Must be a placebo effect. Froyo (Specially stock) doesn't support equalizers..

No, DSP still doesn't work, at least for me. And installing Volume+ isn't a solution (and to be honest, I barely notice any changes while using it..)

same with me....DSP FC's....
but i found a guys comment on the original thread about this DSP issue and i found that the DSP FC issue is due to one file called libaudioeffect_ini.so
I haven't tried it....maybe we can remove that file from the zip and then flash it....
But it must be first time flash.....we cant get DSP working by doing this after DSP FC's.

I have here a modified version of XLOUD+BEATS By RockoDev, I edited his script a little and fixed the bug on his port, now all apps should be compatible with xloud and beats audio

having a backup of your current ROM before install this will solve this problem. it won't harm you. believe me
btw, I've see the installation files. this mod add some file into /bin, /etc, /framework, and /lib under /system. it will also replace some file under /system/etc/audio but i thought they're just audio setting file. it seems this mod is safe. I'll give a shot.

honestly when trying to uninstall by deleting the installed files from system will make situations a lot worse, during testing phase of the fix i found out several values were incorrect for the settings on our SGY, so i had to remove them and manually flash it again, that made it work,
anyways, can anyone else verify this fix?

you put a *jar file in the /framework. it block any application who acces some sound lib. now I can't acces proplayer's equalizer setting. my dsp manager is forced close too (lol)
btw, i thought the old beats audio works better. to be honest, your mod seems improve some aspect in sound quality but it doesn't give any bassbost at all. its good for accoustic. but I'm used to hear a lot of rock music. no bassboost is a bad news for me. sorry.

bassboost is acually available as you can see in some of the files
\system\etc\soundimage

\system\lib\soundfx

try using a different audio device or a HQ audio device
in my case it seems that your b1.jar is block acces for any application who use those file. I'm testing it with proplayer and it said that another application is block the acces

thats not necessary...i'm using my own custom rom. just need to reinstall it. it only need less than a minute
recording FM Radio a poss ?
I wonder whether "beats" is useful to record directly FM radio audio somehow. with Gingerbread that is not possible without use of native SDK afaik.

I just flashed Creeds v2.5 so no DSP Manager installed, I followed your instructions to flash the xLoud+Beats then download the DSP Manager and install it but didn't run it just yet not until I flash the DSP Manager update. I did just that then replaced the music player with the modded one, DSP Manager still force closed.
Now I can't remove DSP Manager after I flashed the update.

you can remove the app manually by deleting the apk file in system/app and the dex file in /data/dalvik-cache.

I am using ChobitsDigitalis V1.4b. Did you follow the SAME instructions? I am getting force close in DSP Manager.

The Voodoo sound app doesnt support sgsl gt-i9003. Have you guys found any alternatives for it.
I am not satisfied with the volume and bass output of the phone on my Sennheiser HD201 Headphones. Hence I am looking for apps to boost the output.
I know voodoo doesnt support our phone's hardware so I am looking for alternative solutions. Please post if you know of any.

I think quality is better than perious version but all thing is what you think!

How can I uninstall the stock dsp equalizer pack that comes preinstalled in CM9/10?

why would you need this thing while you could use player such as Poweramp and have its own integrated equalizer (which is by the way - freaking awesome)
I wasn't able to uninstall dsp manager so I flashed it over. The bass distortion on the speaker persists, which is the main problem I had with last audio. Besides that, audio quality in headphones is perfect (can't feel any difference from previous drivers).
You must delete dsp manager!

I uninstalled DSP manager with titanium backup.
But even I can't feel the difference from the previous drivers. And I have Sony professional(forgot the model no.) headphones.

I use Beats headphones and quality is better than perilous version.also it supports more kind of headphones and slightly better bass.
and quality is different on headphone types!
you can see size difference between this and perious version drivers!!!

I guess you're on the wrong forum. Cause galaxy s plus doesn't have cm10.1 yet. You could try and see if it works

alireza how can I remove the files installed by flashing audio beats pack, 'cuz I can't see any difference between the moment before installation, and the moment after installation and besides, I've tryed to install the equilazer application from play store and it gives me error

It's because he didn't add the program( libs ) for it to work properly ! :laugh::angel:
I think he has a Hidden agenda for it !
I also now think Custom should work as i don't like beats or SRS I now make do with the Dolby and other EQ app :laugh:
