Are you saying that you have used this to successfully "specifically" unlock an I727 Skyrocket? Not just an Android phone, but an actual I727? I ask this because I have seen several people assume that because the device worked on a one type of Android phone that it will work on the SkyRocket...and so far that has not been the case. So if you can confirm that it works on the SkyRocket and that "You" yourself have used it on a Skyrocket that would be great. Otherwise, I would hate to see people misled. Thank for keeping us informed, and I'm not trying to give you a hard time, just trying to make sure that this does indeed works on the SkyRocket. It sure would be great if it does.
**Edit**
I727 is listed on thier website as a supported device as of 2 revisions ago...but is also listed as USD$ 169.99. I guess if you have a bunch of phones you plan on using it on it could pay for itself (@ $25 per unlock code on the unlock sites you need to unlock 7 phones to make it a value).
Thanks for posting..it certainly is an option.

the title is confused

[Q] Unlock Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi, I have a Galaxy Nexus locked to O2 UK just bought, do you think where could I have it unlocked? I need it asap to work on Vodafone.
I think it's a bit too early to say. Generally speaking you can do it... but u have to wait a little bit that things came out.l
Sorry to be off topic...but how do you like the phone? Does USB mass storage work? Give us something!!
Thanks. You are right. I have tried ALL possible unlock sites. No one have it. Maybe someone can hack the software.
@lowandbehold:
Sorry for the late reply but I was busy unlocking it. I have literally tried all unlock sites and no joy. Galaxy Nexus: It is my first Android and is hard to evaluate it comparing previous version of Android. I like the feeling having it in hand, although the plastic is not so great comparing with iphone it is still better than other Samsung phones. Being used with iPhone the menu could be a bit demanding but I think that this would be good after all. The display is great and this is the thing that made me change the iPhone. I didn't test USB mas storage yet. Sorry.
Galaxy Nexus unlocked
Finally,
I have unlocked my Galaxy Nexus.
After several attempts to unlock my phone, I've got 5 refunds from different specialized websites. (some of them prompt others after claiming it) Finally, this morning, as previously promised in an earlier email, samsungimeiunlock announced me that they have the code. Now my phone is unlocked, the whole thing took 10 minutes.

The only place to buy a Nexus in the US is Verizon. Verizon uses CDMA technology, not GSM. That phone WILL NOT work in India!! Don't do it!
samsung galaxy nexsus
hey guys i have unlocked my galaxy nexsus bootloader but it is showing me to put sim unlock code after puting the new sim can anyone help me out what should i do for this situation.
Hi
I have an IMEI unlock codes server, and I can provide unlock codes for all Samsung phones locked on European networks.
All models are compatible, even the most recent.
The unlock by imei don't make you loose your warranty, and it's permanent.
It's the easiest way to unlock your phone.
All you have to do is power on your phone with an unaccented sim card, type the provided unlock code, and the phone will be unlocked for ever.
The only info that I need is the IMEI of the phone. (type *#06# to see the IMEI)
And the model of the phone.
Delivery time: half hour normally.

Bounty - Enable International Capability

Hello all! Although I have been a forum follower daily, this is my first post.
I am offering up a bounty of $1000 USD to help me finally resolve the global capabilities of the Verizon I535.
Recently, I purchased this phone, replacing an iPhone, from Verizon in the US. I returned home here to the Dominican Republic and learned that this phone is not capable of connecting to our local networks other than Edge technology.
I started trying all the advanced settings through various ROM's and actually came VERY close to enabling 3G. The signal came on for about 30 seconds and then reverted back to Edge. CM10's ROM was the closest that gave me this option.
So! Who wants to join in this Bounty???? OR, would someone be interested in swapping my I535 for an ATT model??
Thanks everyone and looking forward to the follow up posts!!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did try everything that has been on that forum link.
I found another that I believe is on the right track to what may be missing in enabling true 3G.
This was the quote that caught my attention:
"If it is anything like the Rezound, it comes SIM unlocked from the factory, but the stock TW framekwork may not support the full GSM capabilities yet. CM10 doesn't sim unlock it, it just adds the missing code. "
Again, thanks for any info!

If there possibly is not a fix for this issue, is someone willing to trade a working Global phone for my S3?? Today I looked at a friend who has a Droid Razor that just received an update from Verizon and it works flawlessly. Also, the same friend has a Rezound working too.
Any takers? I'm starting to really HATE this S3 with this issue. It is like being on Dial Up internet service on an old Commodore 64 PC!
Frustrated....
You could buy an unlocked phone for the $1000 bounty.

Yes, I could, but I was trying to keep my i535. I cant find an ATT model S3 here locally in the DR for anywhere near $1000.
My carrier is Claro and the cost to buy one from them is approx $1485 USD. So, the Bounty is still less.
Good phones here in the DR are better than having gold in your pocket. Literally! People kill each other over technology here, sad but true.
If you want it bad enough - prepare to pay heavily.
You have a phone you would like to sell me then??
Holy cow, that's crazy. No I don't have one to sell you.

There is a thread for getting the VZW S3 to work on T-Mobile, but it takes some work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2013647
A few ROMs (as you indicated with CleanRom) have universal installers for different Carriers, but in no way does this mean that it will allow you to switch your phone to AT&T, Sprint, or any other carrier.

