Hi,
is there any way to limit the number of synced contacts within android? My car cit only supports a specific number (I don't know how many) of contacts and if it's more it will just loose connection.
So I want to limit the number of synced contacts for the bluetooth connection. Lateron on could maybe set up an extra list, which are to sync.
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks for any help

Does anyone know how I can coy my contacts to the phonbook?
MY problem is with my 750 to sync with my blutooth in my car. For some reason it only picks up what's in my phonebook and not from my contacts? It syncs my voicemail number and i realised that's the only number in my phonebook. But i can't find where to enter a number in the phonebook.
i recently went into the contacts list on my xda orbit 2
only to find it was only showing just 2 contacts which were listed on my sim card,
i cannot see any of my outlook contacts at all ?
if i wish to phone anyone who was on my contacts list,
i have to find MMS from this person and dial from there,
contact is showing correctly as sender of sms as per listing in contacts
except i cannot view the list showing 'ALL' contacts
any help appreciated folks
-thanks
Dont you have a filter in the contacts view?
hi,
my orbits filter settings are set to exactly the same as my mrs's orbit2
her contacts list is a-o-k
sms text messages recieved prior to this problem ALL show senders name as it was listed in contacts & also the number as was provided when i created the contact
ALA - orbit seems to be using the original contacts list to provide sender details for text messages recieved prior to error happening,
yet.....
will NOT allow me to access the contacts details etc,
anyone got any input / ideas etc, as im well n truely stuck without these contacts
same troubles
I have also found that on regular occasions that my Orbit 2 looses all the ring tones and name tags tied to contacts.. I can reset them all and within a few weeks they go back to default... Gets most annoying when you try to set tones to know who is calling..
AFAIK that's a Registry Error.
It's a common thing in MS Windows (including Windows Mobile) to have registry errors.
Only 2 things to solve this kind of problem:
Restore from the latest backup
Hard Reset
Hi guys, wasn't sure where to post this. (Move if required).
But I've been having problems with this app call logging on the 'My Calendar' from HTC Sense (HTC Legend Unrooted 2.1) instead of the designated Calendar.
Is there a way to get around this problem? I've tried re-adding it onto the Calendar but it's only the default HTC Calendar 'My Calendar'. It's a little frustrating as I can't view it on the web, only on my phone defeating the purpose of what I intended.
I created a special calendar called Phone Calls in GCal (I am assuming you use GCal), synced that calendar with the phone then went into CallTrack and set Phone Calls as the calendar to use. This the best option because you can unsync Phone Calls calendar from your phone but still have CallTrack update to Phone Calls. That way you can continue to track the call without cluttering up your calendar views. Hope that helps.
No I have a separate calendar for it which I assign but it insists to assign itself to HTC's default 'My Calendar' on sense.
I am using this CallTrack app too on my Galaxy S and created a new calendar call "Phone Calls" to track all the calls. However though it seems like I can see all call logs on my Galaxy S "Phone Call" calendar, I cannot seem to sync them onto my main Google Calendar, i.e. if I login to my Gmail through a PC and open up the calendar, it only shows the "Phone Calls" calendar without any entries. Can anyone confirm if this is normal or is this a bug? If I have to reset the Galaxy S and reload all the apps and settings, will the "Phone Call" calendar still shows the historical entries?
Hello, I am having a problem syncing my Gmail contacts after doing a factory reset on my GS7. The contact name, number, and email all sync up fine. But the group classifications are gone, each of my contacts are assigned to a group. For refrence, I have the same account/contact list on my business phone (note 4) and the group assignments are still correct. On my desktop these groups have also been stripped off at some point. This has had to occur recently because I switch devices every month or so, and this is the first problem syncing. So I have to assume my business phone (note 4) is the problem. Under settings I'm not seeing any sync errors at all on either device. Any advice?
Bump
I have an annoying problem with my cars aftermarket Alpine ILX-702D media player bluetooth. Every contact that uses Whatsapp has their phone number twice in the Alpine's contacts list and that confuses the player and it doesn't show the callers name when receiving a call. If the contact doesn't use Whatsapp, there is only one number in the list and the callers name does show. There are no duplicate contacts, only duplicate numbers with some contacts.
Is there any way to control what details is synced via bluetooth? I've checked in the OP contacts app to only show Google contacs but that does not affect bt-sync.
