Dear all,
brand new comer to XDA.
there is a question need your experience to help to figure it out: much appreciated for your help
there is a batch of 9020 onboard.
white is 9020A, black is 9020T.
white date of manufacture is in March.
black date of Manufacture is in Jan.
all of them are SA screen.
Actually, a lot of chinese guys fancy SA 9020, they are waiting for this for many months. However, we are sure these are brand new or used or refresh one.
one question is the infront frame has seam??? 9023 black does not have it.
pls see below pic. has you guys meet this before? is it usual or maybe the sales changed the frame and back?

below are label in battery container: does it mean this machine should be shipped to Mexico??
carrier info is ATT, so the cell phone should manufacture for ATT. however, label mentioned it shuld be shipped to mexico.
I have the white 9020a and I don't see a seam on mine. could you provide a reference point as to where the seam is other than the picture e.g. which side, top/bottom etc.?
most of them are on top, right side. slight seam,
one person who get the white one mentioned her device has seam on both side of top.
we just question that we think there should not be like this as Samsung should have good quality.
is it the problem for the mold? or for this batch they use the different mold? or the sales changed the cover?
by the way, this cellphone should be shipped to Mexico, does it mean anything?
dear friend, what is the manufacture date for your cell phone? is it ATT for US? would you pls look at the back carefully, see whether it is same to yours.

Yeah my phone doesn't have any seams on the device. Additionally, my sticker says it was manufactured in 3/2011.
The FCC label also has Spanish on it..

"FCC label also has spanish on it" you mean your one or in my picture? I know the label in my picture has Spanish, so we think it should be shipped to Mexico. if it is on your one, can I get the picture? just want to tracking it.
we just questioned that whether it is new one or 14 days or refresh one.
does mexico has 14 days policy?
did you compare the back cover with your one? is it same, if possible, can I get a clear picture for your back cover? actually, white one NFC label is much thicker than black one.

Mine's not here yet, but our UPS guy shows up between 11-12 here at the office everyday. I've got th security cam pointed at the front door, waiting on that beautiful brown machine to roll up. I keep thinking i hear the screeching brakes i always hear before it shows up. I just finished a 16oz Monster too, so i'm all jittery.

Seriously, i've never gotten this excited about a phone. I bought the Atrix 2 on launch day in th store, and it was my favorite android phone...but i didn't get this excited about it. I think it's the camera that's doing it for me!
I am so ready to get mine as well unfortunately I gotta wait til tomorrow
And just think.. Some are showing Monday for UPS delivery
I am in on Friday
So my boss won't let me take tomorrow off due to the fact he wants to play with it....=-(

No, it's definitely gray. My cam must make it look black.
So people have all the luck when it comes to getting their toys early. UPS says my phone is still in Dallas Airport. Hate waiting, at least tomorrow it should arrive.

that's what i said. Theres even a sticky copy of it in the box if you have to send it in for service that you attached to the back.
Also, putting my sim card in didnt' work. I'm on a regular 3G data plan now, the new APN is different.

Hello, I'm new on the forums, greetings from Spain. Please excuse me for my English.
With the title I have said almost everything In my country is very difficult to find the invisible shield for i9103 so I decided to take the risk and ordered the one for sgs2 thinking about cutting it to make it fit, but It wasn't even necessary, it fits almost perfectly.
So if some of you had this question this is the answer
dont u face problem with home button size, there is big difference in size of sgr and gs2 home buttons.
Not really, it's only slightly overlapped at left and right sides, but not on the button itself, but on the frame of the button. I am speaking of less than one mm so it doesn't bother at all.
I had had this kind of protection in many gadgets and maybe it's not the best one, but is the best I've managed to find. As disadvantages I can mention that it's not suitable for stylus (I think that it isn't very important in this phone), some people may not like the "orange peel" look and with the time, the corners tend to spoil and to unstuck. As advantages, it improves the finger response, greatly improves the slide of them over the surface and, also, is the best thing I've found to "cure" scratches (it really seems to make them disappear when they are already there), it's very easy to install and relatively reusable.
The material is hard but somehow strange because it can stand some really hard damages of a certain type but sometimes, a different type of damage, not hard at all leaves its mark.
I'd like gorilla glass on this phone . Do you know if the screen alone is resistant enough? On my phone, about one week after buying it, it started to show some strange circle marks, not scratches, like color changes... I swear it hasn't been my fault, I keep it like a baby . Today I have found another new circle, they look like if you have polished the circumference. Maybe it's like the UFO happenings in wheat fields
Seriously is there any other case? Do you think that I should take it to the tech service and that they will believe me?

