Are you asking how to return your phone to STOCK from Endy? or are you asking how to get to Endy from Stock?
either way it helps if you show us your full boot loader screen details

Dare I ask why?

I have the original 2.3.5 ROM. First I want to try Endymion but I want to make sure that it is able to return to the original ROM.

Maybe he's going to be ready for the fresh Android ICS?
For example, I also still have an idea to revert everything back to stock because of ICS.

I'm afraid that as I've never used HTCDEV, as my device is S-OFF permanent having using XTC-Clip its not a process that I've ever considered.
I believe that it might be possible, but complicated as you've unlocked using HTCDEV and will require to RELOCK, although I don't personally feel confident enough to instruct anyone how to do it as I've never done it myself, if it is possible then the information is here in the forum, as the question has been asked time and time again.
But, I'd say if you only wanted to do it to receive the OTA update, you're probably be better off installing a custom that is build from the update, which will probably be out in the wild before most users get the OTA. At least thats what I plan on doing.

You need to flash stock recovery, then PG88IMG.zip with ROM, which has same hboot.
Trying this with desire S 0.98.0002 S-off with Revolutionary, flashed 1.48(same Hboot),after flashing 2.10 device not booted.
Try this at your own risk!!!

[Q] HBOOT Locked but still able to root?

Hi,
i just want to understand something, i was S-Off ,CWR and rooted on my stock ROM. There was a new update so i installed the new official ROM found from here:
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.3_Radio_10.56.9035 .00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_219990_signed

After that i installed again the CWR and rooted my phone again with no problem at all. I went to HBOOT today and i saw this:
*** LOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.18.0000
RADIO-10.14.9035.01_M
eMMC-boot

and my question is how did i installed CWR and rooted while my bootloader is locked? Is the locked means that the bootloader can not been writen so i can not install the CWR?
Thanks.
Totally normal. Notice the S-Off part? You have a new hboot now, that's all. If you want extended fastboot commands you'll need to re-run revolutionary or flash the eng hboot. If you don't need them, then you are good to go. Just remember, S-Off IS S-Off
suprised s-off survied the RUU

Why do you want to s-on? Why not simply flash a custom that is built from same software release and will contain more functionality and be quicker?
Using Cwm simply down load zip and flash for custom or install pre rooted stock of ota release from development area look in INDEX thread for links
Swyped from my Desire S using XDA Premium
I don't like custom roms ever since I done s-off and installed CWM my fones been playing up so soon might have 2 send it in

there is a thread on here in the developer sectin caled returning to s-on and stock rom .in that thread maybe 3 posts down is a link to a .img fie. i used that from fastboot to enable installing of an unocked hboot which then let me use the vodaphone rru you to return to s-0n and stock.
WARNING vodafone have not released the ota for the desire s yet so you would be doing all this for nothing,
EDIT ignore my advice, the first time i did this it worked fine,i just tried it again and now cannot even enter fastboot and have bricked my desire s

Real issues with RUU update

OK, here's the skinny:
Win7Ulti 64bit
2x Desire S (one orange branded, one stock)
I have tried updating both from the official RUU from HTC both stall copying the update to the phone and after an hour or so, pulling the cable drops to the bootloader.
I have since unlocked the Orange phone from the HTCDev site, still no joy. I've also tried the PG88IMG zip, which is found, loads then drops back to the bootloader.

Any ideas where I can go from here?
I'm assuming it's my hboot version, everyone seems to be talking about 2.00.2002. Going to try updating it.
As you are S-ON, use my guide for downgrade and use your preferred RUU. If you have followed it correctly, you shouldn't have any problems.

Err, not sure what I should be downgrading, as I'm already on 2.00.0002. Should I be going to lower than this still?

You don't need to downgrade anything if you are using the latest released RUU.
Your bootloader does need to be locked which yours is not.
Let me clear what I've said: you can follow my guide (downgrading guide), but instead of using a downgrade RUU. Use the one that you prefer, may it be the latest RUU (upgrade your hboot, rom, etc), or old (downgrade your hboot, rom, etc). The guide should help you successfully RUU your phones.
Afaik, the PG88IMG.zip update method is only applicable for S-OFF devices. I may need to be corrected here.

K, will try locking again and running the RUU.

S-off hboot 2.02

Is there a way of getting s-off with hboot 2.02?
Search truly is your friend. A question almost identically to yours is three threads down, there this link was posted

[GUIDE] Official HBOOT v2.xx Downgrade to OLD HBOOT
Now the funny thing is, you posted in that thread as well as creating several threads where you've asked essentially the same questions.

I ment getting s-off without downgrading
No, the only way to s-off the saga is to downgrade.

Why do things have to be complicated
Sent from HTC desire S Android 4.0.4
Its a lot easier than it looks, once you start you'll be suprised how quickly you get through it. If you're not comfortable then just unlock the bootloader and flash the kernels through adb.

HBOOT-2.02.0002 S-OFF (android 2.3.7)
Hi everyone,
I have searched the forum but could not find the info i need.
I own HTC desire S, i managed to unlock it with htcdev and flash Reaper v4 Rom (android 2.3.7 without sense).
Now i would like to try 4.2.2 stock version but for this one i have to go S-OFF.
To go S-OFF i have to downgrade hboot.
my bootloader looks like this:
***UNLOCKED***
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.02.0002
RADIO-3831.19.00.110
eMMC-boot
so i'm a little confused, and do not know what should i do first to make it S-OFF.
Do i have to flash other rom in order to downgrade hboot or the downgrade is possible with the current rom?
Do i have to make the device locked again?
is here some order i must follow?
thanks u'all

You don't have to be S-off you just have to flash the relevant boot.img extracted from the zip and flash it via fastboot.

HTC Sensation - back to completely stock

Hey guys,
i want to sell the HTC of my girlfriend and want to bring it back to 100% stock.
So, there are plenty of guides but most of them with s-off and changing CID etc.
so here are the current infos:
*UNLOCKED*
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
H-BOOT 1.27
Currently running a MIUI rom on it. So basically, do i just need to flash a stock RUU, wipe everything and its fine?
Thanks
// Woops, wrong thread. already reported for moving , sorry!
