My main suggestion here is that users who download the file would be encouraged to check a box, either --successful
or --unsuccessful
which would tell me, the future downloader, if the download is likely to work, or not.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, if you do bother, and bump if you would like to see this. Moderators, please take this suggestion into account.
Thanks, Andy

[REQ][APP] Mobage.apk

I have a Phone that isn't 'supported' by Mobage, it runs fine and smoothly on my phone though. Since it's not 'supported' I can't download it via the Market, and it would be awesome if someone could post it here for me, and the community. It will work until it's updated, like always.
Thanks in advance.

No one has or is willing to snag a quick .apk?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1282123
I did a quick google search and found the apk posted in this thread from a couple months ago. I did verify the link does still work. The link for the apk is posted in the 6th post.
I've tried that one and on launch it asks too update, brings me straight to the Market and says "No results found.", I need the newest version.
Is this what you're looking for?
Yes that's it, but its in Chinese or something. xD
When I open the game We Rule, which requires Mobage, it says I still don't have Mobage, I'm not sure if it's because the version, or the fact that it's a Chinese version.
Here's my request thread. Download links still work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206230
Mobage APK also in Post #6 (I don't think it's the newest version though)
Edit: it might be the same apk posted earlier
Yea, I've already checked all the posts here on the website, all of them are out of date, they ask you to update but you can't.
that Mobage client is in Japanese and serves as a gateway to play several web based games (in japanese).
to use it you need an account at Yahoo! Japan http://yahoo-mbga.jp/
I don't think you need any mobage client for We Rule or Tiny Tower... but they seem to work only in some roms... at least, while being mark as compatible with my Nexus S they just force close at start (it's updated to ICS)
pd. I tested this two versions and both work perfectly today but, as I say, they are to access the japanese mobage:
http://www.filesonic.es/file/Vq6F9JL/mobage.20111005_v2.0.2.apk
http://www.filesonic.es/file/kkYWQiF/mobage.20111212_2.0.3.apk <- Current version
I don't know what to press though, I can't read any of it. When I open We Rule it asks me to download it, if I press download it brings me to the Market and says nothing found, if I click no the app closes instantly.
I have an LG Esteem, it's rooted, however I also tried un-rooted with same results.
Also thanks to everyone who has tried to help so far, and happy new years to all

[Q] Bad "MultiUpload"

When on xda-developers website: anytime I've had a link on the website which required me to go to Multiupload to get a file to download, I am always redirected to this website, lnx.lu & I can't get the file I wanted. This VERY aggravating!!!! Is this just me or are others experiencing this also?
lnx.lu is a site forwarder. It's like go.to/blah, or tinyurl.com/blah, except that you also get money the more people click on your link. The site probably requires javascript enabled to function. Also, some mobile browsesrs don't like these forwarding sites, and will throw an error. Worse come to worst, find a direct link to the file, or just search the internet for the file name.

You're probably correct, but I have noticed this result using more than one link on xda-developers, in fact there were quite a few. Also, I have used many links before, even ones that now guide me to this page. It makes me think that 1) I have something wrong w/my PC or 2) the site has been compromised (HIGHL UNLIKELY).
& oh, BTW, this happened using my desktop, not a mobile browser.

NeedROM.com

The Registration process on Needrom.com is not working for me (No password sent to me to get into the site, which also stops you contacting them to let them know of your problem!), anyone else finding that?
Thanks

How do you expect anyone here to do anything about it. XDA is not and does not associate with needrom, it is not even allowed to post links here from needrom. That's something you'll have to take up with them. Try using a different PC or device to register there then contact them about the issue.
I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
To help others, if they pick up this thread, I have found that if you register on needrom using Microsoft Edge, whilst it appears to complete, you do not get the email enabling your account. If you use another browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox etc) it works fine.
I cannot explain why.

I would be careful. That site is not trusted and has been known to include malware in the roms they post.