So cleanrom has a universal installer for At&T/H20 ? Is there a way to completely use on all carriers like a unlocked iphone ?

eh theres always a way ..
Correct me if I'm wrong.
But.
The Verizon galaxy s3 uses a CDMA antenna.
So if you were to unlock it. You could use on CDMA carries.( Verizon Wireless, Sprint, MetroPCS, Cricket, and U.S. Cellular)
However. If you can get your phone to FULLY work on GSM (T-MOBILE or at&t)
You should make a thread about it and I'm sure you will get tons of donations.
There is already something for T-Mobile. But I heard it has limited success.

Still a noob to the development scene, but long time surface runner in rooting/etc.
That being said, if this can be done (I took a look at the thread linked above), couldn't it technically work the other way around?
My fiancee has a Galaxy on T-Mobile, but wants the GS3. Her contract runs out about the same time as mine so I thought, I'll give you my S3 and buy the S4 for myself (she doesn't always need the latest and greatest like I do what can I say I'm a technophile). I quickly learned about locked phones, different network types, etc. In this case, since there's a 4GLTE SIM card in my S3, is it possible to give it to her to use on T-Mobile? In that case I may just migrate over to T-Mobile myself, since it's significantly cheaper for what I need in a cell phone plan. Otherwise, we're currently looking at adding a line to my Verizon plan so she can leave T-Mobile. Honestly, I'm OK with either idea, since I'm either saving money by going to T-Mobile, or sticking with great network coverage and speed on Verizon.

If you look up, you'll see how you can use the VZW GSIII on TMO. I think the primary issue would be that you only get Edge data when using the VZW GSIII on TMO.
For pricing, TMO is better plus you can stop worrying about third party hacks to use a phone on another carrier since top unlocked GSM phones can be imported.

[Q] Which one do I want? D:

Tried posting this in the S6 Edge forum already, but got no response, so hopefully you guys can help me out.
I'm upgrading from a very buggy Galaxy S4. (The bugs are my fault and I'm not savvy enough to fix them, so I just deal with them.) I have a few questions about which version of the S6 I should get because I'm seeing a lot of info and I'm not really sure what all of it means, so hopefully you guys can give me straight and simple answers.
1. Which version of the S6 do I want if I want to be able to switch between AT&T and Verizon? I'm currently on Straight Talk using AT&T. However, Verizon is overall the best in my area and areas I work, so if I get switched to a new client where AT&T doesn't work I may need to change back to Page Plus on Verizon quickly. I'm seeing conflicting information on these phones, some say all should work while some say only certain ones will work well (all of them seem to be speculating really, I can't find any "for sure this works" posts). At least there does seem to be hope out there that it's possible for some versions to be able to switch between the two easily, one of them being the Verizon one, which also lacks some apparently annoying features the AT&T one has.
2. An out-of-the-box, working mobile hotspot feature is extremely important to me if at all possible. My S4 is messed up primarily because my attempt at making things work, like the hotspot, didn't go so well. I've seen on these forums that some users are saying that at least the Verizon version will work if you use FoxFi, no rooting or tether file hacking required (so no risk of me breaking my phone, yay). I have the paid version of FoxFi already, so that's good news if it's true. Confirm/deny and is the same true for the AT&T version if I had to get that instead? I also just saw some mention of a file that can be downloaded to a rooted S6, but am unsure.
Thanks all!
I would say but the unlocked s6. U could switch the sim cards out np. Yes there is root for vzw s6 now

But which version of an unlocked S6 do I want? They all still have branding on them which can make some things work or not work from what I've been reading. Am not sure if the Verizon branded one will work for what I need or if I need a different one.
Am not really interested in rooting if I can avoid it because I might break a rather expensive device if I muck something up like I did with my S4. Just need a working hotspot and if I have to root to get it then I guess I have to, but I won't need the root for anything else.

Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 Unlock for Domestic Use with T-Mobile. Please help me.

I have recently bought a used Samsung Galaxy S5 with clean IMEI. The phone got unlocked thru Sprint by the owner and he was able to get MSL code from Sprint. I am not able to enter the MSL code. The phone doesn't ask me to enter the code at all. I am not able to save the APN settings to T-Mobile. I get "Invalid Sim Card" notification on the phone. Is this phone could be used in the States with GSM providers such as T-Mobile. I invested the money and not able to use it. Could you please help me on this? Thanks in advance.
your problem is that the MSL doesnt unlock the phone for domestic GSM use. There are a couple methods to do this. 1: there is a member of XDA who does the NV write deeds for free, but it requires him to remote into your phone and he lives in New Zeland so his availability is somewhere around 2 to 3 am CST. His work is solid, and from all that ive seen and personally experienced, he is trustworthy. 2: the sure fire method that isnt free. idoneapps.com has an unlock service that is $35. Ive unlocked 2 G900P S5s via their services, and theyre rock solid.
the guy who has been doing the unlocks XDA nick is Stifilz

sprint gives only MSL code which is good for nothing they just don't want your phone to get unlocked, the only thing they want is to get trapped in this MSL thing... the only way to get unlocked is get in touch with a unlocking guy... you can unlock your phone by EBAY.. i got my galaxy s5 n just $10...

this is correct. the MSL (master subsidy lock) is useless. The name seems like it wouldnt be, but it is. I havent tried the $10 unlocks on ebay, but Stifilz and idoneapps are confirmed working and gsmzamibia has good reviews too along with a list of other likely candidates. As the unlock ability ages, its likely legitimately available from more and more places esp seeing as how many folks are getting new phones and this one is becoming more popular on the used market. It can be done with a couple programs on your computer too, but it requires knowledge of manipulating the NV RAM, a dangerous area to go poking around in if you dont know what youre doing