It looks like there were some bad fitted part on the right of the phone but it's only a camera or light error.

That is only Rs 349, i dont think you will get any phone for that price.....
there's no invisible shield for galaxy r, but u may try Copter which is pretty much the same.

Yes they are legit. I have one and it works much better than stock battery. I had to get a new one after two years but it is worth it.

I get one day out of a battery but I wouldn't call myself a heavy user. Mostly texts and some browsing durning the day. I paid $20 us just for one battery no extra charger. So it depends on how much you use your phone.

and how is that linked with Anker battery
Just got one last week as the stock battery was dying hard, to the point where taking a picture with flash would cause a reboot due to not being able to supply enough charge.
This one is great. Lasts much longer, no more random reboots! Buy it. :good:

I bought one of these a while ago. Makes me feel like I've pimped my sensation ! Made my battery life go from about 7 hours of general use(web surfing, a bit of music) to a full day easily. It's a shame newer phones don't have a removable back as I'd love to do the same to my next too.

i believe you have to open the pack first to view this...
or bring your magnifier and look close to the label printing, it should be a neat one, like this...

Picked up a T-mo note 5 on CL. Looked great; all features I could think to test were good. IMEI# check out as good mostly., I just didn't think to test the spen detection in the holder. It's broke. Dumbass must have inserted the pen backwards and yanked it out
Anyways I picked up all the tools I need to safely open the note 5 and see what I can do with the broken sensor; figured I'd keep this thread updated with my progress on fixing.

I wouldn't try a store, I would wait a week until tmo updates their system and sees that's the phone you hit and then call 611 and tell them the problem with NO mention of where you got the phone unless they ask and even then you can just say it was a present or something.
They don't like it when you don't buy phone off them and use Craigslist instead.
Like ThC23 recommended, I called 611 and they asked me when I bought the device, and I just said "IDK it was a gift." they asked me when the problem started and I said "IDK, it just never worked"
Tmo connected me to Samsung and they gave me an RMA number. I'm sending them my note 5.
Thanks for all your help guys. It's kinda a pitty though, I was looking fwd to taking it apart a bit lol.
Glad I didn't put my Note 4 on sale just yet. Looks like I'll be using it again for a few days.
So samsung didn't do anything to fix it, and they are just mailing it back to me. Looks like the A-hole who sold it to me lied (surprise surprise) the IMEI number has been changed, so samsung won't replace it.
So I'll be going back with my original plan of trying to fix it myself. I wish I could find that broken plastic lever that must have broken, online. but who knows. Maybe it's not working for another reason. There is at least one video where the guy takes Note 5 apart and shows us where it broke, but it just happens to work when he puts it back together, even though he didn't rly do anything to it besides remove the broken of bit off plastic that was preventing the sensor from moving.
As sad as this is, it just reminds us that buying off CL is not always a good idea. I feel for you. ?

My friend bought an S6 for $500 on CL. Seller reported it as stolen, IMEI was blacklisted. She had to pay $70 for a new IMEI.

Yea you can't take that to a T-mobile store ...you may have to contact Samsung. ..they won't entertain a phone not purchased at a store or online through T-mobile

yeah it's still taken apart cause my soldering iron is not meant for these tiny tiny components, but I have not given up. I actually got the spen detection working for a few minutes and it quit working, so I'm on the right track I just need to get better at the soldering. maybe I should stop by radio shack.
as for that plug I broke, i don't know what it does. I did a half assed soldering job and I got the note 5 back together to see what is not working and all I see is the lights on the front buttons don't light up. If that's all that that blue cable does I might not care...

Update: Spen detection sensor fixed!! hopefully it stays fixed this time.
Now I want to get that blue cable figured out. I suppose I could just quit and not have my front buttons light up. not much of a loss there.
--looks like its the gps cable.
-- no def not the GPS cable. GPS works fine.
-- finger print sensor gives an error. I bet it's just power going to the front buttons. weird thing is the lights on the buttons flickers with a vibration once when the phone boots up/.
