Telus Phone mod question

hi i just bought touch pro 2 from telus and im using it on rogers gsm. i dont like the stock rom cant edit alot from it. was wondering if i can switch everything to strickt gsm radio and rom.
No you can only flash cdma roms to a cdma phone. If you flash a gsm rom you will have a big brick. There are many cdma roms in the below link. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=98
ok thanks i had moded the phone and changed all settings to work on rogers.

[Q] Using SGH-1727 on Tmobile - Modem?

I have the SGH-1727r from Rogers, unlocked, currently running Superlite ICS 5.0.
I have a working Rogers SIM, and a working T-mobile sim.
I will be traveling to NYC next month and want to be able to use the phone there.
Do I need to flash a custom modem or rom or anything else to make sure it works?

[q] using skyrocket in asia

Hi there, i'd like to ask about using skyrocket out of its own carrier.
i'm planning to buy unlocked AT&T Skyrocket from a friend.i was just impressed with this phone. such a great specification.
the problem is i live in Indonesia . will the phone back to Locked with carrier after upgrading the ROM? or is it unlocked permanently?
and will it be a Radio issues? i need someone to give an explanation coz it's rarely used here in Indonesia.
Thanks all....
no it will no relock after u flash a rom, once its unlocked, is permanent. Just find out what GSM frequency your carrier supports/uses and if the skyrocket can use that frequency. I don't see this being a problem though seeing how the skyrocket has a pentaband radio.
Short answer, it will work!

[Q] Skyrocket on Telus - But want to use Telus LTE

Hello I've been viewing for a while haven't posted cause I've had no real solid input or questions but after some in-depth searching for a few weeks I simply cannot find a way to get LTE with Telus and the skyrocket.
I don't want to flash the Telus radios in this area of the forums because it's made for the T989d. That radio will only give me HSPA+.
So I tired flashing the latest Telus S3 radio and for a while I was getting LTE fairly regularly except the baseband version in about still showed the original version for Rogers and I have no idea if it actually flashed.
I recently flashed Slim Bean 4.2.2 v4.2 and it's running great and so I went to flash the S3 radio again and about still doesn't show the new version, yet according to TWRP the flash was successful. I have yet to see LTE since flashing just "H" and "H+".
Is the S3 radio really any different from the skyrocket? and if so are there any Telus LTE compatible phones similar (WRT the radio) to the skyrocket that I can take a radio from?
Thanks in advance

Need some help please! What stock ROM to use - original carrier or current carrier?

Hi all,
I need to reflash my stock ROM (HTC One M9) after it got bricked. As usual, there are a number of stock ROMs available based on carrier. The phone was originally Rogers when bought, unlocked, then placed on the Virgin Mobile (Bell) network.
Should I flash the Rogers ROM or the Bell ROM?
