Flashed Resurrection Remix 1.0 (love the ROM, thanks). I find contacts being duplicated in contact search. Is there a solution for this? or is it that way in this ROM
Plus, the T9 contact search isn't working even after enabling it. Common in this ROM? (I can live with it, but will be happy to get it work)

Resurrection Remix is Great ROM, fast and smoth . . . i love it.
is there a way to install the original Samsung contacts on it, that would complete it for me
tried to replace the contacts and phone from stock. app FCs everytime to launch. so reverted to the old 1s

As the title says, but I cant post in the actual ROM thread as it says something about 10 posts witch is silly when you need support for a ROM you installed.
OK so I installed on my Samsung GT-I8160 the Resurrection Remix ROM from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688432&page=2 however It will not find any contacts on my sim just says no contacts on sim.
If I put the sim in any other android phone running stock roms then all of my sim contacts are there last tried stock was my brothers old backup S2 phone.
I remember something about mounting the sim but cant even find out how to do this in Resurrection Remix either.
Is this some bug in the ROM?????
I only ever store contacts to sim because if my phone ever gets wiped for some reason or I sell it or it breaks I still have all my contacts.
Can someone please help me get my contacts on the sim to show in this ROM, I love the ROM and dont want to have to reflash the phone with another one because of this problem.

OK I have now tried all available KitKat Rom's from this site for the GT-I8160 and it seems that SIM contacts are in accessible on all of them CynogenMod, PacMan, Revolution Remix and all KitKat based ROMS
Does anyone have access to the stock google contacts app. The one that is labeled just "people". Comes on CM11, AOSPA etc etc. I recently flashed the latest AOSPA ROM on my Galaxy Tab and for some reason whenever I open my contacts/people it FC's on me. So I wanna reinstall just that but I am having trouble finding the apk via google search. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
So I have recently installed Resurrection Remix on my Galaxy S6 SM-G920F and everything went smoothly...until something didn't.
My only problem with this Rom (I only believe its the rom, I haven't flashed my samsung backup yet) so far has been that when calling out or receiving calls, most of the time, I cannot be heard.
This even appeared to cause problems with my in-car bluetooth.
Does anyone have any solution to this problem or anyone suffered with this? I need to be able to use my phone as a phone for work especially.

It's a known problem on AOSP ROMs.
The only thing you can do is wait for bugfix.

Total shame because its an amazing ROM. I absolutely hate the TouchWiz UI and don't want to have to go back to it...might not have a choice at the moment.
Can you help me please? How did you install RR? I also have the S6 g920f. I tried it but it doesn´t work.
this is a review of resurrection remix i used for my moto g4+ as a daily driver. It's a great ROM to start with, its got all the customization options and stuff BUT....it lags like hell if we apply a substrantum theme. The whole point of having a custom ROM is to customize the look and feel of the phone. Many apps crash before they open. I dont know why it happens. What is the relation between a theme and an app(ps i didnt apply the theme to the app).
Another disadvantage is, resurrection remix roots the device by magisk, by doing so, many apps recognize the phone as rooted and did'nt allow me to use the app itself, like snapchat. It got me stuck at the log in page itself. I shifted back to stock ROM at the moment, will go back to RR soon and try to fix the ****.
Another thing, the stock camera app of RR is total BS, 3rd party camera apps from the playstore lag, the best i found till now is Footej Camera, which does'nt have pro mode but still clicks decent images.
PS I tried Magisk Hide but no use.

Ressurection remix is very great and absolutely stable, please visit the dev thread if you want further information. The device forum has also a help thread to seek help.
Also you didn't mention what ressurection remix rom you have(there are unofficial/official) and which version exactly.
Applying themes isn't supported by the rom itself, so if you apply a crappie theme or didn't clear the cache you will face such behaviors.
If you don't want magisk just uninstall it and use supersu!
There are stock moto camera apps too if you are not happy with the snapdragon camera.
In my opinion this is not a review or a bug report, it's just a rude post with abusive language.

I'm not at all complaining about the ROM. The ROM is perfect for daily use, but lags a lot if we use a theme. And i tried clearing the cache and Dalvik cache, but it was still the same. I'm NOT BASHING the ROM, its stable, but the custom overlays over the ROM suck. And no, i didn't apply a crappie theme. And i am using the official version of RR, there was a recent update where we can apply themes in-built by RR in the customisations panel. the updated version is 5.8.5.

Hey my wife has j7prime one sim card g610..we need rom WITHOUT bug coz or system 16gb and need storage so it can be offical rom or not android 7-8-9-10-11 dont care.im tired of install some custom rom they have whatsapl video call problem sime restart shutdown etc.
Hi. Even official ROMs have bugs. Unfortunately, there are WhatsApp bugs in most ROMs. Of course, using WhatsApp Business in most cases the problem is solved.

Which rom you advise then ?.i have already installed s20 port rom it takes really nice photos but i cant charge battery while phone shutdown.sometimes suddenly restart while using phone or not .and instagram video converstaion give echo.next or you conversation hear Voice themself back

I am currently using the BlackBird OS ROM, which I have not seen any bugs other than the camera problem in third-party applications. It also includes many tweaks to optimize the battery and increase the performance of the phone (in the build.prop file).

Use TRR Pure Edition, Light Rom, Venom Pie ROM, or any Oreo and below ROM that has been fully tested and has good feedback. It's hard to avoid even minor bugs on custom roms in general so don't go around complaining that roms have this bug and that bug because that's why the roms are FREE TO USE so users from the community can test them for the devs so that improvements can be made... If you want a BUGLESS rom then use stock firmware simple as that...
